the necromancer didn't say anything, but knew that his little time was over. Hmm. maybe a good example but a bad choice of wording. damn kids were so hard to explain things to.
the other three of course gave thier own little smirks at the necromancer. put his neck on teh chopping block there, didn't he.
Malik looked at his wife and shook his head lightly in amusement.
"I heard. I know what he was trying to do, and it looks like it backfired on him. he was hoping our son would be quick to jump on a 'make sure ashlyn never goes away' thought and pick him without thinking any further than that. but our son is more intelligent than that."

Aella couldn't say that she really understood any of it...thids honour and insult stuff, but she'd go with it. She shrugged. "I just wouldn't mind getting through a day where no one insulted the other. It would be kind of nice."
She was glad he toook that bottle back without questioning it. She didn't want to offend or anything...but this whole smell things was gorss...and kind of creepy.
Moonstone waved at his rbother and Aella. "Hey Onyx. Keeping well I hope. Rusty here showed up at the clinic. Interesting, don't you tihnk?" Refereing to the fact that they didn't think there was any that even resembled their kind down here.

"which is why I try to avoid him when I can."
A small smile to Aella, and a little pat on her shoulder. hey at least he was able to show her little signs of friendly affection.
"and don't forget, you still owe me a trip to see romeo and juliet too. want to meet the new company?"
then a look over at his twin.
"Interesting indeed. and things are progressing...very well. Save a few minor problems and general annoyances"
Moonstone woudl catch the about a milisecond flick of eyes to Aella on that first part. the rest of it of course was concerning Zell.
"and your clinic I hear is in good shape. So what's the name of the new kid here?"

"Why would he want to talk to dead people? Important people have stories told about them all the time and if it's told you to you dont' forget. 'Cause elves don't forget." Zykariel parrotted his father. He'd heard that all the time when he claimed that he 'forgot' how to make his bed or clean his room.
Zykariel's face screwed up when the necromancer began speaking abou Ashyln and the moment Malikhai got upset, Zykariel stepped up and crossed his arms. "You upset Khai. I don't like you." And then he turned to his friend. He was slightly worried because he didn't want anything to happen to Ashlyn and he really didn't want anything to happen to Nym. But his friend wanted to move and he nodded, taking his hand and tugging him away from the necromancer. "Who do you want to talk to next? That lady doesn't look to mean." he said pointing to the Illusionist. "Kinda looks like you a little bit."
Zahara was thrilled that that was all cleared up. Though it did kind of mess wiht her head a bit because he was worried about talking to her. Surface elves...how in the hell was seh supposed to understand them? "Glad to know it Arthur." THen she went back to her list.

She looked at his hand, but decided not to make a fuss about it. She was too tired now to have an episode. She smiled. "Sure."
Moonstone placed his incapacitated friend in a chair quite similar to the one Aella was sitting in. He gave a quick peek over to the Whirlwind girl before comming back to his boryth. "His name is Rusty. Says he sells odds and ends to get a meal evdry day or so. Comes from up north somewhere, I think."

Boy was Arthur one happy elf, the elf from across the table wasn't cheating on him she was only training; he should of thought of that one he has seen her train before and she was always happy about it afterwards when the battle finished, man did he felt stupid. "So am I." He said and sighed a little as he grabbed his cup, calling over the slave he asked for another cup of wine then looked over at Zahara with a light smile. "Do you want some?"

"Up north, eh? might have to visit the area sometime."
that was interesting.
"Well. I'm Onyx..this fine femme fatale in teh chair here in Aella, or Whirlwind if you prefer. that dog you saw was Zell, and should I be fetching the Oracle you think?"
A look back at Aella on that one.

"Probably thinks he's simple minded because he's half surface elf...poisoning his mind and what not." Followed by some mumbling. No she wasn't a happy woman today at all. Oh the work that was going to have to be done to soothe her. Maybe she'd hack her hair back to the nape of her neck out of spite. Of course though she could feel Malik's amusement. "And I'm so glad one of us is amused." Retunring her look to both boys. Though she was amused herself how Zykariel very plainly and clearly stated his opinion. Wasn't that cute?
"Hey are you saying I look like a girl?" Having the tone with his friend that they usually got with each other when they thought such things. But he let his friend pull him along for a bit before falling into stride as they crossed the arena. But they made thier way over to the other tier'dal in thier midst. "Okay so what makes you better than him?" Jerk of a thumb across the arena and suddenly acquiring a business like approach to all of this.

the female gave one of those overly sweet smiles to the two boys. Of course she'd learn from her colleague's mistakes.
"I'm an Illusionist. my magics are used to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses and minds of others."
Kneeling down, just to get in thier comfort zone.
"I can make dreams real, and real things dreams. and I can make shadows dance and light turn into things. here let me show you what I mean."
she held up her hand, turning it both ways so they coudl see there was nothing it in, and twisted her wrist and closed her palm. holding it out a moment..then opening it up to let loose a great fluttery of buterflies that had wings like stained glass.
"But that is the little things. I can make your mind think there are things, even feel things like pleasure or pain, when nothing is really there. I can make you move faster, your little wooden swords a blur in the air...and I can make the power of magic easier to use and to regain when you feel drained."
Yes, all the fun little perky parts first.
"but my powers aren't all fun and games. I can defend myself. I can make the mind feel great pain, I can make my enemies slowwer in thier movements. I can summon from little daggers a weapon and a shield that will defend me till it's own destruction. I can reverse gravity to throw my enemies high into the air, and let them hit the ground."
Then a small grin.
"and i can control the minds of others. make them do what I want, to whom I want, for periods of time. I coudl make Sevilin fall in love with a pig, or make your daddy bark like a dog. Or take one enemy, and make him fight another one to protect me."
"I'm amused becuase you're getting more worked up about it than he is. I know you hate necromancers, and it seems that one put his own foot in his mouth and has likewise probably lost his potential student and prestige. And I bet the others aren't going to like it either, and he'll lose even more status among his brethren."
An arm at her waist and pulling her against him.
"He doesn't think he's simple minded. he tried for a quick seal the deal example and it backfired on him. He underestimated our son. and he's probably kicking himself mentally for it."

"No, just that she's blue like you are and your dad is. I'd never say you looked like a girl, that would be silly since you are a boy." He tilted his head and listened to the woman speak. Hey all that sounded pretty good. Fun and games really. Maybe this one he would actually like.
And then it went bad. "No you can't! You can't make my dad do anything he doesn't want to do!" Why would his father fall in love with a pig? That jsut wasn't right. Zykariel crossed his arms and shook his head. Nope, didn't like her either.
Zahara laughed softly and nodded, "Sure I'll have a glass of wine. I like wine after all."

Arthur grinned a little bit, seems like things were settling down for them after their little talk. "Well you heard her go get some wine!" He told the slave and she rushed off and a minute later the two cups were brought out filled halfway with wine. Arthur took both cups and smiled lightly as an idea popped into his head, getting up slowly he walked around the table until he was standing next to Zahara and with his smile turning into a grin he lifted his arm up and moving in closer lowered the cup so it was presented right in front of her as he stood directly behind her. "Here you go, you could use a break you know." He said with a light chuckle as he took a sip of his wine. "So what are you working on anyway?"

That little pissy business look sort of melted away as the illusionist to better means than the other had with them, not forcing them to look up for the majority of explaination which was nice and then of course the nice little show of butterflies. He remembered those, though they didn't live down here, they were in Andal. Oh the little look of intrigue and the wheel are turning look as well. After all, think of all the fun he could have. Make those vegetables disappear off his plate.
Though even as she changed her tone some he still held that little look of intrigue. Honestly who couldn't think that was just nifty keen? Then a squint and unsure look, looking back to his father then back to her. Daddy bark like a dog? Nah he didn't think so, daddy didn't let anyone make him do anything. But his look turned to his friend as apparently Zykariel wasn't happy about it. "I don't think he would Zy...Sevilin hates mud and that's what pigs play in." Seemed logical to him...Sevilin was a clean freak. So a comforting pat to his friend's shoulder.
A look back to her then, giving her one of those pleased smiles that he had learned from his parents that spoke of more than just being pleased. "Okie dokie." Yup, looked like it was all self explainatory for him from there and thus there was no need for another so moving on, pulling Zykariel after him. Up next, the half elf.
"I don't hate necromancers, you're one after all. I just hate this particular necromancer." Though she gave a smug little look, after all with his mess up she had the victory now didn't she? "Well if he just stayed in the basement like I said in the first place, he could of saved himself some of that. And I'd be happy to kick him physically to accompany his personal mental kicking." Flashing Malik a grin and giving a little chuckle as she leaned into him. "And he's lucky he didn't get a tantrum out of that." Looking back to the boys and cringing lightly as Zykariel flew off the handle around...it was always a breif tense moment when he got upset...couldn't tell what was going to happen to fragile surrounding objects. "Both of them pick up quick, don't they?"

"Well of course they do, thier elves from some of the finest stock to be bred from."
A slight chuckle at that.
"I'm sure you would. just trust me, what they others well have him do is probably far worse. how woudl you like to be the clean up boy for lord knows what goes on in thier private labs?"
The Illusionist gave them both a nod, and she and the halfelf exchanged a look. well..seems at least she was in teh running, now didn't it. but now for the half-elves turn, and she kneeled down to them as well.
"Well..I'm a mage. not much to really be impressed with at first saying, is it?"
A friendly grin.
"But I can do my fair share of neat tricks and powerful magics. My area is the elements. earth, fire, air, and water. I can make water come to me in rain and storm, and I can harness fire to throw fireballs adn make walls and waves of it. just watch."
So she sat cross legged, and put her hands together, adn then fwoosh, a fireball sprang to life. then two, and three...adn she started juggling them...then tossed on in the air that spread out in an arch before dying out, another on the ground that made a little wall. adn the third and threw stright up and a snap of the fingers and a little rain cloud doused it and the little wall.
"I can throw lightning, adn i can call teh wind. I can make the earth move and the ground tremble and break open."
A pat on teh ground, adn it rolled up under the two boys in mind of a rollercoaster fashion.
"I can use the elemtents to defend myself, and to attack. I can make armor of stone around me, which we call stoneskin. I also use arcane power to do things like teleportation...similar to your father's shadowstep, and sevilin's runes."
Then a lean forward, putting her head on her hands.
"But that's all I can do. I don't have a lot of fancy tricks or neat stuff, I'm sorry to say. but as you get more powerful, the spells get more impressive. like going from making spikes of ice to hurling comets of ice. or throwing little fireballs to making someone just burst into flame...or going from little shocks of electricty to full blown power of the gods at your fingertips lightning bolts from your fingers."

"Look at you stroking egos." Said in that playful manner. It was nice to be able to hold a grudge yet not transpose it onto someone else who didn't need her wrath. A little thinking look from her and she wrinkled her nose and then shook her head. " I don't think I would like that at all...and that's even with a vauge knowledge of what happens down there." Swiping a hand through her hair before resting her head against Malik's shoulder."Hm, he's going to have to learn to read more if he's going to be learning this as well." The boys could read, they preferred to play, but once Piper combined play and reading, she didn't have too much of a problem. At least with Malikhai, seeing as he did have an edge being mentally nutured by a surface elf and their natural need to bond to and teach thier children before they were even born.
Seemed the women had a better handle on this thus far, being able to learn quick from thier comrade's mistake and then adapt to the situation that was presented before them. And with the boy's parents standing by, that was probably a god send ability to possess. Again getting down to thier level was points to begin with. Thus watching as she went through the motions of demonstration, getting those intrigued looks and thier attention, and of course a plop on the ground from not expecting it to move as is did, but he didn't fuss about it, only continued to sit there and listen. Everytime one of them mentioned Malik, he would look back to his father breifly.
Her little proclomation and own put forth feeling of doubt of flashy and usefulness got a curious look from him. "Mommy doesn't do it fancy either. That was fancier than hers." What? She didn't. Ah when little boys spoke thier minds. Giving a little thought to this one, namely because he had been babbled at about such things from grandpa...sometimes he liked to talk a lot on various things. You could learn a lot if you had the attention span to sit there and listen. His own little mind recalled magic, which that discussion had lead to a tantrum in earlier days when he wanted to do it and couldn't because he was so little. But the information was useful now. "But can't those....backfire, "having to recall the word a moment and some other thought from his head, "and cancel out easy?" he vaguely was aware of what the two terms meant...getting hurt and the magic going away, he was just using the right words...or what he thought was the right words.

She ignored the odd feeling she got by the 'femme fetale' compliment. Aella nodded to Onyx. "Yeah, she'd want to see him I'd expect."
Moonstone nodded his thanks to Zell. "Thank you for the offer, Zell. But for now I tihnk we'll put him up in one of the Oracle's rooms. Rusty's a little shy I think." He looked down.
"And passed out it would seem. He might not even have heard your introduction, Onyx."
