You want the story? XD Reekoo will explain.
Mathadus was the Lycan leader. The alpha male. Mathadus turned Kinikki, automatically giving him a rather high blood concentration... Like, he was more Lycan than just a normal Lycan... Kinikki overthrew Mathadus. Mathadus wasn't happy. Kinikki became alpha male after killing Mathadus.. Now like vampires, Lycans have a strong connection with their makers as well as their mates. So that enabled Mathadus to come back through Kinikki. That's why Kinikki started that whole war thing.. And about the bomb, he strapped it to himself so no one would shoot him.. Because evidently they'd take half of Manhattan with him. Buuuut someone provoked him, he dropped the bomb and zoomed off on a motorbike... Boom. Half the city exploded... Lots of mortals died.. Others helped with the clean up... Mortals blamed it on terrorists and got on with it. Voila.
