Hmm, any one free technique... Is it single use, or will it keep going? I have a few ideas that could work VERY well, mwahaha! Some depending on just what zone Shiori's team gets, and also depending on a limiter I'm pretty sure will be in place. Otherwise...

Team 3 is supposed to gain an advantage, 'cause they're (Most definitely) going to be a 2 person team.
So At the end of the last exam, I promised them an advantage, and then I wrote "Team Four" when I was typing out the info the proctor would say.
Which when I re-read. Did mention about the defensive jutsu... So I think Hedoro didn't read it, or skimmed it. >.>;;

Preferably defensive. Like a shield, or a "summon jutsu" style thing.
It lasts until broken or defeated by the opponent. WIth no drain or cost on you.
IE: a shield that can be used to block one of the door ways.
There's really no restrictions, but if what you're planning is absolutely ridiculous, I may put my foot down. xd

Oh I read it, I just wasn't sure the limit of 'until broken'. I.e. if I were to choose a shadow clone, and someone hit it hard enough to disbar it, that's it until the end of the exam. That part I got. But what about a technique that doesn't have such a finite limit? Like Jutsu Shou? It's technically a single use, but since it can't really be broken, would that make the base a 'no jutsu at all for invaders' sort of field? Or in your example, a paper lion. Since Shiori can control her papers enough to rebuild it if it were to get destroyed, could she just keep reforming it for free as long as the exam lasted?

There's no understandable way for Jutsu Shou to work. But you can make a clone, it will function like whatever clone in question, and when defeated it will poof.
If you want to make it again, it costs your chakra.
Same with the paper things, it costs chakra after you get the one free jutsu, which needs to be used on your first post in the base.

Dylan | So I'm guessing that your covering the defense cost only covers the initial cost and not any cost thereafter for maintaining the technique or what have you. -is prepared for that to be the case-

Kelli:: Depends on how serious the technique.
For example, if I used Ares' main defensive technique. And created a wall of Annihilation chakra. The cost of the technique would be free. But if someone shot a jutsu into it, I would pay to stop the cost of the jutsu.
More likely then not, depending on the technique strength. I'll allow for no cost at all. but if it's something that cant be easily done with I'll give you a new cost to deal with, or allow you to come up with another idea.
