Fun fact:
I've been drinking 46kg of sugar per year.

Well, no, I've actually been drinking more, but that's just the easiest number to come up with. 3 cans of coke (or other pops that have roughly the same sugar content) per day (except sometimes it's 4).

46kg is 101 lbs. I've weighed 100 lbs before. I've been drinking an ENTIRE SKINNY TEENAGED ME in sugar.

I uh....might take a while to process this.

Bought another sewing machine because I have no will power and my boyfriend is too nice. She's a beaut. I think she can use cams, so that means a whole bunch of different stitches. She's a Piedmont/Riccar cross, so quite a mystery.

In laws are also over. It's quite warm so my hands go all funny and it annoys me.

Heading to Seattle this weekend.

Want to trade? Lol. Mine seems to take so long to grow. Like YEARS to get to the point I want. I do know unhealthy ways to stop hair growth but that would be like limiting water intake, not enough sleep, and other things of the such. Yet, I'd rather get my hair cut all the time than deal with the consequences an unhealthy body can bring. I do know I've started using the product line Olive Oil root stimulating stuff. So far, I've noticed my hair growth is progressing. I noticed a change in the roots as far as length after a couple days. I'm excited! And with the heat from summer, I'm hoping by fall I can at least get past shoulder length if I try hard enough. I'm stuck with a bob for now. I want to start braiding my hair again. xD

Apparently, strawberry banana jam is a real thing, so I made a little batch with one banana and one little container of strawberries.

And if you've ever ruined your house by making caramelized onions and you wake up the next morning and the whole house smells like onions, apparently the best solution is to make jam because now the house smells *amazing*.

I made a God's eye with yarn and sticks from the trees in my backyard.

Neat! I've never heard of that jam before. I'm guessing it tastes like a banana strawberry smoothie?

Another neat sounding thing I haven't heard of! Did you happen to take a picture of it?

Speaking of pictures, I've moved my photo home and am re-cataloguing my photographs. I have 29k+ photos, which averages 13 photos taken per day since 2008.

I have two juvenile jays. It's been kinda wet and cool out so the jays came back to mooch some food off of me. They brought their kiddos. So adorably cute. The squirrels are huge mooches too, expecting hand outs anytime I'm out there. They'll eat out of my hand, which is cool, except when they mistake my fingers for peanuts.

I got a raise today which is awesome. My boss and I also went to the garden centre and got some plants. Excited to plant them on Monday.

And there's an event going on and I never realized what influx it caused. I live in a town of 10, 000. This event has 15, 000+ participates. That means that the population of the town doubles for a weekend. Boggles my mind.

In laws are gone, so doing laundry, airing the place out, tidying up, that sort of thing. We also watched five or so episodes of This Old House to catch up on the weekends we missed. ninja (Saturday and Sunday mornings are our This Old House days.)

Well, there's a lot of sugar in jam so it's more like strawberry-banana juice box flavored.

something similar i make, the Bridget's Cross:
User Image
A symbol of the pagan Goddess Brigid meant to protect your house from fire and evil.

Just mowed the lawn and finally planted flowers. Oh yeah, right after I broke my ankle on the growth plate playing basketball.. again. I broke my right ankle on the growth plate last year during football season and now I broke my left ankle on the growth plate right before football season. I have the worst luck.

Yesterday I found a cute pair of plain shoes at a thrift store that look basically unworn, the bottom had no wear on them, just a bit of dust.
Three Dollars!
And last week at a different thrift store there was a fill-a-bag sale and I got a blue shrug that still had a price tag on it ($165) for less than a dollar. It's ridiculously fancy.

Today I had to pick all the peas left on my plants, because they're starting to dry up. The beans are flowering, I've got two different healthy mystery plants, and surprisingly the lentils I planted from my food-lentils bag just for kicks are growing pretty well. There's not a long enough season and they're a totally ineffective plant to hand harvest (there's only two lentils per pod, so it's outrageously slow) but it's making for a fun ground cover.

peas are finally dying back.
I need a good easy to grow leafy green to grow next.

I was thinking spinach, any tips on growing it?

Sweet! Thanks for the visual. I have a few pagan books, I'm going to look through them to see if they have history and instructions on making them. If not, I can always do the ole Googling.

Sweet finds! Perhaps we should have a thrift store picture post. ninja

My peas are just starting to bloom. They have yellow leaves on the bottom, so I put some compost on them, hopefully that'll correct it.

Mixed greens? I've never tried spinach, we have the climate for it here, but I've never once seen spinach seeds for sale. Good luck on whichever you choose!

Me? I've been stressed. I had to get an extension on my math course because I'm a uber failure. Well, sorta. The last two assignments, I received 100% and 94%. I'm just so slow when it comes with math. I also have been occupied more so at work (not really, but it's an excuse I like to make). My boss came up the other week so I wanted to have everything tidy and stuff. I got a raise which is nice. We're rearranging some stuff and the owner keeps doing it the opposite of what I want which is a bit frustrating because I have to email them back explaining that what they've done isn't the most efficient.

I've finished pinning the blanket for a co-workers baby that's suppose to be born next month. I was going to make it on my treadle, but decided to do it on the '56 electric White instead. I oiled him up for a test run and I just love the hum of the motor. I need to get better at sewing and have more projects so I can utilize the five machines I have. Yeah, I have five sewing machines.

My brother sent me a box of childhood toys. Most of them were ponies. I now have 41 vintage MLP. I wonder about myself some days.

Edit: So season 5 of Merlin is on Netflix so we're catching up. I just realized that I know a real life Arthur that looks/is built like Percival. rofl
