(Hahaha. Thank God Luke doesn't know that.)
*Luke doesn't need much reminding. He is led through the doorway. He returns her advances, easily matching her energy.*
*In the midst of making out, a small voice inside him speaks up.*
*What the ******** are you doing? What are you -doing-?*
*As if to silence it, Luke kissed her even more forcefully. When they reached her bedroom, he grabbed her under the thighs, pulled her up towards him, and carried her inside.*
**Exit Luke & Kara to Guest Rooms**

:::Cora remained motionless still and couldn't find a reason to do anything else for quite some time. Her thoughts were quiet, it was some sort of a quiet before a storm in her own head. Like if she could just let everything stay quiet, she wouldn't have to think about anything, but that only worked for so long:::
:::She found herself thinking that it wouldn't be so bad to fade out right then...:::
:::All Cora could do to keep herself from tearing up was walking to the bar and focusing on what wine she wanted. After finding it, she picked up two of the same bottle, and walked...hesitantly...towards the guest halls, to her own room:::
*Exit Cora*

*Luke appears at the bar, leaning over it, reading a book. He's intently reading, Angular Momentum: Understanding Spatial Aspects in Chemistry and Physics. It's about the size of a telephone book.*
*He looks up and jumps a little.*
*He growls and shakes his head. He hate it when this place does that to him. But his entrance is appropriate. He puts down the heavy book. He wipes the grit from his eyes and turns around to get a drink.*

Luana appeared at a table, one arm on the table, next o which had been a book in her own time, the other supporting her head as she gazed out the window. Her hair hung straight down, but a pencil tucked behind her ear could be seen poking through. Instead of one of her more usual cheery colors, she wore a black turtleneck, strangely devoid of chalk dust.
She suddenly snaped back into focus when she realized the peaceful view from the window had been replaced by the Brink.
She saw Luke, but her attempted smile turned out to be a bit sad. "Hey, Luke."

*Luke turns around. His face softened a little when he sees her.*
Hey, sweetheart.
*She still looks pretty wrecked. Not that Luke hadn't expected her to, but...*
*He goes behind the bar. He pulls out a bottle of apple juice.*
What'll it be? Your want your usual?

"Yeah, that'd be great. Thanks."
She left the table so she could meet him at the bar. "How are you doing?"

*pauses. Now that she walked up, he saw how much better she looked than the last time he saw her.* ...How bout you? How you doin?

"I'm alright, I guess." She took a drink of her juice. "The past few days have been kind of odd, but at least I can string together a coherent sentence again. That's progress, right?"

You look like you got some sleep. And you look like you ate some food. Not a bad place to start.

"Yeah." She tried that smile again. "I couldn't eat the day of the funeral though. Just couldn't for some reason. And I still haven't been able to talk to my father about what I found in the wreckage yet.
"So, what's new?"

*Okay. She wants to change the subject. She looked okay physically. Looks like she took his advice. Alright. You know, if that's what she wanted.*
Nothing around here. *adds* Which is nice.
*gets himself a beer and goes back over to her* Melliandra told me she'd let me in on the secrets of the Brink, if I punched her in the face.

Luana almost spat out her drink before she set the glass down and examined Luke's face. No, he did not appear to be joking.
"Did you take her up on the offer?"
