Holy crud, it's gonna take 5300 words to make the katana I want. That will nearly double my character's power. I think it'll be worth it though. Cuz once I have an awesome sword, I can learn so many more techniques like the black flame ones, and the sword jutsus from Hidden Cloud. It's exciting just to think about.

Hedoro | I would fight you but I don't really have time or brain room for it. I'd expect a hardcore and very enlightening battle to come from accepting or extending such an offer. I'd be more open to low level sparring if anything. Besides, I'm thinking of becoming more semi-passive since I never really liked fighting in the first place. The sooner I get to my storylines epic battle portion, the sooner that can happen and I can give some of my items away. -twiddles hair- Sorry for babbling on instead of just saying no or somethin. >.<

BCB: Going to be a sword specialist? Nice! If so, you're going to want to head to Feudal Tokyo in the World Hidden in Fantasy, for some Rurouni Kenshin techs.
Grim: Understandable, I certainly can't blame you for that. As for a spar, sure, though then I'd probably use Tamao instead, as she's more likely to go for a pure competition without having to try to kill. (Kind of a way to pick up where we left off in that three-way fight between the two of us and Reaver, sort of?)

I dont necessarily want to be a sword specialist but it'd definately be cool to have that edge. And it's an excuse to learn a whole bunch of techniques. How's this for a pic for my character?

Sword specialist, edge? I see what you did there. Cutting edge of sword puns right there, hehe. But yes, it's an opportunity for a huge amount of techs if you do get a sword. (Or in Tamao's case, a whole bunch of swords...)
The pic seems good enough of a choice. Did you model your character after a pre-existing character, or did you just look for something that was similar to your mental image?

I just happened to come across a picture that was kind of similar to my mental image. And I'm glad you caught my pun. I just finished training in the Hidden Mist. Next up is Hidden Katana. It'll probably take me a two days or so to write the whole sword creation. It will be a true test for me to accomplish it. I figure if I can write 5300 words on making a sword, then any other training will seem easy by comparison. I am very excited to do it.

Haha, with as many puns as I make, I couldn't not notice another's puncraft. And yeah, there aren't too many techniques that go beyond 2-3000, so 5300 for a batch will be a good chunk in it's own right. If you don't mind spilling the proverbial beans, what sort of idea do you have for your blade?
(Mine are Kurobara Hyoushi. First ability is if it cuts something, thorny rose vines grow out of the ground to latch on to the cut area. Enough of them can immobilize and bleed you dry. Second ability is in the vein of the final moment of a swordfight, the standoff and final blow.
And the second sword is Boukyaku Oshimai no Suikikan. First ability is basically turning the blade to slime/water, so it's unbreakable and can change it's shape at will. Second ability is: Bankai: "Bring an end to all things, Boukyaku no Oshimai Suikikan (Oblivion's End, Water Mirror)" ~ (( Hedoro Koutai )) This is a much more fearsome ability of Hedoro's blade. It seems to become even more focused and concentrated. It returns to the form of a normal blade, and cannot shift it's shape or any of Hedoro's other abilities. It remains a translucent blue like her substance, however. By concentrating enough, when Hedoro cuts something with this blade, she can cause it to revert to a state similar to that origin of life, the primordial ooze. Using this blade for any length of time is extremely exhausting, so Hedoro can only use it very sparingly. (One post for every 75,000 chakra she has.)

Well my character already has extremely powerful lightning techniques so I know it will NOT be a lightning sword. I was thinking maybe wind since that's his other Asuka's other element. But I'm really not sure yet. When I make the sword to I post in training completion? and do I post my made-ups for it in the made up thread? Does it cost chakra to use my katana made ups?

Hedoro | It'd be nice to spar with Tamao, actually. In order to 'finish things up', I'd even use Kan. I can only imagine how nice it'd be to be able to make a mistake and not risk losing anything since it's just a spar and Tamao isn't the "KILL THAT FOO!" type. I could even lose and have the chance to challenge her again. -fantasizing- Sadly, he's tied up in Flame with Dylan. So it'd probably have to be another of my rpc. I'd prefer it to be my Albhed rather than Shaneko because she is pretty competitive while Kenkaku is always up for getting experience. A more lax rpc personality, ya know? But Kenkaku is weak and Shaneko is not as weak. xD I'll just have to give him a quick little update, I suppose.
BCB | When you make the sword, you post the training in the Training Completion the same for a technique. This technique, this technique's cost, etc. You should also add in the additions the name of your sword or state that your sword doesn't have a name. I can then tackle updating your training. The sword Made Ups do indeed go into the Made Up topic for judgement. Depending on the power of Made Up for the sword, it can cost chakra or even have a drawback like Hedoro's; but most times it doesn't. Also... your rpcs picture is hawt. ;3

BCB: Or, if you want a wind sword, you can grab the one from Hidden Craftsman and reserve your custom blade for something more specific, perhaps.
Grim: Either or, I don't mind waiting a while if it makes a difference. But yeah, Tamao might be a little gruff/curt, but she wouldn't be the type to seek to kill. So I'll leave it up to you who you want to use.

Hedoro, you talking about the soaring short swords? I suppose that is an option. In that case, I would probably make a defense sword, cuz my character doesn't have alot of defensive options between wind and lightning.

Yup, that would be it. And that isn't a bad idea, just find a way to emphasize defense with a blade. Be it turning into armor, or something completely different.

I kinda like that idea. How do I go about procuring those swords from Hidden Craftsmen?
