You used a technique that is made to cancel someone's ability, against a technique that is used to cancel someone's ability.
And since my technique is defensive, it would negate yours, which negates mine, which negates your's. Hence the loop.
And since both our techniques drain at the cost of the opposing technique, it creates an infinite ever heightening loop that will drain us both of chakra, soul chakra, and essentially life.

Well not really. Breaking Sound isn't chakra based and therefore your defense which breaks down Ninjutsu and Chakra doesn't break it down as it is merely intense noise. And technically if the drain was the case you'd win as I just blew about 7k to kill the clone and had 42,300 to star with, but I'd totally weaken you a bit (35k) if that was the case. XD Sano doesn't need chakra to launch your flag into orbit anyways... Oblivion Lance has no cost ;D

And if that's the way you want to see it, that's how my reply post will go for you.
Though I'm trying to understand where you were standing. Because you say you felt the effects of the Barrier from the land before crossing the water? When the barrier is around the island, not the water itself.
That's really my only complaint. Otherwise, you killed yourself then, by your logic.
Ares has used... Less then 2k I believe? I'd have to go back and look through my posts. rofl

Reaver: Well the land thing, You never posted how big of a sphere you actually made so I improvised... I like how I got across though XD that was rather unorthodox. Better than using the River of Ice jutsu and then walking at least =w=

Yeah I did in my last post before Alice and Pillo left. xd
Covered the island in my barrier, Alice took care of inside the base, and Pillo took care of the water. IE: My barrier only covered the outside of the base, for the circumference of the island.

I even had to save Alice, who hadn't read about the sound barriers until it was too late.
Besides, the way Bone posted them, I assumed they were inside the doorways.

I don't have anything that's a drain effect. The defense is immediate...
