Yeah we have a maverik around the corner, but I can't shop there for food. I'm in a really small town so there is not much around. I did get a ride though. Oh, and today was so weird. My bike breaks squeak really bad. And before today I could only use the squeeky ones or I couldn't stop. Well a cute guy from the apartment above me fixed my other breaks. I still squeak on the front ones, but I can stop with my back ones now. So I went and invited him to pizza. He turned me down for homework. I was a little stung, but at the same time I couldn't help but laugh and think that it was cute.

Anyways, those are totally sweet pics gerp. I wish I could go out of the country. Though I hate flying so I don't know how I would do flying so long. I about killed my ex-boyfriend when he said we where flying to idaho. I live in Utah and he flew me to Idaho. That's one state away for heavens sakes.

Lily, Yay for cute guys! And don't take the turn down to hard. You can always try again. mrgreen I'm glad you got a ride too.

And I just got and interview today for my internship! *Starts doing the sprinkler dance!*

xp I hope everyone starts feeling better. I hate being sick. Grey if you are on again, try to smile. It represses the urge to gag and thus puke. So watch a lot of comedy if possible, also drink or eat thick things, like milk, or stew, foods that are a base, not acidic. It coats the stomach and keeps the acid ducts from become even more inflamed and irritated and cuts down on the nausea. You may have flem or a runny nose from the milk but at least your tummy might feel better.

For crystal, try some chamomile tea, steam is good, so hot showers, and cut back on the thick foods and drinks. You want to get rid of and keep away flem it will dry out your throat, and lots of water is good. The thin tissue in the throat is more effective at keeping germs out of the blood stream, and gets less cuts when it is moist.

If either of you gets fevers or it doesn't clear up in a week, go see the doctor. Feel better.

Oh I hope you guys feel better soon. I know I hate being sick as well it sucks. You always have the best advice though Katie. Do you have any advice for sore muscles? I got up at 5 and ran for 4 miles with the ROTC this morning. I have a ropes course in 10 minutes (Sargeant will kill me if I'm late so I'm typing fast) and I have to do it all over again tomorrow in a company run. My only class for tomorrow was cancelled so I litterally have to get up at 5, run, and then hang out and do homework the rest of the day.

Banana's for potassium and/or salt. Your losing both while you sweat and need to replace it. Also Pinch away pain. You can try this acupressure technique. Grab your upper lip between your thumb and index finger, and squeeze for about 30 seconds. You can also use the direct approach, too: Grab the cramping muscle tightly, pushing your fingertips deep into the cramp for about 10 to 15 seconds, then release. You can repeat as often as necessary to relieve the cramp. After the cramp is gone, stretch out the muscle--but begin slowly and without bouncing on it. Put a heating pad or hot towel on it to ease the muscle tension. Also Drinking a cup of water (about eight ounces) every 20 minutes before, during and after exercise will help keep your system from dehydrating. And when you prevent dehydration, you prevent cramping.

Alright thanks Katie. I joined ROTC and I had to drop ranks this morning because I couldn't run anymore. I thought I was going to pass out. I was in so much pain when I dropped ranks that I was crying and I was glad it was dark and I was sweating so hard because that way sargeant Glad didn't realize I was crying. I ran for awhile after I started crying and it did get easier, but then I got in so much pain I was crying again and felt like I would pass out so I knew I had to drop ranks even though we are not supposed to. I've been trying to stretch it out today slowly but I forgot my heating pad at home so I've been just having to suffer it out.

Hahahaha thanks Katie. The stiffness has lessened a bit. I woke up this morning and could move until I went running for a bit. It is physically draining, but at the same time it's a lot of fun. I actually joined the class because I want to join the armed forces and I thought the class would be a good experimental piece. I'll tell you one thing though. When you're so sore you can't move your legs, you probably shouldn't play guitar hero. Expecially if it's your first time.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 31, 2008 7:19 am

True with the guitar hero. I play mine sitting down, but I know a lot of people set it up for standing. Glad to here it was a little better. I know weird stuff because my dad was a nurse and he refuses to take anyone to a hospital, unless your dieing. I get a lot of home remedies. I remember I sprained my right ring finger in basketball because the girl I was playing against was really over competitive and my father took two Popsicles, had me eat them, straighten my finger and taped my finger still with these sticks. Everyone wonder what the hell it was for. I told them, "Your parents over react, and rush you to the ER, mine wait till I'm dieing to take me."

That's really funny. I try to stay out of the ER as long as I can, but half the time I don't know what's wrong so I just let it go until it starts getting worse. That's why I wound up having to sit out half my gym class last year. I threw out my back in a Pioneer trek and didn't know what was going on. When I went to the doctors they did x-rays but couldn't find anything so put me on muscle relaxers. After that I just did my best to deal with the pain until I threw it out in Tennis and I was crying in pain from just laying down. Now I'm dealing with Sclorosis in such a form that if I fall I'm in pain for days. That's another reason for the pain I've been in the past few days. I was in the lab doing a robes coarse in shoes with absolutely no traction. My feet started sliding and I was doing the splits for awhilee until I fell in the dirt right in front of my squad leader. Later in my dorm one of the guys that was staying with us was trying to find out whose bras were in the dryer so he could dry his clothes and that led to a conversation where in which he wore a size A 34. I was laughing so hard I fell off my bed, and that same day I was playing basket ball and they bounced the ball off my back. So between the 3.86 mile run that morning, followed by falling twice, and then getting hit in the back with a basketball all in one day, I was in immence pain.

eek Ouch. That sucks! I have never had back problems to bad. I've never really been sick or gotten hurt too badly, and I've been thrown off the front of four wheelers, attack by farm animals, fallen off raised porches, collect old wasp nests, walked ankled deep in mud and knee high water filled with who knew what, and played in thorny patches of forested farm land. xp But of late I have gotten rather sedimentary. I need to get out more, but I don't get to go the family farms much anymore and I don't like walking in the city. To many people, bad smells, rude comments, and unfriendly people. I also miss farm fruit, and veggies, and fresh beef, pork, chicken, veal, turkey, and fish. If you ever date a farm kid, don't ask for the animal's name, beside the cat and dog. Blah I went away off topic, sorry. But I think if you keep a list of problems and your problems happen frequently like five out of seven days, go into a clinic.

Oh I know what this is and it's just because of when i fell in the dirt at my squad leaders feet, fell off my bed, got hit with the ball, and add the running on top of it it's going to act up. I'm used to it because I got hurt over a year ago and it was just recently that the stupid doctors found out what was wrong. I was in physical therapy for awhile and now it just hurts when I fall or hit it. Same with my hip and I'm just glad that I haven't hurt that at the same time because with everything that happened thursday i could be in a lot more pain. Oh well, thanks for the advice katie. I'm just glad I'm not relying on muscled relaxers like I was for a year when the doctors didn't know what was going on.
