Zykariel watched to make sure Malik was taking care of his friend though he stepped back a bit. Why did Mr. Malik always look so mean? His daddy never looked that mean unless he was really upset. His daddy would have scooped him up in a big hug and rocked him a but Mr. Malik wasn't doing that. He barely understood the difference between their parents though he knew there was one.
Malikhai's mother was a lot more affectionate with him and she never made him wait or turned him down. Sometimes Zara was too busy and he would have to go find somebody else, usually daddy or Miss Piper. Miss Piper had never made him wait before. Whenever he was sad or upset and Khai wasn't in her lap, she always held him as long as he needed it. It made him want to make Miss Piper better now that she was unhappy. He glanced at Malikhai and Malik one more time and suddenly missed his own father really badly but he just sat down and patted at the dragons to pass the time. Malikhai needed comfort right now and Zykariel wasn't going to steal him away from it.
She nodded, "A happy drow is a quiet one. At least in my case." A few moments of silence passed before she too turned on her side and let her body naturally conform to his, resting her head lightly on her arm. It wasn't an awkward silence like they had run out of things to say. She could talk to Sevilin about absolutely nothing. He didn't always talk back but he listened and absorbed and somtimes he'd even ask questions. The silence flowed between them filled with unspoken things and finally she turned to look at him. "I'm really glad you took the night off Sevilin. I know how hard it is for you to be away from Zykariel, but I wanted you to know that...I appreciate it."

Both dragons took a moment to untangle themselves before they relocated again, both sitting near Zykariel and allowing him to pet at them without fuss, far too used to little hands by now. Besides, if they played nice nice with the kids, then they got treats. Who didn't love treats.
"I suppose." A look to her again as she did that thing where she leaned all over him again. Not that he minded, it was just something that he still wasn't used to. Then a raised eyebrow at her on he little statement. "Well, I can't be around him all the time, he's gotta have his own space. I certinally don't want to smother him anymore than I do now...and it's nice being an adult every once and a while." Though yes he was a little lost on why she was so appreciative, but he could throw a guess or two and probably be right.
Of course once she had tripped him off, and probably Malik as well to an extent, she had gotten the same feeling as thier son. The usual one she got when Malik himself was irritated, that scratchy feeling that was uncomfortable. Great, now she was impressioning on the child. Okay then, let's just take a few breaths and try to at least control that aspect so it didn't get leaked through. Still murdering inanimate objects with arrows though.

Warren shrugged. "I visit many many poeple. You are on the list, that is all. For all I know, you'll never see my face again." He smiled, tucking his arms in the opposite sleeves. "But my presence has no ill will or boding behind it. Rest assured."
Aella tried her best to calm down a bit and enjoy the play, but all she did was get angry at the characters themselves. "Stupid girl Romeo. Grow a pair." And to juiliet. "Gees woman, settle down." And other such comments to other characters on the stage.

That got a look from Malik.
"I doubt that, Warren. I imagine you and I will be seeing a great deal of eachother in the future. For one reason or another."
then back to his son.
"Feeling any better?"
Onyx got a bit annoyed, then somewhat frustrated, then his lip started to curl lightly. Her comments, and knowing they were being made becuase she was upset with him and not enjoying herself...So he got up, and scooped her up, and jumped on the back of the chair and then to the roof and then up into the outer air, and setting her down on the roof.
"If you don't want to stay, just say so. We can go back home. You don't have to simply stay and pretend to enjoy being out with me to a play you don't like becuase I spent a few coins on tickets."

He took a moment to process that question as it was asked of him, going still and quiet a moment to perhaps listen or feel for that uncomfortable feeling. Oh well look at that it had worked some, it didn't feel so gritty or anything anymore. A look back to his father and he gave a little Piper-esk smile to his father and a nod. "Uh huh, it does. You were right." Because yes apparently thinking about the better feelings made the bad ones go away.
And then a hug for daddy. "Thank you for playing with us earlier." Because it was always a special thing when daddy played with them, he always knew how to make the games fun. And he practically let them get away with murder on occassion.

Zykariel focused his attention on the coq dragons, idly petting at them and whatnot while Malikhai was made to feel better by his father. He considered slipping out of the room and going up to the nursery but what if Malikhai wanted to talk to him when he didn't feel sad anymore? Then he wouldn't know where Zykariel was and that might make him even more sad. Why was everyone so sad anyway?
He slowly got up and left the sitting room, wandering around for a minute. He could go and bug Keely for another cookie, perhaps. Or he could go find Ashlyn. Instead he walked up to the nursery and picked up Rawr, hugging him tightly. "I miss Daddy, Rawr. D'you think one of the grown ups would let me talk to him?" Rawr didn't think so but Zykariel was willing to try. Then the link crystal on the table caught his eye. He toddled over to it and picked it up, studying it. He'd seen his parents use them before and knew how they worked. Magic. And he had magic...he just didn't know how to bring it out without getting upset. "Make me mad Rawr."
He squeezed his eyes shut really tightly and focused really hard, pretending that someone had hurt Malikhai. It wasn't hard since he was already slightly upset about it and sure enough, glass broke and the link crystal lit up. "Daddy? Daddy?! It's me Zykariel!" he called into it, holding it right up to his mouth. Because maybe Daddy would hear him better if he yelled?
She had nothing really to say to that so she fell back into comfortable silence once again, her eyes half closed as reverie began to take a hold of her mind. then she heard the telltale sound of a link crystal going off and sighed. "Arthur..." Opening one eye adn looking at him. "That's you going off."

That little tinkling almost windchime like sound from the crystal resonating with another made his ears twitch and Zahara confirmed the sound. Though apparently it was his. Sitting up, he leaned over the edge of the bed and picked up his pants, rummaging through the pockets a moment till he pulled out the crystal just as Zykariel's little voice came blaring through upon the crystal being touched. He cringed lightly.
"No need to yell Zykariel. Is something the matter?" That slightly worried tone lacing his voice now because hey, he sounded like he was upset or something and Sevilin didn't like that thought at all.

"No...well kinda..." He sat down and hugged Rawr in his lap. "We were playing and having fun and Mr. Malik turned the whole place into a pirate ship and an island. And Miss Piper even played a really good oracle and Khai and I beat Mr. Malik and got the treasure and we had cookies and stuff. And I was having a lot of fun." He paused a second to think about how he wanted to explain what had happened next.
"And then these strange people came and the girl, Daddy she became a wolf. I dunno how she did it, but she did. And I wanna learn how to do it too. But she doesn't know how to teach us so I guess I can't learn that and then Mr. Malik got all mean and stuffs and...and Miss Piper got upset...and now she's gone somewhere and Khai's not happy and I can't make it better." Then Rawr got thrown across the room as he burst into tears. "And Rawr won't talk to me!"
Zahara sat up the moment his upset little voice popped through and she raised an eyebrow at the litany of things that had upset the boy. "Rawr won't talk to him? Whyever not?" Sounded like Zykariel was having quite a time of it.

Malik got himself up an dput his son down, and then walked him up to the nursery where hey, there was another child crying. of course that was after giving Warren the 'make yourself at home' gesture.
Took him abuot two seconds to recognize the link stone. Great. that's all he needed was Sevilin up his a** about lord knows what they boy might have misinterpreted.
"Zykariel, Malikhai is better and wants to play. and the Coq dragons too."
Hey they followed for treats, and Malik obliged.
"Let me talk to Sevilin."

Sevilin sighed as he listened to the child list the travesties against him and then he started with the tears. Tears were never good with that child, seeing as being upset meant that his magic could spike and bad things could happen. "Alright, don't cry...I'll be there in a moment." Might as well bring the boy home. Looking to Zahara. "Hold this for me for a moment." Just so nohting deactivated, and he handed off the crystal.
Getting out of bed, the pants he had in his hand got pulled on and he went about gathering the rest of his clothes off the floor and putting them on. He knew that boy wasn't going to last the night there...he had just had a feeling. A look over his shoulder to Zahara that said 'sorry' before he went about pulling his boots on.
Though his attention came back to the stone that Zahara held onto as Maliks' voice filtered through at well. Oh great, just what he needed...Malik pitching a fit at him about something that really couldn't be avoided too much. Reaching back to Zahara he took hold of the crystal again. "Yes Malik?"

Zykariel sniffled lightly and nodded. " 'Kay." Then all of a sudden Malik appeared and proclaimed that Malikhai was feeling better. He looked at the crystal in his palm and then up to Malik and then back to the crystal. "Why?" But he did hold out his little hand with the crystal inside, handing it off to Malik.
Zahara took the crystal and watched him getting ready before shaking her head. "You're not going to go get him Sevilin. That's pointless." She was getting ready to reach for his shirt and shove him down on the bed, sit on him if she had to but he wasn't going to go get his son. Zykariel would be upset when Sevilin went all the way down there because he would want to stay and play with Malikhai. "Zykariel?" Fully intending to talk sense into the boy. "Oh, Malik." Thus handing the crystal off.
The little boy stood there, horribly unsure at this moment. Was he in trouble for using the crystal? A glance around. "Where's Khai?" Because if Khai was ready to play then why hadn't he come upstairs too?

"Warren stopped by with Eliot. and you can imagine the aggravation from that. Piper got upset, went downstairs to shoot some aggression off, and some filters to Malikhai and he got a headache. He's all better, and things are fine. no need to come over here."
"There was talk of spiritual territories and the like. it upset piper, and I don't exactly take to well with that cryptic evasive crap that those types give. I got a little..aggressive in my wording. But everything is just fine. you stay there and let me handle the evening."
And he shut that crystal off, and looked down at Zykariel.
"Next time, if you want to talk to them with these, let one of us activate it...that glass was fairly expensive, alright?"
Then getting the stuf toy and wlaking back over with it.
"You know...if I wasn't talking to you and got thrown intoa wall for it, I might not be very happy either."

Yes Malikhai was still sitting downstairs with the dragons, staying put for the moment like he had been told to. Then again he didn't really want to go anywhere too much. He couldn't go downstairs and see mommy and daddy had disappeared for the moment. Let's just poke the dragons here, yeah that sounds good.
His attention turned breifly to Zahara as she protested but his attention came back to the crystal. He listened as Malik went about explaining things as they were now. No wonder the boy was a tad upset. He had mentioned more than once that he found Malik a little on the intimidating side. But he didn't get two words in otherwise when Malik deactivated the thing. "He hung up on me."
A blink at the crystal before he set it on the beside again, somewhat reluctantly at that, watching it a moment and apparently contemplating calling back. Though he knew that if he did go down there, the 'but I wanna stay' argument would ensue too.
Piper? She had run out of arrows at some point and didn't feel the need to retrieve them and since everyone had more or less vacated her presence there was no one to fetch for her. Thus she had retired to sitting in the arena stands of sorts, slouched down in a seat with her feet propped on the back of the one in front of her, idly playing with the sharp tip of the one arrow that she did have left. Oh the things running through her head...negative that was for sure but she was trying to keep it subdued as well.

"But...I didn't get to say goodbye..." Zykariel glanced up at Malik with wide eyes and took a small step back from the imposing drow. Was he upset? He couldn't really tell. Then a blink as Rawr was picked up and he snatched Rawr from Malik and hugged him tightly. "He flew away from me." A pet to the stuffed dragon. "Where's Khai?"
"He's Malik." What more of an explanation did you need? She shook her head lightly and could see in his eyes he was torn. But she was not going to let him go. She wasn't goign to let him give into Zykariel when clearly Malik had it under control. So a moment later, she pounced, throwing her whole body against him in such a way that if he was surprised, he'd fall, if he wasn't, well it was going to hurt. A lot. Because slamming into Sevilin was like slamming into a brick wall. "Stop thinking that way Sevilin. You're not being a bad father, Zykariel isn't going to hate you for this. In a few moments he and Malikhai will start playing and he'll forget all about it. Trust me." Then she grinned mischeviously. "Look at you, all dressed again. now I have to undress you all over again. Lucky me...."

"Malikhai is downstairs...all you have to do is go see him."
Malik's shook his head lightly.
"Saying goodbye is not always needed. I think you and me need to have a talk. If you are willing to listen. if not, we can tlak later after you and Malikhai spemnd more time together, I'm sure he's ready to have you and him play with the Coq dragons."
