"He's probably just good at anger control. Maybe he was raised to be nice no matter how mean someone's being? I'm not sure, but maybe you should try to be nicer to him if he's putting the effort forth to be nice to you." She continued to play with her hair and even started to wrap strands around her finger.

Mari leaned back and thought about it for a bit. "To be honest, when we met neither one of us were really nice to each other. All we did was fight and argue and yell. We're both stubborn people."

She shrugged and smiled. "I don't know. I mean, we were friends even though we fought. I don't even know when I started to shift from hating him to liking him. It just gradually happened."
