You don't seem to get it though.
The rain is connected to your mind. Yes?
If so: Your mind says "This wave of water is real" And it cannot say otherwise, because your mind is FORCED to think. "This wave of water is real"
Therefore: The rain will function as "I am hitting this wave of water" when the information reaches your mind. Because the rain is being used as an information gatherer to your mind.
What you're saying is basically something along the lines of.
"I see it is real. I smell it's real. I feel it's real. I taste it's real. I know it is real. But I'm being told it's not real. So it's not real"
Which means to say.
I can crack you over the head with a bat. You'll feel the bat, see it coming, hear the crack, taste the blood, and smell the dirt as you hit the ground.
But since your friend says. "Dude you're alright. it's not real" you immediately accept that it did not happen, because you trust your friend more then you trust me, or your own mind.
Needless to say. In a realistic standpoint. Your logic does not make sense. sweatdrop

Seeing something and feeling is different no? But, the rain is more spiritual than anything, I would know, I made it up, whys its called Rain of the Soul, Ame no Kihaku. Say you believe you see a monster, believe you smell it, and hear it, but a divine source, deeper than the mind itself says that its not there, IE. God, what would a spiritual person put their faith in, themselves or a connection with a higher deity?
The deity correct? (Not saying my rain is a god, just that its more than a mental thing)
And besides, he was on top the highest building in the village, it wasnt affecting him anyway, even if he was seeing it. I could understand if he was down in the water where everything would take affect, but an illusion cant destroy the building he is on, so it didn't really matter if he was in it or not.

And you're right, he wasn't being effected.
Either way, I do not agree with that reasoning. Being it said like that, that is a Genjutsu Negator for almost every genjutsu that creates anything physical.
But like I said. Doesn't matter. I just wanted it explained, or I would get annoyed/angry and do something rash.

True.
But that doesn't stop people from twisting words, and using things to their own advantage in order to win a battle. And that's what irritates me at points.
With your explanation I'll accept it. But the moment you manage to use your rain in order to avoid an internal genjutsu, or something to that effect that it shouldn't be able to do. I'll stomp down on it.

Illusions basically becoming real through the use of chakra, thats somewhat "broken." But who am I to say, I'm no mod. xp

Eh. It's really just using Chakra to simulate the effects of the genjutsu. "IE: Genjutsu clone walks across grass. Chakra is placed onto the feet in order to leave imprints in the grass. Therefore following the tracks of the Illusionist would become harder, when multiple genjutsu clones are headed off in random directions, and leaving life-like prints.
For all intents and purposes, Jerrik's illusions are all "real" anyway. Seeing as if he forms a fireball, and hits you with it. And then ends the Genjutsu. You'd wake up burned. xd

Technically yes.
But the way I set it up, is if you go pure Genjutsu. You can open the Reverse Life Gate, which will prevent Genjutsu Cancelers in form of either normal jutsu, or made ups.
So if you stand there wasting an action of canceling a genjutsu, after genjutsu.
You'll fall behind, because Two genjutsu could be used a turn. And then fall behind when the Reverse Life gate is opened, and you cant cancel anymore. 3nodding

So basically, a genjutsu user who makes things in the genjutsu,such as burns and cuts, reality, is practically unstoppable in the guild. Except to maybe Hedoro lol

Sort of.
The only issue is as it stands no matter how real my Genjutsu becomes. The safeguard is I cant actually KILL anyone with them.
So unless you personally accept the fact your character cant mentally handle the damage being placed upon them and die. You'd be able to find a way to win eventually.
The base limit for the Reverse Life Gate is 5 turns before the body comes under strain. As the same with the Normal gates, if you keep any of the ones 3 or higher open too long, you'd either pass out or die.
So pretty much, if you manage to find the will to survive. (Or simply follow the 4 D's of Dodgeball, through all the Genjutsu) You could out last the opponent, or find an opening.
Just like any other battle, it comes down to skill. If you out think the opponent you win.
I made this clan, so that Genjutsu would actually DO something in this guild again. lmao
