Willa-Wisp Did the earth shake where you are?
Got a very noticeable tremor here (in SC near Charlotte, NC). I was born and raised in Charleston, SC, which sits on the intersection of two fault lines and have felt faint to small tremor growing up. And have experienced the same since moving here in 1979. But this was the strongest I've ever (and ever want to) felt.
Immediately called my son and daughter-in-law at Pax River, MD, along with my son's former college roommate in Alexandria/Baltimore, MD. Happy to report all are well. They all said things shook pretty badly but nothing got damaged and no one they know got hurt. I'm in California. You had a baby shake. We don't start to worry until they're up at 6.5 or higher. smile I felt it, I thought it was my siblings and my siblings thought it was me. I'm in New York. It was my first one and then I ended up watching TV for an hour or so. Got your egg

Just kidding! For us, it was scary as it almost hardly happens here. It was estimated to be a 2.4 shake here ... 315 miles from the epicenter. That's significant when you consider that the quake was 5.8 at Mineral, VA (epicenter). Happy to report it was a very uneventful day today for me. Thank goodness! biggrin
And THANK YOU, ANGEL, for doing the Infirmary last night! heart

And THANK YOU, ANGEL, for doing the Infirmary last night! heart 3.9 last night, and a 3.6 this morning, in San Leandro, which is the Bay Area. I'm about 60 miles from there, and felt nothing. Our ground is already is many pieces and more pliable, than your very hard, and in one piece plates that you have on the East Coast. That's why it was felt further away than it would have been on this side. At least, that's how they explained it on the news.Whatever way they explain it, it was spooky to have the house sway like it did. Scared my dogs, the cat, and me, too!

Was going to say, loudly, "Not Me" doing the babies last night, so I'm glad that Dragon Fairy got the proper credit. blaugh
I'm with Robynn, I've ridden out many earthquakes, and don't get excited until it's over 6.5. I was in the 1971 SoCal earthquake, and the SF quake of '89 and that's enough of that! Anyway, glad all are ok.
Haunting the Jungle for Black dragons and Alt-Vines. Again.Good luck on the alts, Angel! biggrin
And ... redface ... sorry, Dragon Fairy! wink
