For the most part, he ignored their comments and stepped into the portal. The slight disorientation from the time travel passed and he was looking over a quaint little village where Mastema's Citadel had been moments before.

"Erudemasa... fine, I owe you... and only you, but one favor."

His crimson eyes came around full bore on the other two, then back to Eru. Xol had never seen them before and yet they had the power to distort time and who knew what else. It held little relevence to what his current objective was, but he would definitely keep tabs on them from here on out.

"My purpose in the Citadel is my own. Do what you will and stay far from me. For now I have no quarrels with you as you've helped me ascertain a goal much sooner than anticipated. However, untill you call upon your favor you are neither ally nor foe and I have no need for any of you."

With a simple affirmation from Zio, Nana would find herself taken from the conference room and moments later seated at the side of her bed. The seat between Micha and Eecheb was now vacant.

"I believe we are nearly done. With no other presentations, I will now present my current central project. Zio, display the data of the first four units of project Vanguard." At Mastema's command, the projection in the center of the table now circulated the image of four droids not unlike Proto's own design with several modifications. Around each display was data pertaining to the units performance, armaments, model number, and how complete each unit was; furthermore, one could note at each of these four units was very near 100% completion.

"The Vanguard units will be the cornerstone of citadel offensive capability. Each unit in itself is capable of combat capability equaling that of the Alpha and Omega Zenogais units if used effectively. However, their primary function is to act as a single unit with four bodies. When this is achieved, I estimate that their overall combat capabilities will surpass that of any opponent they encounter. Besides having battle programming far more advanced than any other unit in the citadel, they also have all of the battle data which has been gathered by Alpha Zenogais. The weapon types utilized by these units are also high end in comparison to previously made weapons." Mastema was certainly being at least a little boastful about these units, so much so that it seemed as if everything he had done before was towards the perfection of this project. Perhaps this was his answer to Tyr's question on the offensive capability of the citadel.

*Upon finding herself back in the bedroom and the bed, Nana would look around for merely a moment. It was all she had time for, before she felt dizzying after effects of the teleportation, which would leave Nana quite motionless and defenceless for at least a minute or two. It was something she'd likely never get over, since that type of teleportation just wasn't natural for her*

@.@;

*As Mastema "boasted" about his Vanguards, a simple light tink would be heard, as Micha lifted his glass from the table again to sip at his water. Whom ever was outside before, no longer appeared to be there now. That was of course, not quite right since in fact the four would be intruders were now five years in the past, staring at a bustling city full of humans. Back at the conference, by now Eecheb had slipped out of his seat and under the table. Why was anyones guess, but the lad still looked unnerved and restless, hopefully he wouldn't cause any problems. Meanwhile on the same level, Trilla at Mastema's side could see Eecheb and his stranger than normal behavior. It made her curious, which was good because it took her mind off of Tyrsais, which likely meant that Mastema could have his hand back now*

A slight pain wracked the creature, most likely attributed to the remnants of the distortion ebbing about the general area. Despite having seemed to be a controlled procedure, the elemental was disturbed by it. It's very existance had warped the rules of nature, and thusly warped the elemental. The flames upon the barrier ceased then, all at once, simply dying away. What once had looked like a pretty little show was now gone, leaving the barrier perfectly unmolested.

The voice too seemed a bit annoyed by the time travel, as was revealed by soft mutterings. As useful as time travel was, it hardly seemed to be worth the effort. Still, having been unaware as to the preperations involved prior to raising the barrier, one could only wonder if the group would be successful.

That, and it was surprising that Gatia hadn't shown up to say anything, or do anything about it. Gatia had always seemed to be a bit of an a*****e, for lack of a better term. That alone suggested he might be the type to be quite annoyed that others would dare to infringe upon his pastime. The very notion of Gatia hopping back in time to bitchsmack Eru and call him an ignorant maggot made the voice chuckle softly.

*After some time had passed, Nana had come out of her dizzy spell, and turned over on her side of the bed facing the window. She was about mid way, and had the pillow that Mastema rested on, firmly held to her chest. Nana was awake, but that was to be expected, why she had left the conference was something of a personal nature. It all revolved around one day, this being the second time Nana had done something special on that single day of the year. From the expression on her face, one could tell Nana was at least a little sad. It had to make one wonder what it was all about. A slight flinch and the pillow was held even tighter, Nana's face half burried into it. At least it was slightly comforting if anything, and Nana knew that everyone else was just upstairs. If the children misbehaved any, they could be sent down or to their rooms, or elsewhere. That would be up to Mastema for the moment*

::Tyrsais relaxed a little more back in his chair. Finally something worth taking note of, he would study the machines in front of him taking note of whatever technical data he could absorb out of all it quickly. He nodded slightly in approval::

See now... thats more of what I expect...

Mugiri awoke, aparently he had fallen asleep on the floor. He rose, his stiff spine popping loudly, and his wings stretching out soreness. He stretched his arms, and stood, stretching his body. It felt amazingly better than hours before, and marveled at his master's medicinal wonders. He could have easily woken up, and even easier repaired himself, but he could only trust his new powers so much. Speaking of new, his nails seemed sharper than before he slept, now black and tipped. He examined them slowly, overturning his hand. He called out telepathically, like as if he were talking to his master, but to a wider audience.... hopefully. "Master? Anyone? Can anyone hear me?" He hoped his new powers came with telepathy, for he grew tired of solitude. Ever since he had bonded with the child Kaiden; actually, since he had raised his own child, he had felt alone over long periods of time. Not the greatest kind of skill for someone in his occupation.

Mugiri shook his head in dismay. Noone had answered him. He rose, and looked around slowly. He was beyond antsy at this point, and now began to test his claws. He used the edge, but scraped against the bed he was on. The sheets ripped quite easily, as did the mattress and pillow.

Telepathy was amusing, and though the powers of Mas's newer addition were slight in comparison to the nueral throbbing behind the barrier, it was discernable. Indeed, the man that had been caring for Kaiden did interest, for one reason or another. For a moment the voice considered the possibility that Mastema might try to invade or pick up on every thought going in or out, or simply try and block them all. In the past a few minor tricks had been useful, such as the dreamlike introduction to Eecheb.

If only the travesties of time and space had been a bit more kind, perhaps the enslaved elemental might not be acting as something by which the voice channelled it's thoughts. It was simple, it was direct, and it was sent towards the man who'd literally pulled Kaiden from the depths of hell.

Hello... Was the simple offer to the man's head, the thoughts coming as they often did, in the raspy disembodied voice of something that never was.

*kaiori looks at the barrier which had once caused so much fear in her. Her wounds still bleed and she knows her time is coming, only luck and will kept this woman alive. Her black and white hair sticks to her forehead with blood. Her lips are plump and red as a crimson coat of liquid glistens on them. Her blue eyes quiver as her every breath brings her closer to doom.*

"I shall refrain from going into detail at the moment, because some of the specifications are long-winded and perhaps esoteric, but I shall go on with those later if any of you wish. Aside from these four, there is also a fifth, rather special one which is currently incomplete. However, all of these units function in different degrees of speciality in combat and can function individually to great effect and in unity to devastating effects. They are using new types of technology in our arsenal as well, not the least of which is positron based weaponry." Mastema had incorporated a nuclear weapon system into this project, positron weaponry. Perhaps this was his counter to the plasma based weaponry used by their assailants. "These kinds of weapons will interact with and annihilate the electrons making up the enemy at their substances. In essence, they will be destroyed at their atomic level."

Proto wondered about these new drones, but had little time to do that before his thoughts were interrupted by the appearance of yet another outside the barrier: Kaiori. Proto had only met her once, but with the use of citadel surveillance, Proto could deduce who she was, despite her now human body. Kaiori's looks were also now similar to how they had been when Proto had last seen her. Mastema had allowed those outside to go freely for the moment, even allowing the elemental's telepathy with Mugiri, but Proto wouldn't let this one slip. Turning to Thanatos, Proto informed him in his own language of Kaiori's presence, and what he could tell of her condition.

"Nani!?" The shout from Thanatos had come too loudly to be surprised at Mastema's statement. With only a brief look from those in the room, Than stood up, speaking: "I'm sorry, but I have to go, now! I'll come back if I can and catch up!" Not having enough time to say goodbye by the time he got to the door, Than quickly went about getting what was necessary by what Proto told him. It was time to come face to face with Kaiori, whom Than had at one time held so dear but was now so distant from, once again.

Mugiri froze, mid-rip. The single word of 'hello' had stopped him in his tracks, when not even pleads of mercy, and promises of riches have before. He scratched his head, slightly confuzed, and looked around. "Hello?" He said, and thought at the same time, unsure whether it was a trick of technology or telepathy.

*Thanatos' sudden should had attracted the attention of the children, and now he was leaving? What was going on? Trilla had turned to watch Thanatos go, Eecheb was still looking around underneath the table with a strange expression, and Micha didn't do much more than place his glass back onto the table. A moment or two after Thanatos had left, Eecheb had turned to where Thanantos had once been, then to the way he had gone, still the odd look plagued him, what was up with that? With Thanatos gone, his siblings couldn't keep track of him, they had one less thing to focus on and that spelt trouble. Nana would come back to the conference room soon, but not just yet, she still needed a few more minutes to herself to be put back into the proper frame of mind*

Kaiori amused, as she often did, and as she always did, lured Than foolishly from hiding. If only the voice had it's old body, it's old devotion, it might try and remove from Than other useful body parts. Nonetheless it had neither, and knew not of Than's rushing, and cared little of Kai's presence. For now, there was simply the coversation with the man inside.

You're not insane... The same voice teased, the tone having lightened to that of perhaps a child. A long-starved child who spoke only of malice, despite the mockery of innocence in their voice. It was assuredly the one and only, the posessed, the ever-assaulting and insatiable rapist of a child, who spoke with Mugiri.

*Kaiori's face held a soft somber expression. She had done her duty now, the one she had tried so hard to avoid all these years. She was basically useless now to anyone. She had given birth to two beautiful children, who would, she knew, sometime soon find their own loves. She had created the next promising generation, as was meant to be. Her children held great potential to change the world in immense ways. Soon, she thought somewhat happily, soon she would be with her first child, her beloved Beleth. Crimson stains her very pure white existence but she would not heal her wounds, she simply let her blood flow.*
