Hee thanks .. a lot of my hippy friends do the whole head to toe earthy frilly stuff while smelling like they bathe in patchouli. Cliche's are a bit boring though .. and anything aesthetically distinctive and odd is what attracts me. Hehe yeah I bought two party dresses today even though its winter and its been months since I partied xp
I've heard you mention before berkenstocks but I have no idea what they are.

Rajeshri Anjal I've heard you mention before berkenstocks but I have no idea what they are. http://www.birkenstock.com/index_gr24.php Birkenstocks are shoes for people with feet-shaped feet. xd Most of my friends growing up, as well as Ro-kun and my sister, call them "Lesbian-hippy shoes." I think this is because they are a prerequisite for being the lesbian, hippy, art teacher at a high school. xp I have worn them since I was 7, so 21 years of them. I always get one of two styles: http://www.birkenstockusa.com/products/men/sandals/arizona/olive-suede/55102 or my preferred: http://www.birkenstockusa.com/products/men/sandals/zurich/taupe-suede/5046 Hehe, yesh. I like my birkies. I wear them even in the snow.

Oh yeah, I've had similar sandles to those, they're pretty comfortable hehe and I remember all the hippy chicks wearing them with those long layered skirts. I've been lusting after these shoes for months, but shipping fees would break me. Blowfish Canvas Hobbit Sneaker

lol why do you think I've been cultivating friendships on gaia xp
I think I'll treat myself since I'll have heaps of money from not buying tobacco all the time. Just have to figure out american shoe size conversion.
I imagined birkenstocks as huge hiking boots for some reason. I miss hiking .. I haven't left the city for ages.

thanks exxos .. that's a huge help, wow Korea measure their shoe size in millimetres.
hehe infernus .. I like the idea of going old-style and writing actual letters or sending postcards to each other .. its just a matter of who feels comfortable sharing their address .. but it would be awesome to get a handwritten letter from someone .. all I get in the mail is bills rolleyes

Yes, all I get are bills, junkmail, and death threats. Living in relative secrecy is a minor defense. But then again, I am hard pressed to refuse a direct request.
Though Raj would be easy, "To: The Queen of Brisbane; Huge Fortress of Wombat Bones, Barbecues, and Drop Bears; Brisbane; Queensland; Australia c/o the hordes of rabid kangaroo minions."

rofl I remember as a kid being at school camp and terrified out of my mind because the counsellors had told us about drop bears. They also told us about a murderer who would visit camp every year and on the first night, would put an X on the foreheads of his intended victims and the next night would return to kill them! So many kids cried themselves to sleep that night rofl
Queen of Brisbane has a nice ring to it .. although I think there is a shemale at The Beat who claims that title hehe

Dark Empress of Brisbane then.
Though I think the dropbear thing is because eucalyptus trees like to drop their branches on people without notice. So the dropbears were more believable to kids than, "Crikey! Watch out for dat eucalyptus dere, dat ol' sheila's a real ***hole!"

lol shiela. I always hated that colloquialism. Or when guys call their girlfriends 'their missus'. I have the australian sterotypical bogan living two doors down. There's literally six car bodies in front of his house and one boat XP.

Sometimes I put on a Boba Fett helmet and go, "Dangah! Dangah! Dangah! Mahndalahriahns on da loose!"
But I shall refrain from as many colloquialisms from Australia as I can. xd

Hey they were kiwis .. who to us aussie's have vastly different accent but apparently everyone else thinks we sound the same hehe. I find it hard to tell US and canadian accents apart except of course for when they say 'about' XP. When I was backpacking around NZ though whenever I heard that american accent I assumed they were canadian, you don't actually meet many americans in the hostels.
