Green eyes brightened immediately and her gold slashes flickered as the child happily nodded. "Finally, I didn't think we were ever going to make it." Serino got a pat though because she didn't want him to think that she wasn't happy with him. A moment later she was bounding off the Zephyr as he came to a stop and reaching for various pieces of luggage and heading for the front door, knocking a few times. Looking back at the adult elf with her she sighed, "Come on Isle, we have to hurry."

Zykariel puffed out hsi chest. "I was the navigator and Daddy even let me block one of the babies from leaving when we visited Laudi. And I didn't get lost a single time though I think I upset him by asking questions." Thus toddling over and taking Rawr from that same spot where he'd been sitting. "Still studying? Can't you take a break?" A look up to Piper wiht those big purple eyes. "Please Miss Piper?"

Dragomyzl looked at the new arrival, a large variety of weapons strapped to both front and back, and cocked an eyebrow. His eyes quickly scannin the impressive inventory, and with a sigh of dissapointment at not finding that which he was looking for, rubbed at his temples. It was futile to think that he would find something of that rarerity and power so quickly, it seemed that instead he found someone with whom he had no time to interact with. "You're kind right, I'm not from here, nor do I wish to join your kingdom, I come merely in search of something. I intend no harm I assure." At least not intentional anyway, he thought to himself.

Of course Sevilin didn't show any sign of pain, mostly because it really didn't register and he had been used to body parts being twisted in odd ways. He was more or less sawyed by Malik using pressure points to cause involuntary bodily reactions. Still angry though, that was clearly seen.

He snickered. "Did you know your son looks at me the same way? Or have you not been paying attention to such things." After all, it was quite natural for children to be intimidated by those bigger and holding a stronger physical prescense around them. Though he wasn't so stupid as to go for Malik when he had his hand on that sword.

"You should never have told him at all, even in vague terms. Lloth is dead here, and Cafellian influence is null and void here. It is something he did not even need to know and now you've put thoughts into his head that shouldn't be there. I wanted him to know nothing of those. Understand why I'm upset, I think you don't. How about I tell your son all the things you've done? The things you don't want him to know about you...like all the people you've slaughtered and reveled in thier blood, quite enjoying it." Hard ball indeed.

"I thought questions weren't bad." Blinking curiously before his pen was plucked from his hand and his mother lifted him from his lap, setting him to the floor. He gave a little smile. "That's a yes!" Throwing his hands up and giggling before settling lightly and turning a look to his mother. "Thank you mommy." His attention briefly turning to Arthur as he came in and plopped down. "Hi Arthur." Before realizing that he was talking business with his mother. "I'm done studying now."

Her attention turned from the children and to Arthur. "Well, you're right to the point aren't you. And specifically a zephamre hm? Why one of those?" Yes she did question decisions as such out of business habit. Propping an elbow on the table, she rested her chin on the back of her hand and smiled to Arthur. "After all, there are choices." Her attention shifting a moment as a servant came to her, and handed her a letter before going back off. Eyes back to Arthur.

"Impatient as ever. I remember being that way." Isle gave a chuckle and shook her head before grabbing her own battle and giving Serino an apple and a pat. "Thanks Serino." Before following the little elf to the door. They were supposed to knock? Huh, that was interesting. After all, Isle didn't know how things worked down here, she just knew that Kieran couldn't make it this time and she had volunteered to be the accompanying adult. Though her eyes glowed in the darkeness, the gold around her pupils already infused with light in perparation for the dark atmosphere that she wasn't used to.

Arthur blinked a little when he finally noticed that Piper's son was in the room as well. "Oh hey little man, it's good to see you again you know? You look so strong! I'm sorry for bargging in without saying hello I've been thinking about owning a horse for so long they are all I could think about." A light chuckle came from him as he turned back to Piper with a light smile. "Well I've ridden one before and I found the mare to be pretty good, though if you want to show me some other choices I really wouldn't mind at all." He has seen the horses that Piper and Zahara have been breeding and they look really well, the two elves have been taking care of them pretty good so it doesn’t matter what he winds up with as long as he finds it suitable for him.

"Daddy Kieran says I'm jumpy as a june bug." Lharika waited about five seconds before she reached out and pushed open the door to meet Keely a moment later. "Keely!" Throwing her arms around the human's waist and then grinning. "I'm back. Where's Khai?" Peeking around the woman to see into the hall to locate the toddler she adored. "I have a surprise for him."

"So did I but he was really upset about some of them." Then a wave to Arthur before grabbing Malikhai's hand and pulling him off. "Let's go play." Of course to get up to the nursery they had to go through that front hall since the stairs weren't that far from the door. And when he reached the hall her heard a familiar voice and saw a new pair of boots. "Lharika! Look, Malikhai, Lharika's here and she's got a lady with her." Zykariel grinned his little lopsided grin and waved, "Hi, you look a little like Miss Piper and Arthur."

Malik's eyes narrowed slightly.

"My son fears you not for your actions, but your runes. that's why my son is afriad of your presence. Other than that, he considers you something akin to an uncle."

A slight smirk.

"Go ahead. Tell him the horrors of my past. tell him about Bloody Kithcor, and about the slavery and the use of slaves and the butchering of those that opposed me. I already told him about Malvolence, with no harm done. And if you told him and he questioned me, I woudl tell him why, and tell him why I am no longer like that."

A sigh.

"We can argue this back and forth all day, Sevilin. Or, we can be particularly nasty about it. want my Illusionist to bury that conversation into the deepst part of his subconcious? Want me to make some kind of restitution for it? I don't talk to my son like he's inferior to me. I don't talk to yours like he is either."

Malik took malvolence off, and set it aside.

"I can't show my son runing, becuase it's harmful to me to do it to a degree to make your abilities seem less threatening. you want to tlak with my son? go right ahead. but don't come bitching at me becuase you aren't prepared for your son to find out about your past. In fact, it coudl work to your advantage when the time comes, and it is coming, that he's going to start seriously questioning the differences between Zahara and Piper when it comes to treatment of thier sons."

"A june bug? Try a whole swarm of them." Rolling glowing eyes lightly before following the child in as she didn't wait too long, and Isle laid her eyes upon the teenager she hugged. Was that a human? Looking at her ears said yes, seeing as that was what Kieran said. Yay new experiences. But her ears twitched at the sound of the small voice and her eyes came to rest on the two children. She had yet to meet either boy.

A grin at Arthur and he beamed a little. "I'm growing up." Then a shrug. "People get like that about her horses." Before letting himself be dragged off, throwing a 'bye' back to them before his attention was brought to Lharika and someone new they had never seen before. "Aunt Lharika!" Thus running over to his adoptive aunt for a hug and some attention and spoiling of course...even if the little elf he was running two was still a little elf herself.

Piper waited breifly as he flattered Malikhai and then let his attention come back to her. "All depends on preference. Zephmares depending on dominance differ after all, or you can go the pure route of either, or if you like wings, the pegasi." A little shrug, all routine business for her. "What's your riding style Arthur?"

"You think you'd act that way, but when the time comes and it smacks you in the face, the reaction is quite a bit different." Trying to keep rein on his temper at bit here, mindful of indeed what Malik could do if he pushed too far. "And you could tell him, but do you think he could honestly understand fully? Or better yet, understand the assumptions made about you?"

Shaking his head lightly. "He's an elf, he never forgets...burying things doesn't make them go away forever." Oh he knew that one particularly well now didn't he? He couldn't argue too much, the damage had been done, the kid had funny ideas in his head. Though he watched with some intrigue as he took off Malvolence. Clearly Malik wasn't looking to pick or persue a fight with him.

"He doesn't need to know about my past, it'll do him no good to know of it." Really, it wouldn't. There was less value in that than studying dust. But a raise of an eyebrow as Malik brought the women into the conversation and Sevilin frowned. "What do you mean?" After all, he didn't particularly pay attention to Piper now did he?

"Fair enough. and I'll cross that bridge when it enivitably comes."

a shake of his head, motioning to a seat.

"Piper treats Zykariel the same way she treats Malikhai. she holds him when he cries or gets upset, she soothes him when he's worried. She treats him like a son. Zahara, as we both know, is trying to keep some distance...even though I think we both also know she wants to be more to the boy. But Zykariel is starting to notice the differences. It's only a matter of time before he starts questioning why Zahara doesn't act toward him the way Piper does Malikhai."

Resuming his seat.

"I don't know all the details of the arrangement between you two, or how things are coping with you all living together. So I'm not going to try and presume to know a good course of action. but the small knowledge he has of Llothian people can also explain that women weren't as attached to thier children, and provide a reason for him for Zahara."

Lharika beamed at Malikhai and hugged him back, ruffling his hair then smiled at Zykariel as well. The other boy got a hug and pat on the back and then she turned to Isle. "Introductions must be made, yes?" Thus rubbing her hands together she pushed the boys in front of her, laying an arm around each shoulder and smiled. "Isleandra, meet my nephews, Malikhai D'vinn and Zykariel Inthara. Zykariel's adopted, like me," she said by way of explanation. "Boys, this is Isleandra Rainsong, a friend of your mother's Malikhai. She's going to be staying her with us for a little while just like me."

Zykariel studied her closely and grinned. "Welcome to Twilight Miss Isleandra. Is that okay if I call you that or would you like something else?"

Introductions complete she ruffled both white heads and grinned. "I have a surprise for you two but you'll have to be really good and sit on the couch and not say a word. He might scare easily being in a new environment and I wouldn't want you two to get hurt, okay?"

At the word surprise, Zykariel got a huge grin on his face. "What'd you bring us Aunt Lhark? Hmm? Tell us? Please?" Getting hurt implied something dangerous and or alive and Zykariel loved both of those more than life itself.

Arthur smiled lightly at Piper's son, the older elf knew that someday that little boy will grow up to become a great man and as for Arthur he would have the pleasure of being around to see it. "You got a great boy there Piper, he'll be a somebody when he gets older that's for sure." Anyways he had to get back to their business deal and figure out what he wanted to have. "Well my riding style...I do like to be noticed when arriving at a place, though if my ride could be a bit more airborne that would be nice...a little bit of both wouldn't be bad you know?" It was kind of hard trying to figure out his riding style since he maybe have been on the kinds of horses Piper and Zahara have ben breeding a few times in awhile so he wished he could of had a better feel for what he wanted.

Point made, he felt better. Though his listened in that intent manner that he often did when something had caught his attention and deemed that he should give all of it to. Oh Sevilin and your funny way of thinking. And he held in a snicker. So, that surface elf had been more attentive to his son that he had been aware of....hm, was that a good thing or a bad thing? "Whether we know that or not, she's the one who reminds me again and again that she doesn't want to corrupt him."

Which then made no sense why she was still around his house. Though she claimed that someone had to take care of them both and that Sevilin was hopeless in most aspects of good self care and thus care of a child. He disagreed, but that was him.

"The details are bare, she believes me hopeless in certain aspects and thus wants to play homemaker and caretaker. She's the babysitter when needed, and even then she backs out sometimes." And well...that was about it. Though he did raise an eyebrow...damn it, did he have to be right in an aspect like that. "It works in that aspect, but I still have to deal with the other more adult relations that he's gotten in his head..." Yup, gonna brood about that.

He looked up at Isle, tilted hsi head then gave one of his best impressions of his father that he could do. After all, daddy seemed to have a good manner when talking to people he wasn't familiar with. "Pleased to meet you Isleandra." Though manners and such were forgotten at the mention of a surprise...and it was a striaght shot to the couch, pulling Zykariel with him as he climbed up and plopped himself. "Ready!"

"Well aren't they adorable." Wasn't it indeed. "Like a couple of berries...one black berry and one blue berry." Indeed, Malikhai was just like his father in color. And Zykariel had the prettiest eyes that she had ever seen...looked like Zahara's. Wait...this was the child Zahara had been pregnant with, wasn't it? But her look came back to Lhark. "Be gentle now...don't want to break anything."

Piper chuckled. "He'll be just like his father, making sure that he gets noticed and his due recognition." But indeed back to business. She took a moment to think in her head based on what he was saying. A nightmare wouldn't do for him, but a zephmare or a pure didn't seem to cut it either. "Mmm...how about a winded zephmare that's nightmare dominate? I think I have a few of those around. Gives you your smooth ride with your flare of style and then the airborne aspect as well. But more tempermental, but nowhere near a pure nightmare temperment."

Arthur thought about it for a little while, his eyes turning upwards which allowed anyone to know that he was thinking about something with a lot put into it. The horse sounded nice and to his asking it seemed to suit him really well, maybe this winded zephmare maybe the perfect horse for him. After thinking of it for a little while the surface elf turned his attention back to Piper with a small smile. "I think you got it, though I would like to see one first before deciding on it you know? Just incase it may not be the one I want." If one thing Arthur has learned while trying to strike a deal was to see the item that is wanted first before actually agreeing to take it.

Lharika nodded and walked over picking up a bag very gently and cradling it in her arms. Walking over to the boys she set the bag down on the floor and lowered her voice. "Now, we need to speak softly so we don't startle anything, yes?" Waiting for their agreement, she carefully reached into teh bag and withdrew the creature.

It looked like a mix between a canine and a dragon with a little bit of feline mixed in. His body was that of a feline's with intermixing scales a slight greenish color on his back, upper legs and stomach and fur a soft dull brown everywhere else. Two sets of wings, the back wings smaller sprouted from his sides and he had the webbed spiking of a dragon along his back, snout, and tail. Bursting from the end of course was the fluffy tail one would expect a fox to have as well as ear tufts, his head canine in shape. He had the claw structure of a dragon and had three toed paws and Lharika knew how easily he could rend skin with them not to mention the poisonous aspect they carried. His eyes were closed, thin eyelids covering them but he blinked sleepily and chittered as she removed him from the bag.

"He's just a kit or a baby so we have to be really careful but this boys is a Draithix and my new pet. Isn't he sweet?" She carefully held the football sized creature cradled to her chest and settled down between the two children. "If you're going to pet, do so gently and stay away from his face."

Zykariel eyed the new pet with interest and grinned. "He chitters!" Of course it was said in that hiss whisper yell thing children did but hey he was trying to be quiet. "Just like Nym. Cool Aunt Lharika!" Reaching out he tentatively ran his hands along the scales and then the fur as his eyes lit up. "So neat! Feel him Khai."

The draithix curled up contentedly in her lap and yawned lightly revealing jaws full of canine teeth before settling back down, opening one emerald eye as tiny fingers touched and then closing it again.

"Well it's going to come up, fair warning given. and I swear, that woman needs someone to just smack her upside the head and make her admit these things."

Though a slight shrug.

"some things can't be helped. But I think we've been down here long enough. Though I thnk it might behoove you to be a little more attentice to anytihng in your arsenal that's anti-undead. appearntly there is a report of something undead that doesn't belong to me romaing around."

"But of course Arthur, I don't sell without showing. Not only do you have to like it, but it has to like you too." A passing servant was told to get her log books and they waited until it was brought back and Piper flipped through the pages. "Well...looking at my records I have three that are old enough to ride and what not, let's go take a look, shall we?" Getting up from the table then. Of course though to go outside, one had to cross paths with the little group, causing Piper to stop. Wow, that girl was fast in resposne...though she was surprised to see Isle instead of Kieran. "Well well, a Rainsong."

Isle watched Lharika, though she knew that the girl would be careful. Draithix, quite the creatures...and thought extinct in Andal until a recent little colony Kieran had stumbled upon. They were once hunted for various reasons, but Kieran since he had 'rediscovred' them, got dibs on what to do with them. Turned out they were useful creatures. But her attention shifted, blue tipped ears twitching at the familiar voice. "Is that a Silverfeather I spot?" Turning to her friend and walking over, giving her a hug and then a look to Arthur. "Another surface elf down here? And you had me thinking you were the only brave one Pip."

"This is Arthur Murdock...or Galesen Coldiron." Just to cover her basis on what Arthur may prefer, after all he was speaking to another elf whom was only aware of elves. A look over to Lhark and the boys. "What do they have there, and what are you doing here anyway?"

"Remember those Draithix? They weren't extinct after all. Your father wrote up a journal on them for you and Malik...to perhaps let you all know details if you wanted to start a little population of them. They made great familiars and the like, good messengers, rather smart." But her attention turned to Arthur. "Pleased to meet you good elf, Isleandra Rainsong is the name." Brushing purple strands from her eyes with blue tipped fingers. "And Kieran couldn't get away from his kingdom duties."

Malikhai's eyes lit up at the sight of this strange new creature. He was just a kit, but he looked neat already. "Oooooo." That was his basic response, but he kept his voice low, watching in wonderment at this creature that wasn't exactly one thing, but a few of them. He didn't quite know what to make of him. But he did take to petting him, his little hand moving over sail ridging and then scales and fur. "He's all soft...even his scales feel soft. I though scales were hard..." Were they soft because he was young, or just soft because they were so smooth? "Where'd ya get him?"

"Then you can hit her...good luck." Shaking his head lightly. But then a raised eyebrow at the mention of undead things. "Why is it always undead? Well...as long as it isn't anything like that lich." Seemed Malik was tiring of being cooped up in this room and they were quite done. "On another note...all of your defenses are in order and Laudi's eggs are hatched or hatching." There he gave his report too.
