Hey guys, I need some serious advice. I'm still pretty young and don't have much experience with handling delicate situations in real life, so I could really use a lot of help/ advice on how to handle something. If you have no interest, then ignore this post. If you don't mind helping, the issue I'm dealing with is in white, so just highlight this post.
I have had this friend I became really close with for over 3 years. Around the same time, I met a guy here on Gaia. Both have really helped me through some stuff and helped me when I needed it most. The guy I met on Gaia I fell in love with and deeply love. The guy I know in real life I also deeply love, but not in the same sense as the guy I met online. My real life friend does love me as much as my online guy.
Here's my problem :: My real life friend has been cutting himself. He's been really unstable the past few monthes and hurting himself, but didn't tell me until today. Most of it is from he stress of going through two really tough break-ups with people he had deeply loved, stress from work, stress from school, and the fights he's been having with his father which has led to him being kicked out several times. Well, as he told me about him harming himself, he also told me-- as he has been-- that he loves me. It's dawning on me that he really does love me, and that he's so fragile that if I tell him about the guy I do love tha it may break him. I tried asking for help from the guy I love here on Gaia, but now he's freaking out and thinking i'm leaving him and saying I'm the light of his world, which is what the other one said. Now I can't stop crying because I'm afraid of hurting one or both when both are so important to me. Please help. What should I do?

You could lie to your friend and tell him that you're not ready to be in a relationship if you don't wanna tell him about the other guy.

Ok, first a question.
Did you ever meet the guy you know from gaiaonline? Do you know him from someting else than just text messages?
I would most certainly go for the RL person than for someone online, but that's just me.
Even if you say you don't want to have a relationship with him, I would most certainly try to keep being friends with the RL guy, because, as far as I understand, he is in an unstable situation. It sounds as if he is in need of a good friend to whom he can tell anything, and a shoulder to cry on.
I myself have a good friend to whom I was in love. She knews that and told me she wasn't interested, and I accepted that. It didn't really do any harm to our amical relationship. I can still tell her anything.
I don't know how deep the relation goes between you and the gaiaonline guy. Do you chat outside of gaia? Do you talk to him by cam? Have you already met in person?I personally don't think that I would fall in love with someone via the internet, but that, again, can just be me.
