"Me Wawen!" Waved one resident of Pointy Stick.

"No. me Wawen!" Yelled another.

"All Hails, me Wawen." And he smote the other two so called Wawens on the head with his stick.

"He Wawen!" They pointed to the advisor, who straightened his scrawny shoulders and puffed out his chest.

"Wawen. We makeses wars one the weakers? Makes wars goods or bads sazes Wawen?" The Jyskal asked. This dimuinative king wore a crwo made from some common metal, perhaps bronze of copper. It was not so much a crown, as it was a piece of wire wraped into a wreath, and several pointy stones (the smoothest that they could find) were placed to make it resemble a crown. "Wawen, it rains? Its Hales?"

The problem with their speack patterns was that it confused even themselves.

Wawen stomped his feet, turing in circles and shaking his stick in the air, making a show of looking like he knew what he was doing. "Weakers, weakers!" He cried. "Then he stopped, eyes wide looking from side to side, bent at the waist and looking rediculious in rags and beads. "Wars be good for weakers!" Then he tapped his lip. "No. It rainses yestertide."

"Wars be good for Weakers. WE must attaxes the strongers, so we are the weakers, and we be Vikkys." THe king sounded as he rose triumphantly from his throne (a broken barrel). Then he stopped. "It rainses yestertides... Ways to strongers bad. We no makes wars." So, he sat back down.

"What we doos then?" He asked his shaman.

"No no, we are the strongers! WE attaxes the weakers, make strongers strongerers!"

A nervoud jump. "Wawen means warses be good for tomorrowtide. We wateses till tomorrowtide."

Fin wasn't hard to find, as he wasn't hiding, and any Purian elf who knew a lick of tracking could find him. His hut looked miserable, and Leaf was not impressed. She rearranged some of the weapons about her person, and simply walked in. She felt no need to be polite at the moment.

"Tomorrowstides. Tommorowstides we makes the weakers weakers weak." THe king acclimed. "What we do till then?"

Fin was the only one in the hut when Leaf entered, and he was rather cought off guard. He shifted in his dwarver cuirass, and placed a hand subconsiously on the hilt of his dwarven long sword. It took a moment for him to realize who this woman was, and his thoughts circuled away from youth and into the pressent. "Welcome to my outpost." He said with an aloof tone.

Wawen did his little dance again. "Drink lightment berries!"

Leaf stopped herself from sneering, she had a reputation as an elf with a stone face, rarely let her emotions show. Her eyes scanned the obvious dwarven accoutrements, the contrast between Fin and herself was as clear as night and day.

"An outpost. For the Purians, or for the dwarves?" Right to the point.

"We drinkzes untils the crawl'rs call." THe king proclaimed and took up his cup, which was empty, but took a drink from it anyway. "Me wants more." He called out, hoping someone would bring it to him.

Fin locked his eyes on Leaf's, and without missing a beat replied, "I serve my master, Corellon."

The Jyskal was brought the drink, his cup was filled and the rest present were allowed to fend for themselves. Wawen beat people with his stick to make sure that he got a full glass as well.

Leaf did not break that gaze. "I did not ask about Corellon."

Jyskal was happy, and the drinks flowed, but not so often to the Wawen. Jyskal wanted joy, so it was brought to him. He smiled and made merry.

Fin shrugged, "I am alive because of the good graces of a dwarf. I almost died in service to the Purian Peninsula. I was exiled by my people, and am not a dwarf. Who else would I claim allegiance, but my god." He stood up to look the older woman from an equal height, almost. He was slightly shorter than her. "Why do the Purians seek me out now, when the have had three years to welcome me home from the wilderness?"

"Dieing in the servive of our people would have been honourable." She said nothing about the god, she could not deny such a thing, but she would not bring attention to it.

"The Purians have to much to deal with to take the time for one elf, when the lives of many are at stake. Why did you not make a home with us?"

Malik nodded lightly.

"I can get the Nightmares. But females are not easy to get, especially with Ramoth."

A small chuckle.

"Actually, I was thinking to take him with me to Deepwater. maybe meet Onyx and Moonstone...or Bode. after all, in this place he needs some exposure to other races."

Onyx got himself all preened up, fur shiny, wings free of loose feathers, and headed on his way to Aella's room, hoping they might get to go out to Romeo and Juliet tonight. He thought she might like the story, after all.

The army was ready. the balista were starting to move, and the sound of armored feet marching in step. banners waving, symbols in orcish. the Horde was on the move.

"I tried." Replied the younger elf, "But some people could not accept that I lived, and others died. They would not let me rest, nor mourn for my lost companions. 'A devil is he, who lived while the others perished.' An old woman scolded me, 'It is dishonourable to come home alone from battle, you wretch' was far more common. I was not allowed to report to my commander, I was not allowed to go to the market, I was not allowed to go near anyone my age or younger, for fear of spreading the devil. Thus, I left in exile to find my way, to help those who shun me." Fin spoke with a building rage and defiance, but his eyes showed that he was truly dispaired over his exile. During his talk, he did not cluch his sword, or make any move for it with his hands.

"I serve Corellon, for no one else can truly accept my service." Obviously, non-Purians were not people.

Leaf's own anger dwindled somewhat, and her cold arua receded. She knew all to well the things her people would do. "I wish that I could appologize, and make right the mistake of my people. But i can not account for so many, and fear such an offer would be worthless."

"What do you plan to do now?"

The Penisnula was well aware of the march, little escaped their effective scounts. They preopared to fefend their borders.

Aella was in her room, lounging in a sleep chair. SHe had been daydreaming the past twenety minutes or so, when she had decided to take a break from reading a histroy book. Her eyes were almost closed. she was slowly falling asleep there.

"I think he would be hard to rescue too." A little nod. So Nym was out and Ashlyn wasn't going to work. But hey there was the second option and it was common practice for them to go bug the parents when they had run out of things to do. A look to kitchen staff. "We're done." And thus waited for plates and glasses to be taken and of course someone took a rag to his hands since he dunked cookies with them. Then he slipped down from his seat and looked to Ashlyn. "Come on Ashlyn, let's go." Because she pretty much tagged everywhere.

A point at Zahara. "No jackasses." That was her one business stipulation, she didn't sell to anyone she though didn't deserve her horses. Plain and simple, no buts about it. And that was the end of that argument. Though a little chuckle and a look to Malik. "Oh come now, she knows she's 'Queen of the Horses' here...I think she'll be fine." Though a raise of an eyebrow. "You're not taking my son ot Deepwater." Hey, he was still young and she was still the ever worrisome mother about certain things...and she was never going to be okay with Deepwater after what had happened there to Malik. "Besides, he's too young for you to try and watch constantly and do business by yourself."

Thus waiting for Zykariel before they toddled out into the dinning room, Malikhai walking over to his parents and giving his mother the 'pick me up' gesture, duely being so and sat in his mother's lap with a smile. Yay attention. Of course he knew better than to interrupt conversastion.
