Kurayami stopped walking suddenly. His eyes staring ahead in an intent gaze. He didn't move, and simply looked at the trees before him. He could feel it...somewhere. In this forest, there was a great deal of pain being exuded from an individual. His golden eyes closed as he began to concentrate. He then opened them slowly. A cave, a woman with him, seemed like the man's wife.

He breathed, standing in deep thought. Should he go and find out what is going on...or would he be making a huge mistake in doing that. It wasn't a supernatural pain, but it was a great amount of both physical and mental pain. He stared in hardened silence at the ground. To help, or to not, it was a hard decision. Maybe a bit more walking would help him decide...

Kurayami stepped forward, considering this, if he wasn't careful now he could begin taking the pain from this 'human' or maybe even heal the man. He wanted to consider this first, maybe even see him if his thoughts pushed him to that. He shook his head slowly, his steps leading him closer to the cave, unwittingly of course, but still closer. Those inside the cave wouldn't be able to know he was there, unless they had an innate ability to find an organic and living thing, as well as what it looked like. Otherwise, they wouldn't hear him, or sense him. He was invisible on those accounts.

Kurayami stops when he realizes he's at a cliff. He looks up at it and sees something. A hole? He blinks and nods slowly turning to walk away. This wasn't his place to butt in. It wasn't for him to enter and save somebody. This man was working his own body beyond normal limitations. He was becoming something more than human. His steps led him from the cliff, from those two inside.

He didn't want to bother, and he had to get away before he healed that man on accident. He finally got out of range to heal. Well...to be able to pinpoint and relaxed. He shook his head slowly, he wondered why someone like that wanted power that shouldn't exist. He sighed slowly again, his head shaking. He would never understand it most likely.

He contniued to walk, his mind on a rumor of a tournament he had heard about...maybe he would join eh? It would provide him with some entertainment at least. Better than most others had...

Silent Jay
Jay heard Rayne's weeping and tried to console her, when all of a sudden he was taken in by a strong embrace. He winced in pain, since the little rib structure he had left was being crushed by Rayne's strength. He fell back, gently kissing her on the cheek and then saying

"Rayne. I never wanted to leave you...but I was plagued by questions. Every night I'd ask my self if...I could be a better friend...if I could be a better fighter..and if I could be a better husband. Every time I came to a conclusion, the answer would always be...yes. So that's why I pulled this little stunt. I wanted...to be better. To be better for the clan...my friends...and you."
Jay looked down in shame as he continued "I'm sorry...but I had to do this"

"Jay?!? A stunt?! How... why would you put everyone in shock like that?!" backing away from him, her sounding alarmed, her words just seemed to flow, "I'm your wife... You.. you know what I have been through! All the pain I have suffered... All the pain you have suffered too takes its path. Being who I am to you, I would only hope that you would know me well enough to have just...

"She sighed, her words flustered. "I know that I would let you go for the time you needed to be away. Never, would I hold you back from doing something far more important than scaring the s**t out of everyone." Either she just dropped the basket, or she was just extremely upset with him. "I'm leaving now. Finish your training, I will await your return after I get some sleep." Even thought she had no idea how to get back to the clan, she just upped and walked out of the cave, storming out into where ever she was... Her hands in a knot, her not really being able to believe that he... did that...

((Gah! Life has been hell in Jersey as of late!))

Tsubasa held her tightly, as he gently ran his fingers through her hair, with the tournament coming up soon and the loss of one of their best fighters, life would be hectic in the next few days, especially with them just now engaged, he smiled at that thought "Pale.." He said to her, kissing her brow softly and hugging her close to him.

((I don't know about Jay coming yet, right?))

She was searching for a good location to hold court. Something that was strong enough to exclude ki systems, and the new one she had recently heard tale of, that "mana" system.
The wilderness seemed an appropriate location. Although she had no animal familiars yet, she was sure to find them here. To make it just like Avalon.

It hurt her head, not using magic for so long, and her ki was at a low level. She twisted a tree to form a place to lie down on, and did so.

She held him for a moment, but had to pull away. "Tsubasa," she said "something bad's happened, and I'm worried."

Kratos wandered the forest at this point, his deed done for the evening. The rest was left up to Jay, his brother. With a sigh he retracted his wings, watching them dissapear into his back. He gave a grunt, and winced. After having the wings for a full 20 years, the strange feeling of having them jammed back into your shoulderblades never dissapeared. So, Kratos began his trek through the forest when he spotted a new face; a woman twisting a tree and lying down. This one was...different. It seemed that she used a different type of energy than the common mana system here. This new source of energy peaked his curiosity as he raised a brow and then began to approach said tree.

An eyebrow moved, but she did not open her eyes. "What are you?" she asked casually, but her interest was peaked. Nothing had approached her since she had arrived.

Me? -Kratos said, wondering how the woman knew of his presence before even opening an eye. His eyes simply closed as a smirk appeared on his face- I'm trouble... - He gave a chuckle at his own little joke before saying- Let's just say I was a human who found a more...efficient lifestyle. Who and what might you be?

"A witch" she answered bluntly. She got up and took a real look at him. Nice enough on the eyes, but definatly not a proper mortal. "What's different about your energy flow? It doesn't even feel like a flow, more like something consuming you- and there's a lot of it."

Your energy flow is different as well. I assume you don't use mana.
-He commented, his crimson locks falling in front of his eyes. Pushing them aside for a moment, he would then say- And I suppose my excess energy goes back to the more efficient lifestyle I spoke of... -he said, his hands still tucked inside of his cloak.- Your energy flow is strange to people of this reigon. Could you be so kind as to inform me what kind of energy you use? [/size

"And have you use it against me? no, it doesn't look like you can use magic. Ki is a energy system which uses your body as a vessel for magic. It can be lost during combat or periods of excessive hunger, and can be replenished by rest or intercourse." somthing was wrong. Had she come to the right place?

"Friends of mine reside here and use this. An elve, a albino, and a man with a fondness for fire. I'm guessing you haven't met them."

You shouldn't make that kind of dangerous assumption -Kratos said, that smirk of his still on his face- Dispite these shackles, I'm more than capable of using magic. Mana is similar to Ki, but one dosen't lose and gain it as easily. Mana can be summoned throughout one's body and used, but one dosen't lose it in combat unless they choose to use it or not. As for your friends, I've met one of them. -He said, pausing for a second to lean against a sturdy tree- And you, of course. Tell me, are you here just because of your friends, or do you have another motive ?

She smiled and stretched out on the tree once more in front of him "I'm here because they'd rather I not be." Her eyes raked across his clothes and body, trying to tell what species he was mixed with. She couldn't seem to get it right.

Ah, I see. So your here to spite them -Kratos said, blinking tiredly a few times under those crimson locks before watching her stretch out on the tree.- I never got your name... -He said as he looked up to her once more and said- I am Kratos.
