InugamiPup Colette_Brunel Midoshi InugamiPup *sips soda and wonders if he should start doing some work with the Q2 source... figured out how to make a psuedo flamethrower last night* ninja o.o How is it a "pseudo" flamethrower? xd Fake flames. surprised Yes... I was only experimenting with the Blaster/Hyperblaster code and I managed to get the "bolts" of the hyperblaster to have a flare-ish effect like the blaster... It looks like a flamethrower, but doesn''t really act like it... Unlimited range and no spread, so you could almost accurately shoot targets that are hundereds of meters away xp xd Ah, I get it. xp

Anon Zytose Midoshi Anon Zytose Actually... There are some questions of mine that I hope to have answered.
One is if there''s a place where the temperature is 1800C and the pressure is over 2200atm. I think (although I''m not sure) that both silicon dioxide and water could be liquid there. o.o Um, I don't know about silicon dioxide, but I'm fairly sure that water would be a supercricial fluid under those conditions. sweatdrop I take it that would be bad for any attempts at forming silicon-based life in such an environment? sweatdrop Well...supercritical fluids are funny. xp They react with things in strange ways...for example, when supercritical carbon dioxide is passes over coffee beans, it extracts the caffine. Maybe some properties of supercritical water could be taken advantage of for an ecosystem...? I dunno. xp This is the kind of stuff that needs research.

I'm also trying to research if there's a place in the mantle of a planet (like Earth) that has the right kind of pressure(s) and temperature(s).
Then I guess if that's so, I'll then want to see if silicon-based life could evolve down there.
...and sooner or later hope to figure out if a silicon-based intelligent life form can evolve. ...so that I can tell whether or not to include them in my game. xp
