Damn those reflexes. She listened as her dagger clattered to the floor and cursed once again. Sevilin was right, she never actually thought about what she did before she did it and way too many times she'd ended up in just this situation. Her jaw was clenched so tightly she thought it would snap in two and her eyes sparked immediately with that rage she often had a problem controlling when it came to males. Her desire to prove herself unable to be leashed or controlled led her to overreact to such things and caused her more trouble than she ever bargained for. She couldn't very well reach for her other dagger at this point or he'd just do the same thing. And dammit, it hurt. She met his gaze and in a voice infused with venom said slowly. "He's my pet, I decide that. Now, let go of my wrist."

Nadai shrugged a let her go with a shove, crossing his arms and giving a snicker. "Fine, I see where your priorities lie. And here I though differently, shame on me for letting your reputation in the business proceed you." Thus taking hold of the horses lead rope and again giving a jerk, getting him walking back to his little stall like stable structure. "Then take your pet and go, nothing is stopping you."

She glared at him closely and shook her head. "You should know better than that. While I may have a care for my pet, I don't put it before business." She swiped her dagger off the floor and sheathed it. "Of course if you're not interested in selling anymore, well you can just deal with him all by yourself, can't you? Good luck with that." She raised an eyebrow as the nightmare snapped at him and pawed at the ground, acting rather irritatedly again.

Arthur just stood there, his wrist tied to a pole as he watched Zahara and this drow she was suppose to do some business with got at it and they both looked like they were ready to duel it out or something along those lines; but if he could do it without the male drow noticing he would burn the rope with his fire magic and tackle him or something, just to get him off of Zahara and to stop hurting her with that grip he had. But if he dare do that he could mess up everything she was trying to work for at the moment and then things would go wrong for him in the end. So all Arthur could do was watch as Zahara talked back to the man with a angry tone he had seen one too many times, but the drow wasn't going to cave in that easily and just shoved Zahara away and with his little comments generally stated he wont do business with her anymore, but of course Zahara was smart and just had to play on the whole fact that the man could not control the nightmare at all; and the only thing he could ever do was to give the horse over to Zahara. Shes got a point there...

"A drow would never consider a non-drow a living creature." Warhammer responded to the celric's first question. A very straight forward response.

He turned his head to the naive, "Cedric's reprot will investigate this matter more throughly; thus, it is an assessment. It will give more meaning to the blood spilt."

"I am aware of your Master's personality." Warhammer replied to her selfcommontary. "I do know of his person quite well."

"Lord Malik not trusting King Jiscal is very apparent." He shrugged, what else was there to say about that? Warhammer cared little for Deep Water.

"I was once like you, a healer of broken bodies during strife. But that life has ended." A very stern note. "Now I must think like my former master once did, and find the root of harm before it strikes down my new master."

"Alas, the dead are baried, and the living have been evacuated. Return to you master, and Report what you will to him." Warhammer bowed, and promptly left.

He shrugged. "Nope. I'll just sell him to someone else if you don't want to take him off my hands." A sly look and a smirk. "After all, D'vinn doesn't sell to those she doesn't think worthy, and those that are turned away are bound to look for other means of attaining one of these beauties. So I don't think I'll have to look too much for someone to pay a pretty pile of steel for him." Merely jerking at lead rope in a certain way that seemed to quiet the horse some, putting him back in his stall and then moved to arthur, grasping his arm and giving a hard jerk to effectively break the rope that binded him. Silly surface elves...put even a weak rope on them and they thought they were trapped without any way of escape.

Zahara's eyes narrowed once again, becoming slits. Clearly she had to prove something to him. Walking over she cuffed Arthur hard against his head. "Watch your wandering feet. Go sit somewhere and wait for me to be done." A roll of her eyes then she turned back to the other drow. "How much do you want?" she asked stiffly, crossing her arms. She knew better than to push this any further. If he chose to sell the nightmare to anyone besides her, it could be anyone he'd end up with. She refused to let a pureblood out of her sight. Especially when it currently belonged to someone like him.

Arthur kept on watching and sighed lightly when the drow said he will just seel the nightmare to someone else who may want it since Zahara and Piper seem to not sell to those who they think that are not worthy of having one. Arthur hated to admit it but the male drow played it well, although he was pissed that the man was willing to give away such a beautiful horse That b*****d... Arthur thought but then the drow came over to him and just took his arm and with one hard jerk the man snapped the rope that held him to the pole. The surface elf still glared at the drow as he rubbed his wrist a little bit but when he saw Zahara coming towards him he did not expect her to hit him hard against the head and ordered him to go sit down on the grass, with a small nod to her Arthur placed his hands back in his pockets and walked away from the two drow only to sit down somewhere close to where his steed was standing.

Blood red eyes narrowed and followed the pale skinned elf off. Oh he didn't just glare at him did he? Pulling a dagger it was flung at Arthur with deadly accuraccy, the blade aimed to graze the side of his head in warning to him that the next transgression he got, he was going to feel the full force of a blade. But he was amused with Zahara. "What you think I'm going to believe your little change of heart on it? Now the pet mens nothing when you would raise a blade about it before? Do you think me stupid?" He ran a hand through his hair. "Three times his original price...unles you can come up with something more enticing."

Okay, clearly this wasn't working. Time to change tactics and the only other thing she had was to be real with him. Putting up a front wasn't going to do any good here. Her voice lost the ice she'd fused into it from the onset and she turned to look at the nightmare for a moment before glancing back at him, visibly relaxing. "There's no such a thing as a stupid drow," she laughed softly, "At least not one that would survive long enough to matter." Copying his actions ran a hand through her hair and sighed. "Alright, you're correct. He does mean something to me, he's actually here to help fetch and carry. Someone has to help me transport, right?" She mulled his offer over in her mind and shook her head. "Three times..." That was a little steep. She'd been hoping to get out of this with hardly any effort expended. His next words caused a tilt of her head and the faintest semblance of a smile. More enticing offer? That could mean all sorts of things. "Depends on your definition of enticing, doesn't it?"

As Arthur slowly walked towards the spot he had chosen he had noticed at the last minute that something was coming at him from behind; but before he could do anything to defend himself he could hear the wind move pass his head and then a light sting which caused his hand to fly up and inspect it, when he brought his hand back down he saw some blood not a lot but enough to make him wonder. The elf looked back at the drow and he knew then that the elf threw one of his daggers at his head, but if Arthur dare do anything at all he could get more than just a light graze so without a word he turned back around and went over to his spot. Once he sat down he listened carefully on the conversation going on between both drow, though his ears twitched a little when the male drow said she could get the horse back if she offered something more enticing. Just what does he want? he thought as he watched Zahara with a cautious eye.

He smiled at her and seemed to let down his own cocky attitude self as she dropped it all. A chuckle from him. "Ah and there it is. Your reputation in this business proceeds you...you're not the typical female drow or you'd have these guys sold to anyone willing to pay. Your reputation in your partnership with D'vinn does indeed procced you, Lady Val'Ril." See? When she wasn't trying to front on him, he was a bit nicer. Nadai nodded his head at her as she repeated the price. "Even thieves have to make a semi-honest living, right? I would of charged any of your rejectees five times more the original." Flashing her another one of his smiles, brushing his hair from his eyes and taking on a relaxed posture reaching into the stall and petting the horse, feeding it something that he had pulled from his pocket. "Well, you yourself are an enticing woman at first glance."

Well...that was interesting now wasn't it? She tilted her head and watched him for a moment then that faint smile turned into a full one and she shook her head in wonder. "I didn't realize that was the case or I never would have tried to trick you into believing I was typical. Not a very intelligent move, seems I don't quite live up to my own reputation." She had to give a chuckle at that and then one of her secret smiles even as she pressed a hand to her chest. "Thank you. Though I must ask you to clarify, are you saying that you believe I'm worth three times his original price? Or only something that you want from me personally?"
PostPosted: Fri Oct 20, 2006 6:37 pm

Arthur blinked as he watched both drow quietly, with Zahara now acting towards the male with a nicer attitude the guy was now nicer to her and even talked about her reputation. Though when it got to the point of what he wanted if she could entice him with a better price Arthur's eyebrows shot up at the drow choice of words, he had a bad feeling what the man was asking for and when Zahara gave her own reply Arthur sat back a little bit; would she actually do whatever the man asked her to do? He would just have to see, and hopefully it wouldn't come to the end he was worried about.

"Should I be one to put a price on a woman?" Giving a little shrug at that. "That's not the way we do things in Vesendar." Looking over to Arthur a moment...no he really didn't like how that one loitered around all quiet like. But he turned his attention back to Zahara as she was speaking to him. "Nadai Myghym, first born." Oh look a nice formal introduction. "But good to see you know your follies and can correct them." Leaning on his shoulder against the stable framing. Another somewhat of a shrug. "I'm a simple elf, don't need much. Just a fair amount of money, fair food, fair place to stay, and fair company." Looking at her on that one. Hey he wasn't above trying.
