He still frowned. Malik. Now that elf had crossed a line that should of never been crossed. And boy was he going to hear it. Sevilin was not a happy drow at all. Reaching down as Zykariel turned around, he picked the boy up along with the map and set him on his knee. "So, Malik and you had a little chat about where me and your mother come from? What else did he say hm?" Lightening his tone some so the boy wouldn't think he was in trouble. Yes, avoiding his question for now.

He was more than happy to sit there on his father's knee, a common place for him really and happily repeat most of the conversation to his father. "Well, Mr. Malik said that because you came from Llothia and the women were so mean to you, you had to be passive. And because he came from somewhere else he was much angrier. A lot more aggressive. But that I shouldn't be afraid of him because we were in a House together and that meant that no one else could come on our pirate ship without permission."

He frowned for a moment and shook his head trying to think back. "He said something about Lloth and priestess and how they liked to hurt men. To...play!" A grin then and he nodded. "Yes, Mr. Malik said women had playthings and their toys were...men. Daddy how come you let them play with you if you really didn't want to? You don't let Zara play with you now, do you? Aside from cards sometimes?"

Oh no, not happy at all, and he had to remind himself to push down a rising rage that he was feeling for the sake of his son. "Oh, so you had a nice long involved talk with Malik about such things." It was not Malik's place to tell him those sorts of things at all. And this was one issue that Sevilin didn't feel the need to be passive about. After all, Malik was poluting his son's head this time. That was something he wouldn't stand for at all.

Though now he had to deal with questions just so the boy wouldn't ask him things. "Well...it was all very...rough play and they were big bullies...but you shouldn't hit women so it's better to just be passive." Lying somewhat wasn't he? Of course he was. "And they whined if they didn't get to play with the boys...like when Keely whines about you not letting her be a captain when you play pirates." There we go, make it innocent.

And he set the boy down on the ground and got himself up. "Come on, let's finish work." To redirect his focus...and get back to Malik...

Malik was reading over the usual reports and making the needed adjustments and directions, settling down in a downstairs desk covered with all sorts of necromantic and otherwise reports and artifacts and specimens. not to mention a few basic teaching schedules and cirriculums to go over as well, concerning the potential of both children.

"Yup and I learned not to be scared of him anymore just cause he wasn't passive like you. But I can be passive too." He nodded happily before Daddy got the look, the one that was questioning whether or not he was being told the truth. Big bullies? Well okay, "Mr. Malik said they were evil. Really, really evil." He shook his head slightly and crossed his arms. "Keely has to be the wench, she knows that. We just tell her and she stops whining real quick. How come you didn't just tell them?"

But apparently the conversation was over. Daddy was standing up and gathering things, and sure enough he mentioned work. "But Daddy..." Tugging on his tunic as he stood up and shaking his head. "How come Llothia's not on the map? Can we go there someday? I wanna see where you and Zara come from. The women won't be mean to us will they?"

"Because adults don't always do what they're told." Shaking his head lightly at the boy before taking him by the hand and starting into Laudi's little roosting area. "Because it is not in this place any longer, it disappeared before you were born." Sure it wasn't a place but it was a Goddess...but he did't care to complicate the matter for the boy.

"And nothing good came from it. That's enough questions for now, we have work to do." Thus going about his normal routine of checking what needed to be checked. Though when it came to getting back, it well into afternoon by now, he used translocation, setting his son whom he had picked up, down. "Why don't you go find Malikhai and tell him what you did today?" He had to see Malik...but not with his son nearby.

She was getting antsy. She'd been waiting and waiting and waiting ever since Daddy Kieran told her she could come down here. Her little bag had been all packed and she'd been ready to go the moment he told her Piper had said yes. "Are we there yet?"

"Oh.." Well he couldn't go see the place now could he? But maybe Zara would tell him more. Daddy didn't sound too happy about answering his questions. But his attention drifted as it often did and he remembered his father's orders to stick close to his side as they went in and checked on Laudi. Of course reentering Malik's house, Zykariel wandered into the dining room where he'd last left his friend and Rawr. "Malikhai? I'm all done working."

Isleandra gave a chuckle, petting the silvery white hair of the little elf that was seated in front of her on the Zephyr. "I'm sure Serino is going fast as he can." Though a moment later, that question was answered as surroundings faded into sight around then in normal planar transfer fashion. "See? I told you."

Malikhai was still where he was before. When he did indulge in such activities, he usually was at it for quite a while. Of course he also had been getting fidgety for the last fifteen minutes, his stomach telling him it was near lunch time and what not. But he as always sat there in his mother's lap, tending to his studies without complaint. But of course a look up at his friend. "Did you really get to work or did you just get to tag along?" Hey he knew the difference.

Of course it didn't take Sevilin long to take purposeful strides from where he stood as he waited for his son to disappear. Didn't take him long to find Malik either. And of course upon finding Malik...those runes he loved so dear were put to use, the air shifting in that particular way that signified it's usage...and Malik was promptly runically pulled from his work and put up against the nearest wall in none to gentle a fashion. "You b*****d."

Malik got put on the wall, and the air shifted again, not that Malik liked to do it...it hurt later..but he was released from Sevilin's runes.

"And what did I do this time, before we start with the runing and violence just yet?"

Aella shrugged, looking non-plussed. "That's not your problem, or your concern." She didn't mean for it to come out as harsh as it did" She brought her staff over her shoulder. "I've had enough. I need some sleep." She waved. "I'm running on stimulants, Meilikki's elixcers, infusions, and caffeen." Another wave, and she headed off to her room.

Bode shoook her head, clutching at his fur. "Nuh-huh. That was Evil Onyx. He wasn't Gardian Onyx." She took her ring from underneath her shirt. "You can have my cold iron ring, to keep the goo away." She smiled a bit.

She let go of Onyx and clung to her father when she showed up, accepting the hot soup Onyx gave her and slurped it. She nodded as her father spoke. "You'll hurt someone you love."

Onyx looked at the ring, and gave it back.

"you need that more than me..it won't keep this at bay...I don't have one spot it comes off of."

A bit of a frown.

"I'd need a cold iron outfit for it to work on me I think."

Though a nod at Simon, and a small pet to Bode.

"The Oracle is open for visitors, but there's an inn by Moonstone's place if I remmeber right. prolly be easier to get into there right now."

Simon looked at his daughter, and rubbed her back lightly.

"I think Onyx is right..he doesn't have a hole like you do. we'll just have to teach him better self control, won't we?"

A smile to his daughter and a more serious look to Onyx.

"alright. we'll head there, and perhaps talk with your twin about this as well. You tread on dangerous ground doing what you did tonight. you were a hair's breath from attempting to summon a very nasty thing that I'm pretty sure you'd had no control over."

Mik and Zell looked Aella quizzikly as she walked away.

"Did... did she just say she was on a high?" Asked Mik with wide eyes.

"Yeah... yeah i think so." Zell said a little shocked.

They both starred at Aella's point of exit.

Unlike usual, Sevilin wasn't in a passive frame of mind, nor was he completely smart about this all. Violent was not a look Sevilin often wore, but there were exceptions. This was one. Meaning even as Malik dismissed his runes, Sevilin advanced upon him, this time physically pushing him back into the wall, a hand at his throat. "You have no right to tell my son about things he shouldn't know. You can tell your own son all you want and pollute his head with Llothian garbage, but you cross the lines when you try to do it to my own."

Oh yes, a new look for Sevilin indeed, that streak of a killer easily seen in body language and his eyes as he practically glared a hole through Malik. Pissed? Quite. And he did have every right to be now didn't he? Of course. Did he think he was overreacting? No...Malik would of acted the same way if roles were reversed and his son was the one who was being influenced.

Malik grabbed the wrist that held him, and squeezed it hard, twisting and gripping clamp like on pressure points.

"Oh now I get it. this is the 'I want my son to find every other person but me terrifying for the rest of his life rather than tell him the differences in how I and someone else was raised.'"

And he forced Sevilin back, one hand resting on Malvolence.

"I told him only want was needed to make it clear in our differences. and I used as vague terms as I could. If it wasn't for you still being chained by the society that you were formerly a part of, it wouldn't be required."

"the simple raising of my voice made your son cower as if I was about to eat him. He didn't feel comfortable even being around me without Piper hovering over my shoulder. And I am not going to hide from my son or walk on eggshells to accomdate you not wanting to tell your son why you and I are different."

Malik straightened out his shirt.

"While I understand why you are upset, it was something that needed to be done. He knows that you are not part of that world anymore, and that Zahara never was. And I will not be a criminal and a monster to my son's best friend because you don't want to acknowledge that you and I were molded by different societies to your son."

Arthur sighed lightly to himself, its been awhile since Sevilin had left and he has been bored ever since, he tried to train himself but it bugged him, he tried to read and found it boring; then it hit him, he should go to the fortress today because he wanted to ask Piper if he could purchase a zephmare for himself instead of always having to lend one. So after cleaning up and changing into a pair of good clean cloths Arthur set off to the fortress.

After walking for a good half an hour or so Arthur had finally arrived at the Twilight with a small sigh, he hoped that maybe he wouldn't find Malik and get forced into training again or anything, he really wasn't up to it. So after talking to a slave in wondering where Piper was and after getting the information he needed he headed towards the dining room hoping to find her. Once he entered the dinning hall he looked around slowly with his single eye until he saw Piper sitting at a table, with a light smile he wandered over and gave a small "Hi." before sitting down in a chair. "Piper I came by to ask you if I could maybe purchase a zephmare from you?" He asked with a small smile.
