*For now, Mastema seemed content to wait. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that Sho would make an appearance; there was equal lack of doubt that he would make his appearance quite noticable*
Than: *Than was also double checking to see if he could think of anything else to add to the scene of the party, but Nana seemed to have thought of everything he did. For a moment, his vision started to blurr again. Than squinted his eye, trying to refocus, but had no success. Finally, for a brief moment, Than's eye sight went completely blank, before it returned to normal* >>......

*It would take another few minutes before the children finally got to the cafeteria door. They hadn't a clue what was going to happen, and didn't really hear anything from inside the room, they were getting anxious. Nana had been looking to the door, in anticipation and tried to put on her best smile. Finally figuring they had waited long enough for something to happen, the doors to the cafeteria were pushed open. Upon seeing..... everything, the children seemed to freeze at the door, unsure of what was going on, or what they should do*

Than: *His reaction was nothing as cynical as Mastema's. Like Nana, he openly offered his siblings a smile. Waving, Than said the only thing that seemed appropriate for the moment* ^.^ Happy Birthday!~

*The children would remain in their place at the door, though now they seemed a little more curious. Birthdays were just as mysterious as anything else. Though once they were finally told, they were a year of age, their reactions might change. Three hundred and sixty five days had passed since they were first born, a year in human standards. Thanatos was more than a year old now, but in comparison he was so much larger then the three before him. They would need to be told at a later date, why Thanatos was so much bigger when he was only a few months different in age*

*Mastema nodded to the three* Indeed. In truth, today's celebrations are all for you. No doubt Thanatos already informed you of Valentine's day..... however, the day also has much more significance to you three.

*An immediate relief would be felt as the knowledge sunk in. They were a year old, a year! More or less unscaved, and in good health, what more could they ask for? Slowly and still unsure, they would file into the cafeteria, the doors swinging shut behind them. Nana seemed to be seated at a larger than normal table, and strange objects littered the immediate area. It was a spectical to behold, until Eecheb spoke next. He had probably said what was on the mind of at least Trilla aswell, if not Micha. The comment would gain light chuckling no doubt*

*Mastema would only raise a brow at the question. Of everything, he hadn't expected that to be a question presented. After a moment, Mastema chuckled still*
Than: *Than smiled and couldn't contain his own amusement at the question. Unlike Mastema, Thanatos wasn't surprised at all. Eecheb undoubtably couldn't wait to grow up and attain all the strength, knowledge, and power that he'd seen adult characters possess. Mastema, Sho, Zeno, Proto.... all of those characters and others had no doubt contributed to the children's, if not just Eecheb's, desire to attain maturity* ^^ Hnn.... because you're only children right now...... You probably don't notice, but compared to one year ago, you're MUCH bigger than you used to be...... you'll be bigger yet in another year.

*Eecheb would of course point out that even if they were all bigger than they were last year, Thanatos was clearly bigger still. Aside from that, they wound wander closer to the table which was set up for the event. This was the first party they had ever seen, even if similar things were known to them, only through books Nana had read to them. The balloons were especially odd objects to them, which reached up to the ceiling and were slighly reflective. The children didn't want to wait to be bigger though, it seemed unfair that Thanatos was so much bigger than them still. Another year? That was a long time to wait!*

Good old Xol, being a complete and utter idiot. The barrier had buckled slightly, but most of that was probably due to the angle and sudden amount of sheer force. A beam, if it hit the barrier, would most likely only serve to strengthen it. At this point, KB could only hope the beam of energy would further cause a rush up from under the lid of the barrier, and tear away much more earth so that his forces may plunge forward and cause chaos. They'd have to run down in, and then start fighting back uphill under the barrier lid before reaching the Citadel streets, like dogs crawling under a chain-linked fence.
Of course, KB was relieved to not be in the center of his own blast, as Xol's energy tore into it. KB had been knocked aside with several tonnes of loose earth, the soil and rock flying in everything direction like a wave of dark water. His frame had no problems standing up to the weight, and a brief and subtle thrum of energy knocked the stuff away from him to reveal his body standing a few hundred yards from the barrier. It was then that he chuckled, as bright flaming orange rifts started to suddenly burst to life about him. Each seemed a bit large, but not as huge as the portals that had once carried in the BG41's. Indeed, they'd come after the barrier was down, when their assault would be most lethal.

Than: *Than just blinked at the statement, realizing that it was true, and had an explanation. Could Than really tell them all the defects and secrets around his birth which lead him to being matured at a young age? Of course he couldn't.... not yet at least. For now, Than would sigh, understandingly, and try to address Eecheb's question* ^^; Well..... I....... I'm.... different, I guess....... I grew up faster than most people..... but it isn't really something I'm overly proud of. Believe me Eecheb, there's just as much you can probably enjoy as a child as a grown up.

*Thanatos would get a strange look from the boy, confused over his last statement. "there's just as much you can probably enjoy as a child as a grown up", as a child as a grown up? So... he could enjoy just as many things as he was now, as he could enjoy when he was older and bigger? But he wanted to be big now, did that mean he'd have to miss out on everything else? It made his head spin, it hurt to think. The boy would shake his head in an attempt to clear his thoughts, though it wouldn't work. Much the same would be seen by Trilla, shaking her head, it was rather over their heads for the time being, or they just didn't want to think about it. To try and distract from such errant thoughts, Nana would speak up again*

*Nana was hinting at the birthday cake, or cakes given that there would be at least one, to two more attending possibly, and no doubt if liked the children would want more, as might the company. Mastema didn't need to eat, and granted the children had never before seen him do so, but this was a special occassion, plus it wasn't like a bit of cake was going to kill him*

Than: *he scratched the back of his head rather embarassed. He hadn't really been able to give Eecheb and answer and he knew it. Maybe one day Than would be able to tell Eecheb all he wanted to know*
Now now, children..... I promise you that you will be just as big as Thanatos when the time in right. You have already grown signficantly in such a short time. Most children take much longer just to attain the height you three already have. Thanatos was merely accelerated in his growth, as you can see. *Mastema would try to offer the kids some consolation, with the assurance that they would have rapid growth in their lives*

*The children would just have to accept that for now, even if they didn't understand or agree. It was all they could do really, in the meantime there were several chairs at the table, so which to chose? The ribbon cords on the balloons were somewhat interesting. Not long enough to reach the floor but they seemed to sway lightly due to movement causing the air to swirl about*

*Nana turned to Mastema upon his words of dread, and would follow along with Thanatos in her qestioning. What had him looking so... construde all of a sudden? All would be answered as Sho shot by and moments later hit a wall. It was likely he had taken out a table if not several chairs along the way, as the room was set up a bit differently than normal. The suddeness of it and all the racket would more or less cause the children to freeze in place again. Just what was going on today? Explosions, tremors, people running into walls, being told where to go and what to do, and who knew what else the day would bring. Slowly the children would peek in Sho's direction, they hadn't even sat down yet and things were already a bit much. Nana was taken a back by Sho's entrance aswell, hoping he was all right, and hoping the children wouldn't be too off put by it. Her own pulse had increased slightly from the sudden shock, she'd inquire into Sho's state of being*
