A little gust of wind arose from the air around them both, mesing with Nerian's mane and tail, and also Bode's hair. Thus he got Serino's answer...hey that was mean...he didn't have to say that. Sometimes Serino could be a bully, couldn't he. Oh he'd get him back...
Serino stopped, turnign hsi head to noticing the figure stalking outside the fortress. Okay...who was that now? A sniff in his direction said he smelled like Bode...smelled like Bode...hm, no no. Nerian had Bode. And so a noise to this stranger to gain his attention. Hell...this guy should be lucky getting caught by him and not some Elf or Vah.

Simon froze, crouching a bit and looking twoard the sound. blended in fairly well too, dressed in lizard and rockspider skins and hides. and silently one of the daggers from his boot got drawn. it was a Zephyr...but he knew that Zephyr. and whom in belonged to.
Sop he stayed put, hoping the thing woudl think nothing of it. His duaghter was his only concern right now. personal safety was second, but he didn't want to get caught by that woman, now did he.

Serino didn't need to see him to know where he was...the air around the guy was drenched in his scent. And Serino merely walked lazily over to him, pawing at the ground in front of him and lowering his head to Simon. See, good Zephyr...creppy prowler...Wait...wasn't Bode going on about something about her father looking for her... and well...he reeked of Bode really...well not OF Bode but close to her. So a tentative noise to him...why were people so edgy around here? Oh yeah that's right...Piper was supposed to be something evil here..oh wait...he was her horse. Ooooh. Okay, well look here, no reins.

No wait...it's wasn't quite like Bode. It was a little different. Older...and...male. And yet Moonstone sat there, the clues weren't clicking.
In silence, they allf insihed their meals and sat waiting for...well okay Malik was throwing orders around for preperation, and piper and her father were around doing something. All he could do was sit around and wait.
His nose twitched again. It was starting to get annoying. Gees, why would He be smell...
And suddenly he had thrown himself from the table and towards ther oom that had been set aside for them. SHe shouted, "Onnyx! We have a problem!"

Tarathiel knocked softly on the door, almost expecting that it would open for him, but then agian, diviners always prefered a good show to actual shows of power. But then again, this one was different. She was only known to him as Oracle, and her reputation preceded her.
Dagger felt kindly towards her, as her musings often lead towards strange quests for stranger items... Dagger actually collected stories about some of the different things people were forced to do... Tarathiel smiled.
"I wonder if she can answer my question..."

The Oracle was currently stirring something thick and pastey and goobery green in a large cast iron put over the fire. She was just about done with people comming at her today. She had had a rush of people looking for miracle money, a way to get rich quick. She didn't want another one today....she sighed. Okay...one more...
"You'll have to open the door yourself. My doorman is...illdisposed at the moment."

He staye still while the horse poked at his with it's nose, the red eyes looking at the Zephyr without much care, but not in teh most friendly of manners, either.
"I know who you belong to. And you can tell her I want my daughter returned to me. Now."
No reins. that woman never had him without reins. what was going on here? A trick. it had to be. trick to get him to lower his guard so her dog of war coudl finish him off. well he wasn't buying it.
"I know the Triumverate fortress. and I know how to get in and out. they either return my daughter or I am coming in and I'll kill them all. ever her new winged pets."
Onyx perked up at his brother's yelling, brows furrowing slightly.
"What's going on, Moon? you're acting like someone just caught us in teh middle of tormenting a kelf."

This is why he hated people...they never trusted anything...much why he preferred elves...they at least gave things a try. Go and tell Piper, fine he would go and tell Piper...mean thing. Okay time to try something. Another paw at the ground before he stood still again.
Nerian shook his head, listening to Serino. Proof? What Bode's father? Wait...why was Serino going to get credit for this...he was the one who thought about it. But wait..he had Bode. Ha, he was still better. But alright. A little tendril of wind went about Bode's head, plucking a fox ear hair clip from her hair and it blinked from existence.
A moment later it would be swirling in a little vortex of wind in front of Serino, in between him and Simon. Oh look at that I know where your daughter is buddy. A snort at him before he turned tail on Simon, heading for the fortress. Fine, he'd let Piper handle it.

Tarathiel sighed, and opened the door. "I am sorry to have caught you so unaware, I will be more forth coming in my next visit, if I am so allowed as to return... Or alive to do so. Good day, good Oracle. You know my name of course, and my reason for visiting, or have you been distracted by so many comings and goings as to over look my appearance." Tarathiel bowed elogently, "My humble appologies for seeking your ear, when you are so bogged down by other guests. Tarathiel will send a message before his next visit."
The drow stood there, in his full armourments, wearing his weapons and non drow clock. His hair was parted down the middle today, as he had recently cut a great length of it off. It slowed his tumbling. The long thick beatifully white hair was tied behind his head, and braided. The braid reached his belt. His bangs reached just below his eyes, to the sides of his face. His hair style was depicted by needs, since he was too busy to shave it off every few days. The braid gave him a slight counter balance, and the bangs were allowed flow freely to give him some shielding against and sudden bright lights.

"Almost as bad...or maybe worse." He had winded hismelf with the quick sprint upstairs and the sudden rush of adrenalin.
He went to the window, opened it wide to let the air in. "Tell me what you smell." Not waiting for an answer he grabbed bode's fox figurine from the bedside table. "We are going to ahve to fight early, methinks."
Bode tried to grab at her hair clip. "Hey! That was a birthday gift from Daddy! They don't look right if I only wear one!" She pouted at the horse. "What did you do with it?"
She chuckled. Okay, this was going to be better than your average peasant visit. "You mistake me for someone who is all knowing, Tarathiel. In the future, names mean little. Your reasons mean little as well. I cannot choose what I know and what I don't know, that is granted to me by higher beings." She straightened. Cracked her back. The goop would be okay to sit there simmering for a while. Probably be best for it actually.
"Yours sounds like a face I would like to see." She gestured to the wooden table in front of her. "Please, put this on." An amulate, much like the one Piper had worn, lay on the table. A flat disk of what appeared to be gold.

Tarathiel chuckled, "I most instances, it would take a very close trusted friend to convince me to wear a device I know nothing off... Too many curses back home... But, Oracle, I always did enjoy to live rather wildly." He smiled, and picked up the amulet, takin his own off, and replacing it with the new one. The other amulet was wraped around his wriste and held tighly in his palm. It was his second favorite item after all. "Might I inquire into the nature of your brew?"

Simon grabbed that clip, and held it.
"Where is she! you blasted tormenting teasing hope raising wreched beast of a Zephyr!"
If he knew that one of his daggers might have hurt it he'd thrown one into it's flank by now.
Onyx smelled..and looked at the figurine.
"You can't be serious. How the hell did he get here this fast? there's no raft anymore..I mean even to swim..how. you can't be right. your nose is tricking you and whatever scent you got on you is messing with mine. There's no way a human got here that fast."

Nerian turned his head, nuzzling at Bode's leg. He gave a gentle noise to her and a caress of wind over her cheek. It was alright, she would get it back...along with a much better surprise if things were going to work out well.
For a moment Serino stopped and looked to Simon, giving an encouraging noise to him. Oh she was safe and sound and would be fine. But he couldn't tell him that now could he...and letting suspicions get up would cause trouble. Right, fetch the people who spoke common.
Piper hit the floor a bit hard as she foot was yanked out from under her, a whip wrapped around her ankle and the point of a sharp gleaming scimitar at her throat. She groaned in horrible horrible defeat. "I'm just not good at this..."
"Better learn Pip. You can't rely on your bow all the time. I mean I trained you when you were younger for whips and daggers as well, you get them pretty easily, but you just don't see comfortable with them...or swords for that matter." A snap of his whip to get it to untangle from her ankle and he sheathed his sword a moment to reach out a hand and help her up.
"I don't like to get close to people..." She looked quite the defeated little thing...and she was. Her father two handed two different types of weapons and he was ambidextrous as well...she just couldn't keep her attention on all of him at once.
"That's not an excuse and you know it." A tilt of his head at her. "I take it Malik has had just as much trouble?"
"Malik didn't go about teaching me to fight close range...we both didn't think it important. Besides...I can handle myself pretty well."
"Ever hear the phrase almost doesn't count? It's true." But his attention turned as Serino clomped up to them and Kieran as well as Piper got inquisitive looks. "Bode's father? Are you sure?"
"That could be a problem...wait...where's the boys. I know full well Malik, Onyx, and Moon will get their feathers ruffled about this."

"Oh yeah? how long has Bode been missing from her father? Long enough to get to know Malik a little bit. She's been seperated about as long as we've been here. And for a determened father...he's probably hardley slept, or eaten, driven by anger...think of our Father, How long would it take him?" He didn't wait any longer, he left the room. "He's going to be wondering where she is, and we just sent her off on a Zephyr."
Bode gave a resigned sigh. ""Oh, okay. I guess you can borrow it for now." She patted his neck. "I trust you, Mr. Nerian."
"You humble me with your trust." Said a little dryly, but with humor intended. She regarded him a moment, when her blind eyes where actually able to see him. She sat at her table, gestured to the chair in front of her. "No need for formalities here, handsome. Sit, make yourself comfortable." She looked to the brew. Her smile faded. "A sick child wants some happy dreams without pain before he dies. Unfortuantly the parents were to late in comming to me. An easy passing is all I can provide."
She put her elbows on the table, rested her chin on her folded hands. "Now, good Tarathiel, what do you seek form the Oracle?"

The drow elf smiled, and sat. "Indeed, I am glade that this affords you some sight." Sitting in the chair that she indicated, Tarathiel leaned across the table and simply asked, "What should I do?"
