*Rolling her eyes Kyiana followed Erudemesa once more towards a portal. Sure, time travel would work, but she hadnt thought Erudemesa would go so far as to disrupt time for such traveling.*

Xol leapt off the Citadel barrier leaving a massive ripple in his wake.

He landed roughly ten or so odd feet away from the open time portal and followed the two beings as they walked towards it to join the other. This was, perhaps, the easiest route into the Citadel barrier without having to expend vast amount of his own energy. Not like it mattered, but he would be a fool to pass up such a perfect scenario.

"You there... to whom would I owe the favor if I were to join this little troupe in entering the barrier beyond."

The mist once surrounding his body finally lifted. His crimson eyes narrowed into slits as he stopped and the ground cratered under foot much like the barrier he had left moments before.

It was a dicey move, trusting these three with such a skill as time travel, much less the chance that they might strand him in the past. However bad that may sound though, he would, at current form, utterly obliterate all life from five years past. Mastema, Truinthil, Focht... they would all be play things to him. That was not the pressing matter though, he wanted in to the barrier and this was seemingly the only way.

*Sundel followed directly after Kyiana, not deciding whether or not Xol could come. He would be a powerful ally, however, he wasn't really one to be trusted. She figured she would leave it to Kyiana, as she seemed to be in charge of the troupe. Until she decided, Sundel would keep her mouth shut.* -_o

"Sure, you can come with us, Mr. Xol! You'd owe the favor to me, Erudemasa." Eru said, turning to face Xol. This had been one of the reasons he'd decided to head to Mastema's citadel before trying to meet with Xol, as they would run into each other here. He'd also seen countless versions of what would happen when Xol was inside, but kept all of those carefully to himself. "We were actually going to go talk to you once we were done here, but this saves time. Trust me, we'll come-a-callin' on that favor in due time. Actually, it'll be just as soon as we're done here." Eru smiled his normal innocent smile before adding "Oh, and before any of you contemplate changing the past, know that the instant you try to change something significant, Paradox will eject you from the timestream, drive you mad, and rip you to shreds. This even goes for you two, Kyiana and Sundel. This is my domain and none may play with it but me. Just keep that in mind during out brief stay here."

Then Erudemasa turned to his dream-travellers and said "Well, then you're free to stay close until you get your bearings. I don't mind." Eru then turned to admire the town. It was, at the moment, abandoned. This was long before Mastema had put up his barrier and transformed this place into his domain. As it was now, it was little more than a village, abandoned by its residents. Erudemasa sighed and waited for his companions to recover from the usual slighty disorientation of time-travel.

Pleasant sounds perplexed, and you get a distinctly innocent feeling from Trip.

Trip finally speaks in his southern drawl.

"I reckon yon cowpoke is bad news Eru my boy, watch him like a ratler in the bush."

You can feel him looking at Xol.

By now, the others might have noticed what looks like Eru talking to himself. Neither of the dream-folk are visible.

*Kyiana looked from Erudemesa to Xol then back again.*

I have no objections to his coming, but I do wish you would inform us other two of what's going on in your head from time to time. Either that or I'll wring it out of you once in a while.

*She shook her head and rubbed her eyes. Other than that small display however, her voice was still emotionless, as were her eyes and face.*

A subtle quiver was the only sign of noticing the portal, or those that made use of it. A quiver in the creature, one that extended to the flames upon the barrier. The flames themselves seemed... disturbed, and as such yielded far from the time-travelling troupe.

"You really think that will work?" The creature mumbled, it's scratchy voice barely making it's way past the skin that covered where a mouth should've been. Such implants as a 'voice' would take long to grow accustomed to.

"Eh? With all this cup and wine and alter bullshit, I don't see why not. God only knows how many times the kid has dropped the damn thing, maybe he'll get it right one day?" Another voice questioned, it's meager attempt at reassurence quite lacking. A familiar voice, the type that danced upon the air without a source. Cheerily conversing with the creature who watched.

"You never make sense. I don't understand why you would spend so much time to make a weapon you never used on your target. Why you linger when you cannot act, and why you've asked me to watch something you could easily witness. That... And I don't understand what you are." The creature retorted, having found it's way about the words slowly, mispronouncing them slightly. The thing that had been nagging it for quite some time seemed agitated, and continued to flood it's mind with images. There was just something about that group that intrigued the unseen voice, and the creature was betting it had a lot to do with the very time-manipulation that was threatening to rend him apart.

*Sundel crossed her arms once again after Kyiana's comment* Agreed. *After this, she turned to Xol, whom she would now regard* -_o Try anything funny, Solaris, and I shall break you. Now, Erudemasa, why aren't we allowed to tinker with the past? I do believe that disposing of the target would be easier in the past. Also, there are quite a few others I'd like to take care of that managed to get past me.

*Since for the moment, there seemed to be a silent point at the table, Nana would speak up. What she had to say however was, probably not expected. Especially since the conference was anything but done, by a far cry no, there was still much to discuss. So, what Nana had to say begged to ask the question... why?*

--__--

I'm sorry... but, I'm afraid I'm going to have to excuse myself from the conference for the time being... I may return later... if that's all right.

*This meant the children would have one less pair of eyes to watch them and make sure they behaved themselves. Why now of all times Nana chose to leave, probably only she knew.... maybe. Though she didn't move her chair at all, it almost appeared as if she wasn't going to. She sounded more herself again, and she blinked a few times, the first her eyes had been opened in minutes*

"Hmm.... Thanatos, I do believe this new armor has much potential to it, but for something that will involve redesigning current android designs I will need a more thorough design plan of how this high negative charge could be safely attained. I would prefer to focus on Proto's other two ideas before moving onto this one." Mastema gave his response to this new electrically reactive armor idea.

Thanatos nodded, adding, "Hai. That will be it for Proto's presentations. However, there are some other things I'd like to address."

"Oh?"

"Hai; however, they don't necessarily relate to the citadel - they relate to Proto. So, would it be best if I saved my questions for a private time?"

"I think so. For now let us keep this conference to issues which could affect the citadel more directly. I shall answer any questions you have about the prototype after the conference," was Mastema's response. Thantatos's questions about Proto - ones which in all likelihood related to information Thanatos had uncovered on the disc - would be answered elsewhere. Proto seemed indifferent to it.

"Hmm?" Mastema turned to Nana, as did most of the others, when she spoke up. It was confusing to most of the table as to the reason she would leave now, especially when there was actually very little left to cover on the conference, but Mastema knew better than that. "Nana, you can come and go as you wish. However, I think it against the best interest to go outside the barrier at the moment. Conditions seem unsafe at the moment. If you do wish to go, it would be best to wait until someone can accompany you." It was easy to see that Mastema wasn't denying Nana the chance to go outside because he was restricting her unjustly; he was just concerned with her safety. The rest of the table was just lost on the whole subject, and let Mastema handle it.

Unsafe? How so?

*A valid question of course. How was it unsafe right now, and if so why hadn't actions been taken to make it safe again? Aside from that, Nana did have something she wanted to present or talk about.... but at the moment, it just wasn't a good time. Hopefully she would however be given the chance later, pending she wasn't too late to return to the conference*

"There are several unknown persons outside of the barrier at the moment. I cannot ascertain that they are a threat, but it is not worth the risk to go out there alone while they are present. Thus far, they have done little, from what I can tell, to try and penetrate the barrier." Mastema of course left out the fact that one of them was powerful enough to create a temporal distortion not unlike the one which brought Gatia to this world. Truthfully, Mastema didn't think much of people who were too stupid to try the easy methods first.

Proto, at Mastema's words, turned to look in the direction of where the distortion had occurred. He would take up arms against them if necessary, that was a given, but Gatia was what came to his mind at the moment. The mysterious energy rain wasn't really as bad as it had been a while ago.

Hnn... Then I will simply not go outside.

*A simple solution really, though how did Mastema know that Nana wanted to go "out"? Reading her mind again perhaps, something he said he wouldn't do, as to allow her privacy. Unfortunately that wasn't always so. At the same time, Eecheb was still looking around a bit. The boy seemed, uneasy for some reason and it probably wasn't because Nana wanted to step out*

Mastema nodded at Nana's response. He had no quarrels with her wanting to leave. It was easy enough for him to talk to her later about other things. "All right. Take care, dear; do not feel hesitant to contact me if you need any help." If Nana thought Mastema was using his telepathy without consulting her first, then she wasn't quite faithful enough to Mastema's abilities. Mastema was a sharp thinker, and more than that he was continuously connected to the main citadel computer via telepathy; he could access past information without much thought to it. He knew Nana well enough to judge what was happening; sadly, he knew much more about her than she knew about him.

Thanatos would just smile lightly and nod to Nana when she left. The rest of the table would gesture their farewells also.

Zio... Could you please teleport me to the master suite?

*Nana had improved with her walking, but she wasn't anywhere near ready to take on stairs by her self yet, thus her request for teleportation... reguardless of whether or not it made her dizzy. It couldn't be determined if Nana really thought that Mastema had read her mind or not. He had given Nana his word afterall, but it was also true that Mastema knew more about Nana, than she did about him. Aside from the considerable age difference, Mastema had completely ravaged Nana's mind at an earlier date, before she had arrived with him here in the BC region. It had left Nana unconcious for four and a half days, a very unpleasant experience. One that Nana wasn't all too happy about either, in fact after she had gained her strength again, the first thing she did was to strike Mastema across one side of his face. But Nana.... she hadn't really inquired too much into Mastema's past. She wanted to let him tell her on his own, a process that wouldn't happen all that fast considering Mastema's nature. Though if Nana were truly curious and asked a few questions, then perhaps Mastema would tell her at least a little*
