Nihilistic_Impact Silent Jay huh. I guess you're right. I was sure you could wish to summon dieties or wish stuff dead. confused Jay, I don't know of any DM foolish enough to summon Cthulhu or any other diety and then have them simply be able to wish them away. That would be anti climatic. well, the first time I played...we had a god on our team and lost. We've come a long way xd

Lol, I remeber my 4th level mage massaquring an entire party of first lvls, I was giving a crash course in combat, first time they won because I never put up my defenses then I show'd them what an emey does, slaughtered them. But yes, I've never gotten beyond 4th, no game has lasted long enough.

I've done two campaigns so far. I've got a level 3 necromancer which I abandoned because he dosen't get any good spell untill later on...and a level 8 dwarven cleric.
these are just practice campaigns until we get the feel for the game. Then we'll hit the advanced stuff and start the official campaign.
I bought the oriental adventures book, and cleric is one of the only classes that dosen't get a subclass. Now we have a Tatooed Monk, a Ninja, Our Sorcerer, Druid, and Ranger. The only reason the last three haven't changed was because the conditions of becoming samurai were too dire. sweatdrop

Raised a human monk from level 1 to 5 in a campaign with a dm I will never see again, one of two people to never die out of 7 players involved at one point or another who never once had a character die in it. Otherwise, I have one active campaign with a guy who reluctantyl dm'ed, where I'm a level 6 elven ranger (bow style) who started at level five. And I've been just lookin for an excuse to use a human fighter with either two b*****d swords or a spiked chain, ever since I got the complete adventurer and found some feats I like. But, I've never played an advanced campaign, we're all casual players with little time for it and all ahve different schedules. So, I don't know that much, but there's all my experience in it. biggrin

My character nearly died upon a spear once, all party members "died" in that battle, it was only the grace of the DM that we lived.

Well, I've actually managed to never have a character die, in five campaings I've played, those being the only ones long enough to be worth mentioning. And my mond was pitted against thirty eight heavily armed goblins at level two, along with a cleric, half dead samurai, a barabarian who didn't have cleave, and rogue. He sealed our escape, and we had no choice but to fight until the paladin coming after the goblins later arrived, and he was plenty strong enough to save us as our old dm likes to make his characters at least five levels above us. To make it worse, each time we killed one, he increased one specific ones hp by the dead ones max hp, and increased it's stats all by one every two or three. We should have died by all rights, I guess, but he decided he was over doing it a little (he said it was our fault for not going back to back though, even though he didn't give us a map and told us there were too many for us to move past of find each other in all the chaos until all but the cleric, rogue, and I were unconcious) and had the paladin rush in as we died and save us all. That must sound pathetic, but considering that it was our first campaing and half of us didn't even own the players hand guide, we really had no idea what we were doing anyway. *Stiiiiiiiiiiiiiill happy face* biggrin

In such a situation alchemist fires and acids would be your best friends, and flank, always flank if your going to get in close, other wise keep moving and firing your bow/crossbow. I have a mind for such things, I helped DM the bad guys.

Slight spelling error there on my part Jay, Korobokuru. From Oriental Adventures: Korobokuru are dwarflike humanoids that live in the barren wilderness areas where they seldom come into contact with humans. They live in simple villages, tending small farms in secluded areas. They typically avoid any contact or involvement in the affairs of the world outside their farms, but occasional individuals, driven by wanderlust or inspired by some contact with human civilization, find their way into human lands. Korobokurus are not found in Rokugan. That's interesting, create an entirely new race for a book where it is designed around the Rokugan lands but not allow the creature.

Wish we could have. It would have been smart, and we'd do better now, but the characters were made poorly, and we had no magic items what so ever. What's more, everyone but the barbarian and rogue had just escaped capture by revolutionaries who overthrew a king in the city we were in, and managed to steal new replacement equipment just before fleeing the city to avoid invading army. Then, we found ourselves trapped in the mountains, according to him with no escape route, goblins ambushing us and getting to point blank before we had time to draw bows, flee or hide. Being immobolized sucks, especially when it means forcing a supportive fighter like monk or rogue to face as many attacks at once as they're tank. It was a real mess, but I'll stop whining. Wonder how much longer I should keep up with the happy faces, it must be well worn out by now, even if they were at Ultima's request. Sort of... yeah, I'm just doing it out of boredom. biggrin
