I made a spin off creation of Shub-Niggurath. Really it depends upon the environment you design a race in that determines whether or not its ballanced.

Kichiro Oda @Maximos. I know 'nough that I am not some n00b asking people here to make me a character. I've already done most the work, research on Tai Chi and sheet. Oh I dont think you are, I dont really know you to think anything like that. I'd just be worried about a thousand and five "experts" poppin' up. xd

Never really had a problem making races, since they all ended up equal to human. Want something with special s**t? That's what a character is for.

Choosing Gaia as the environment for a testing ground, while creating the race for a novel that has an enivornment similar to Final Fantasy only modern with fuedal structure, instead of future with feudal structure, has complicated some things.
For example, it might be balanced for the novel because there are a core of people that can be powerful enough to move earth, water, wind, fire, etc. with Chi.
However in Gaia, some people make their characters specialized so they are more fair for fighting, where others can create nuclear explosions or an equivalent. Gaia is a tedious ground for creating a balanced character because the environment is so diverse.

I thought it showed the diversity of Lu Bu's Gym well, and as one pointed out, lack of consistancy.

Maybe it's just me, but I see no diversity. Only pain and death.

One is a human that can use materia, but primarily uses guns and swords. Another is demonic that uses primarily guns, another is a type of demon that uses swords. There's diversity.
