Roarke sighed and leaned on the spear. It would never cease to amaze him, where the eyes of a small child could change the events of the world. Or at least, his pansy mind liked to think so.
"Showers are good things. Very cleansing. And afterwards....maybe you'd want to go have a chat with that little girl." He signled to his students, and he walked off.
Bode looked to Onyx, gulped when he stared right at her. Then she looked to the woman who had presented herself. To Onyx, to the woman....she pulled back from the both of them. Shaking her head, she ran off between the buildings, disapearing into the shadows.

Ori sighed. " That child is very confused and hurt right now. Do you know her Onyx?" She walked back and stood beside Adso. Jude made a nopise deep in his throat. the all bowed their heads as one to onyx, and disapeared.

"Sometimes when you suck too hard it comes out your nose." Yes he and his friend had learned that the hard way...or rather the fun and kinda gross way. They thought it had been funny, mommy hadn't been too enthused with the antic and well daddy just hadn't said anything about it. "That can't happen right?" He didn't think he's like to be more or less sneezing magic.
Though okay, back to trying. Okay think straw, pull up the warm feeling as far as he could get it to go, okay. Now just push it out right. Yup, push it out to his hands. And of course tried to remember his patience as his father urged, no need to be upset. But he really really wanted to do it...after all, Zykariel could do it...and he wasn't much younger than him.
And it took a good couple of minutes of hard concentration on his part, but that warm feeling eventually moved up to his hands, and then that slight glow of magic was evident...not concntrated at a fingertip of course but it was at least showing on his hands. He gave a squeal of delight. "Look daddy!" And then it went away. "Nooo!" Back to trying to get it back.
She tilted her head. He sure liked that didn't he? Though unlike her son who enjoyed it for the security, Zykariel enjoyed it for the noise it made. "Me too. Maybe we can get you something that makes that noise, hm?" What child didn't like a present, right? Right. "If you think he's lonely now, just think about how lonely he was before you." Sure, he couldn't grasp that concept but that was the goal in this case, seeing as it was a 'wow' concept. "Daddies like to do that. So then wanna go back down?"
He blinked and raised an eyebrow. Had her and Arthur really been sleeping together that long? Last time he checked they had only been really steadily sleeping together for the past year, maybe year and a half, but three? "Easy, she's been spending those times with me." A casual srug at that. "Let's just say that I'm used to an instinctual phase, I know how to handle it, and am conditioned for it. You're just...not. It's not a thing you surface elves do so why would she do it to you, knowing you wouldn't be able to supply her demand?"

He moved his hand under her collar again and then grinned at her. "Really? Like the treasure chest Khai got from the scary place all teh teachers live." Ooh that was exciting and he jiggled a bit in her lap in his excitement. A moment passed, he seriously thought about it and then the lightbulb clicked on. "Poor Daddy. All he had was Zara to tell him to eat. How did he do it?" A solemn shake of his head. A giggle to accompany that. Yes, the child understood sarcasm, in its most basic forms.
"No, not yet. I want to snuggle for a little bit. Khai has you all the time and since you are my Zara, I want to have you for a little bit while I'm not sad. Is that okay?"

"Mmhmm, see not all things that come from down there are scary. You just have to look past the scary to see the good stuff." Patting his back lightly. "More or less, yes poor Sevilin." Oh they were so cute when they were making jokes and what not weren't they? Very much so. Though she smiled fondly at him at his little request, ruffling his hair again. "Yes, that's okay Zykariel, if you want to be with me for a little bit then that's okay." See this was why she didn't coddle one boy in front of the other. Besides, Malik and Malikkhai could use some bondng time together.

Arthur blinked a couple of times at Sevilin's answer, she was sleeping with him? During the past three years he thought it was just the two of them since she and Sevilin had their own child but right now he was proven wrong and boy was it a major shocker. If they were sleeping together because of the whole instinct thing she goes through then why shouldn't they do it afterwards? Well that raised some questions and also brought back memories of Zahara saying she would not be coming and never telling him why and other things. Gods this was a real shock for Arthur, but he had to keep calm around Sevilin he could not get angry at the man or he would make the man look at him with more disrespect with what he had on him already. After hearing the news the young elf turned his head slowly away and rested it against the couch, was there a reason for the two of them sleeping together? Was she using him? Too many questions were bugging him but he needed to keep his cool, he just had too. "Well that I also didn't know..." That was hard to say but it was better than shouting that the drow. With a deep breath Arthur slowly turned back to the man sitting in front of him, watching him in silence for a little while. "Well when you put it like that....I can see your point..." Though he couldn't get the new mental image of them being in bed together, but he needed to press on and find out more. "Is there like a certain time of the year when this happens? Just incase I might get caught in it again?"

He tilted his head in question. "Really? Hm, thought you did." Honestly, Arthur didn't know? Sevilin knew about Arthur, he thought that it was the same. Well you learn something knew every day, not that Sevilin looked to concerned about the lack of information on Arthur's part. Yes this was just a horribly casual conversation for him wasn't it? "Not really, it just happens at least once a year and more or less just comes when it wants to. Lasts a few weeks, maybe two or three and then goes on it's merry way until the next time. Just a simple fact of nature really. So either stay away from her for a while, or endure." Casually then waiting to see if he had another question.

"No I didn't Sevilin..." A hint of anger was in his voice when he said those words. Well it seemed that Zahara was so open to Sevilin about everything she did with him but when it came to their relationship Arthur never even had a clue about it. Sighing lightly Arthur placed his head against his hands as his mind kept on trying to register the whole fact of the two of them still sleeping together, gods why didn't she tell him before? He maybe would have been able to accepted it more easily if she decided to tell him in the beginning so why did she keep it from him? "I see well every bit of information helps..." Now it was time he started to dig a little deeper, just to see what Sevilin kept underneath his skin. "So you said that you are more conditioned for it so you have been doing this for a long time right? Just how long would it take for someone to get use to it?" If Sevilin didn't want to answer it then fine Arthur just had enough time speaking to him anyway.

A raise of an eyebrow at that slight tone to his voice. Someone was not a happy surface elf. Then again it didn't surprise Sevilin in the least. Arthur didn't know and now he was being a surface elf about it. Fair enough. "Information is the grand unifier." He only hoped that Arthur kept his little surface tendencies to himself for right now...after all, this wasn't really Sevilin's issue, it was between Zahara and Arthur.
Though he did seem to get a little defensive when Arthur mentioned that he had mentioned earlier that Sevilin was more apt to handle the situation. He'd say it himself in a certain context, but someone saying it back out of the context he initially meant it got him that way. "Years." It was the simple and the truthful answer....took Sevilin himself quite a number of years...though probably not as long as some, seeing a she was regularly passed around to women on thier instincts.

Arthur watched Sevilin carefully, the raise of his eyebrow the way he moved sometimes, the surface elf always watched him to see how he reached to whatever he say or did just incase he may say something wrong or get something out of the drow. Though when he asked Sevilin the question of when he asked the drow of the times he use to do it all he got was a slightly defensive drow and one simple answer, but Arthur knew that he shouldn't push it or things could go wrong between the two of them so all he said was. "Alright then." Then slowly stood up from his chair. "Well Sevilin I thank you for coming over, you have cleared up a lot of things for me and for that I'm grateful." Arthur waited until the drow was standing up and then proceeded to lead the man towards the door. After opening it Arthur lead Sevilin outside and paused for a moment before turning to the older man. "Thanks again for coming over, I wont be at the fortress until maybe later today, and thank you for healing me too." Hey it was polite to give thanks where it was needed and Sevilin helped Arthur out, in more ways than the drow realized.

"There's not a whole lot of good stuff down there Miss Piper. Most of it is scary." But he understood what she was saying and grinned, "It's better when someone goes with you. Then the scary stuff stays in its own little rooms and wont' bother you." He reached up and fixed his hair again, shoving his braid over his shoulder from where it had been upset. He may not have Zara but at least he had Miss Piper the way he wanted. "Can I read you a story? Khai and I found one I think you'll like Miss Piper."
Slipping down off her lap without waiting for her response, he skipped over to the bookshelf and pulled out a book on pirates. Of course. Then crawling back up he opened it and began to tell her the story. "See this pirate found this wench and it made him very happy. So he locked her in his cabin to drink rum and play cards but the evil captain decided she was too pretty for the good captain. He wanted her all to himself. Which is very selfish and not very nice since we need to share but evil captains don't follow the rules. And so..." Pointing to various pictures and explaining things while he 'read.'
Zahara was curled up, nice and toasty on the couch in the library reading. She rarely took time to do this anymore seeing as how she'd become so busy with the business and babysitting Zykariel and even taking care of Sevilin. Her anger, self-loathing and irritation had been worked out by kneading bread, punching it really, at least in the beginning. But she was feeling much better about it now, making the decision that she wouldn't be sleeping with Arthur while she was on her instincts ever again. He couldn't handle it, he wasn't trained to handle it and she wasn't going to put another bruise on his body if she could help it. Hopefully the talk between Sevilin and Arthur was going well...

He merely nodded. Well this wasn't as painful as he had planned it on being. Good show. But he got up letting Arthur accompanying him back to the door, giving that look that said he had his attention as he spoke. "Just remember, I didn't help you. Merely informed you." Because well, Sevilin didn't help. Or at least he said he didn't help. Help was a four letter word for him after all.
But another nod. "I'll pass it along. But do return the favor and don't leave Zahara in her puty party of guilt over having...hurt...you. You're a surface elf after all, you can't help that you're ungodly pale." Giving a grin, chuckle and a shrug before a sigh and another nod. "Till next we meet then." Waiting for Nym to take his place back on his shoulder before grabbing his pole are and putting it where it belonged across his back, then turning on his boot heel and heading off for Twilight.
"But you're brave, right?" Those two little boys capitalized on being brave really. It was horribly cute. But Piper only gave him a little nod to his question and watched him scamper off, settling back in her chair as he climbed back into her lap and began to read her the story...or at least what he thought the story was. It was more or less a lot more complex than he making it. However, Piper enjoyed the breaking from the words and how he made up his own story. Made for something better.

Arthur sighed a little bit as he stood there with Sevilin at his doorstep, both of them giving their farewells and what not in respect of each other. "I will forgive her for what she did Sevilin, I never knew why she did all of that to me but since you came by for this little chat it has opened my eye a little." Though he sort gave Sevilin a little glare at his comment on him being a surface elf and whatnot. "You always got to point that out huh?" The younger elf shook his head as a small amused grin was on his face then watched in silence as Sevilin gave his final farewell and with Nym now rested on his shoulder the drow left for Twilight.
Well since Sevilin now left Arthur just walked right back inside and shut the door. Once it closed behind him the young elf could feel his knees buckle and suddenly he fell back against the wooden door before sliding down and hitting the ground with his butt. "Gods damn me for being a fool..." He whispered to himself and sighed as he rested his head in his hands. Now how could he face Zahara without yelling at her for keeping the secret of her and Sevilin sleeping together and yet she turns right around and tells the drow everything about them? "She'll probably say it's a drow thing..." He muttered and sighed, then in an angry yell he quickly extended his hand outwards and a bolt of lighting shot from his hands and instantly exploded the chair it struck. With a small groan Arthur placed his head back in his hands, he felt sick, upset, angry and humiliated all at once; so he wouldn't go talk to Zahara, let her be wrapped up in her guilt because she deserves it, for now.

Malik chuckled lightly.
"It's alright. it doesn't go away, just goes back down. Try it again, the more you try, the better you'll get at it. Zykariel's magic is stronger in some ways than yours. mostly in the ability to draw it out. but he can't control it. You have to work a little harder to get it to come out, but you'll have control Zykariel will have to work harder to get."
Okay..connection.
"When you suck your magic up through your straw, you have a good chance of it being good. When Zykariel does it, he has a higher chance of it coming through his nose right now."
there, that worked, and made for a humorous image. bonus points on that one.
Onyx stood there for awhile, and then started at a lion's gait. it ate up distance fast and didn't put a big toll on the runner. he followed the scent, easy to distinguish and nto very faint for him, to find Bode. she needed an explaination. not to mention he needed to get those apples for Aella.

Zykariel continued on the story telling about how the good captain fought valiantly and won the wench back and the evil captain was forced to dig up the treasure but he couldn't have any of it for himself. And then the evil captain was forced to surrender and be on the good captain's crew until they decided to be friends. "And they all lived happily ever after. Wasn't that a good story, Miss Piper?"
