Zykariel rather liked everything the half elf said, it sounded like fun to him. She didn't seem ready to point anything out about Sevilin, or talk about making him do anything that he didn't want to do. She was humble too. He watched her juggle the fireballs, let the light reflect off his purple eyes and grinned when the ground rolled beneath his feet. That looked like fun, he wanted to learn how to do that.

"Daddy doesn't either." In fact this teacher was a lot like his father in the passive, humble sense though he didn't recognize the exact characteristics. She knew what she could do adn was okay with it but also claimed she wasn't nearly on par with the others. A blink over at Malikhai, he'd heard the words as well, sometimes his parents discussed just that but he didn't say anything, letting Malikhai questions but always keeping a watchful eye on him.

Zahara saw something pale flash in front of her face and if she hadn't been paying attention, whatever it was would probably be lopped off and writhing on the floor right about now. But she calmed herself and took the glass of wine from his hand, setting it down while she went back to writing. And then Arthur wanted to know what she was doing. "List for the marketplace," she said as she wrote 'steak.' "We're out of a few things so I'm going to pick them up." And surprise him, she added silently.

Zell smiled at him. "The oracle will have beds for you, she always does." He gave a wave of his hand as he turned around once more. "Well since the new comer is passed out, I'm heading to the arena, see ya baby!" He said as he walked away.

Arthur watched Zahara list a little bit after he placed his cup down on the table, his eye then moved slowly over to her bare arm and traveled up until it reached her shoulder, well he was sexually active with the drow so he couldn't help but look at Zahara, she's really attractive. "Oh going to the market huh? Well I haven't been there in awhile want me to tag along?" He asked as he slowly placed his hands on her shoulders, a second later they began to pulse with that warm magic he likes to use when he is in contact with her; a small grin appeared on his face as he started tot slowly rub her shoulder, he told Zahara she needed a break and he was going to give her one even without her help.

She chewed on her bottom lip, mentally going over the stores of spices and other ingredients that might need replenishing and wrote down a few more ingredients, then felt Arthur's hands on her shoulders. She shifted slightly, trying to think of what else she might need but he apparently had other ideas. Indulging him she put down her pen and shrugged. "If you watn to but you might see a side of me you won't like very much. You come at your own risk, if we get things thrown at us or chased out of the market, don't say I didn't warn you."

"Well I'll think about it, if you have very important business to do while there then I don't want to get in your way mela." He muttered as his hands began to go lower and lower down her arms, his warm touch now pulsing with every move he made. After maybe a minute or some his hands started to move else where, one trailed downwards and started to rub her stomach slowly, playing with her belly button ring a little bit for fun. His other hand went up and started to dance across her neck and underneath her chin until he slowly titled her head backwards so she could look right at him. "When is the last time I have told you that you've got the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen?" He asked as his playful grin appeared on his face.
PostPosted: Mon Oct 23, 2006 7:42 pm

"Important business? At the market?" she scoffed. "Goodness no, I just tend to get a little testy with some of the vendors when they refuse to back down from what I feel are unfair prices. Sometimes they get a little testy back." A second later she was looking back up at him, her head bent back over the top rung of the chair and she mirrored his smile though she really wasn't feeling it. "You don't have to tell me..." Violet. Rare eyes that others found so beautiful, she absolutely abhorred. But then her mind quickly evaluated the situation at hand. She was stuck in the chair, caged in between his arms and the inability to move was rasing her defenses, her pulse and her awareness in all the wrong ways. She shivered lightly as his hands trailed down and brushed against the tiny hoop looped into her skin. He was playing with a very sensitive area, an area that would allow him to cause abject pain if he so chose and forced her to stay still to keep said pain from occurring unless he ripped it out all of a sudden. True he was a surface elf and likely wouldn't but she was a drow and these sorts of thoughts crossed her mind. Her chin was imprisoned in his grasp and she swallowed, waiting to see how long he'd keep her in this position. The crux of it all was every emotion she gave off could easily be taken as adherence and submission to his effect on her body, which it was but not the good kind. "You know..." she paused briefly, her breath hitching as his finger once again played with the fragile hoop. Oh why couldn't she see what he was doing? See if he was considering ripping it out or far worse... "I do need to get to the market, the boys have to eat...."

"I see." Arthur silently watched her eyes for a little while, even though Zahara was as open as she could ever be around him she still had her insecurities about her body and other things that even he doesn't know about; but still her violet eyes kept on calling to him even though her body may have not. Though he had been with her in bed and out for at least three years and he had developed a way to sense with there was something wrong, even if he could barely see it, and now this was one of these times where it seemed she was uncomfortable with how she was sitting in his grasp, even her voice had a sense of worry in it when she spoke to him. Well of course being the man he was Arthur just smiled and kissed her softly on the lips before pulling his hands away without even a word of wanting to keep them where they were before. "Well then Zahara I shouldn't be keeping you from it then." His hands where still at her shoulders but only stayed there until he had completely gotten rid of that warm feeling that came from his hands then he pulled away and grabbed his cup of wine while pulling out the chair next to her and sat in it. After taking a sip of wine he set the cup down again and looked at her list. "Got everything you need to get while your out?" He asked as he reached for his cup again, the wine left a good feeling on his lips.

Onyx nodded lightly and moved out to get the Oracle, though he didn't really mind that Zell was going to the arena...he coudl feel that feeling under his fur that ment it was in need of a shower. but off to teh Oracle's presence he went first.

the half-elf gave a slight grin.

"Imbuement is a trick you can learn, but as to backfires and such..well yes, I can be countered and have people make things backfire. but that's why I have a wide range to pick from, so that if someone does counter, I have another choice to use."

"true enough, and probably more than one language as well."

giving her a gentle hug and rubbing her shoulder, then a glance over at another servant.

"make sure arthur is reminded he has an appointment later today down here as well."

Okay well that seemed like a good explaination now didn't it? Made sense at well to his mind. So he rolled it around a bit in his head a moment before getting himself up from the ground and brushing his pants off, daddy didn't like him dirty all the time, and took Zykariel's hand again in signal that the two were moving on thier thier last little inquiry, the conjuror. And hey look at that, they didn't have to break thier necks to look up this time. Wasn't that nice. "Okay, your turn." This was getting kind of fun.

"Try to get him to use one language at one time first. The funny little mix of mine and yours isn't going to to be cute forever." Ah yes that little quirk where he just couldn't decide which to use and thus just used both in that mish mashed way. Personally she found it cute, but cute as it was she still corrected it. He'd probably keep it as a quirk and later find a use for it to confuse the hell out of people and think it funny, but that was later. "What other one did you have in mind?" Because that's how he was making it sound.

Zykariel moved along with his friend adn stopped before the conjuror then shook his head. "I hope you got something better to show us, because her stuff was really neat." Jerking her thumb back towards the mage. "Can you do something better than creating flutterbys and juggling fireballs and making hte ground roll?" The conjuror had a hard job, impressing the boys who had seen quite a bit already.

Zahara was relieved when he released her though she felt her insides churn once again when he kept his hands resting on her shoulders. That could be a little interesting. "I'm sure I've got everything. It'll take us no time at all. If you're coming let's go." She picked up her list and headed out to the stables. In no time she had Faete saddled and ready to go, heading towards the marketplace she'd discovered.

Arthur thought about it for a moment, either he go with Zahara to the market place and shop or he could stay here and do something with Malik or Sevilin. After weighing the options in his head for a split second he quickly followed Zahara to the stables, and luckily for Arthur he just missed the slave coming to give him the message from Malik as he disappeared around the corner to go to the stables. With Zahara's help he was able to saddle the steed he was on earlier this morning and in no time at all they were at the marketplace that she had mentioned just minutes earlier.

The gnome gave a cheerful grin and a clap of his hands.

"My turn at last! to show you the wonders of conjuration! wonderful! where to start. Ah yes. my big talent, the defining ability, is my pets. Like a necromancer, I use pets to fight and defend me...but mine are made of the elements. golems of stone...scouts of mist and air, powerful mages of flame, and swarms of watery monsters. I pull them from the elemental planes themselves, yep I do!"

A little bouncing and clapping again.

"Oh..and I can create food and water...armor, weapons..though they aren't really the best, they make due in a pinch! and I can shield you with fire, so those that hit you burn for it...and I can use the stoneskin. and like the mage there, I can help protect you from fire and ice."

Nodding some.

"But that's all I can do..and since miss mage over there is so overly humble...I'll let you in on a secret."

He gathered them up close.

"She can cross planes, too. neat stuff."

He of course was a gnome...he didn't really care if he got picked or not, but some help for his tinkerings and such woudl be welcome. and of course, there being so few non tier'dal magic users around..those that we're became good friends rather quickly out of self preservation.

"that depends on thier teacher. necromancy requires learning the language of the dead. mages usually study draconic. Illusionists study many languages, and conjurors...lord only knows what languages they might study."

A little jump at the clap of the gnome's hands and then the strong way he started out, the toddler not at all expecting that from someone under dad's list of employment, sure others could be kind, but they were usually quiet. This one was loud, though not the bad you're in trouble loud. Thus listening as intently as ever, ears twitching a little as then a 'secret' was propsed. "Silly, no one can planes cross like that no more." Yes, he had already been taught that too, seeing as learning about his home entailed the last few years of happenings.

Though again that analytical look to this one, he felt the need to be a little bit inquiring. "It doesn't all just go poof whenever it feels like it, does it?" Because things like that randomly happened in magic that he had seen.

"I'm sure there will be a little whining about that." The boy was picky about some certain things, though he did eventually sit down and do what he was told. But still, he had to fuss a little as all children did. Studying some subjects just wasn't fun for him...especially when he couldn't mix them up. But she watched the children fondly, leaning against her husband and her feathers a bit smoothed out by this point. It was rather calming just to watch them go about things in thier cute little ways. "Next thing you know he's going to want to go sword slinging with you."

"Oh that's what everyone says. but that's only because a certain item was stolen that pissed off some diety who has locked us down till he gets it back."

waving his little hand like that wasn't a big deal. then a grin at the question.

"Bright boy! good question! nope, they don't just poof when they want to. they only poof when they are destroyed, or your killed...or you dismiss them. just like the stuckup blackrobed guy over there. his pets are like that too."

"You say that like it's a bad thing."

A little chuckle to her, and a kiss. yep, her feathers were smoothing out and not so ruffled.

"Personally, I think that gnome has had too much to drink. either that, or he's abnormally happy today for some reason."

The conjuror seemed to be the most excited of the others now didn't he? Zykariel too looked pretty skeptical when he mentioned that the mage could planes cross since no one could. Yup he was up on the current events too. It made sense to him, if Rawr was stolen from him he'd deny whoever took it something they really wanted too. At least until his dragon was back.

"So they don't poof whenever they want to, but how do you know for sure that you can make them do what you want? If they're smart enough to take orders, aren't they smart enough not to follow them?" After all, he didn't always do what he was told to do and neither did Khai. And yes monsters and what not seemed to be commanded but could they ever get a mind of their own? "Like if you dismiss them but they aren't ready to leave yet, can they stay around?"

She took off at a breakneck pace and pushed Faete the entire way until finally she guided him along what appeared to be a rock face. The cliff was solid almost up to the 'sky' which was really the ground. She peered at it for a few moments then moved Faete down the way a little bit before stopping and waving her hand, it shimmered and she rode through. "Come on Arthur, don't fall behind." Wasn't illusionary magic fun? On the other side was a bustling marketplace filled with all kinds of races. They were mostly drow but there were a few others mixed in. Mindful of her time, she slipped off Faete and immediately walked up to one elf's cart and began pointing and speaking in rapid drow.
