Ooh, sounds good. With bigger kitchen it's so much more fun to cook because you aren't bumbing to stuff all the time. xd Also with these food prices we've got lately, I think it's starting to be much more cheaper to do as much as you can by your self. I got to remember ask from my grandmother how she make the rye bread.

Souma The book is called Wonderland King of Hearts. It is presented by Ellora's Cave. They specialize in smut. xd
Lily how do you make ham pie?
Raj, I heart pie too. My favorite is chocolate pie with a thin layer of whip cream on top.

Stop it ya'll I'm salivating a river Xp
I agree Lily, food has just gotten soo expensive, especially meat. Bigger kitchens are awesome, I have a small one cry
Grandmothers are the best cooks! I miss my mamma's cooking, but she kept a scribbled recipe book that I still have to decipher. Still just doesn't taste the same no matter how close you follow the recipe.
Mmmn chocolate pie. I'm making a baked coconut rice pudding with caramelised hazelnut encrusted banana on Sunday. I'm trekking to Chinatown, half an hour by train just to get all the ingredients. Woolworth's is sadly lacking in Asian supplies.

Hmm, how would I tell it in english... well, it has base (covering the bottom of a casserole/mold) made of flour, butter and baking powder. Then I mix some ham, unripened cheese (hope it's the right word biggrin ), eggs and milk together and pour that over the base. Then I bake it in the oven for half an hour.

A friend came over and made me dinner the other night. She boiled cut up chicken breasts in a pot of 1/3 water and 2/3 soy sauce. She added a few spices for flavor and squeezed in 1/2 a lime's worth of juice. She let is boil for about 10 minutes and then let it simmer till the chicken was good and cooked through (about 10 minutes) It was so yummy!!! We had it with white rice. So good!

I think when we are as old as our grandma's we'll be able to do as good food as they can. It just takes a lot of practicing. 3nodding
Meat, flours and milk have become really expensive lately. And what's really crazy is that finland export lots of grain out from our country and then buys foreign grain and flour with high prices to be used into breads and so on. rolleyes Also the gasoline is really expensive. It's about 1,70 euros per liter in here at the moment. It's about 2,60 USD per liter. (Which would be about 10 USD per gallon)

Most of my "cooking" is done in the microwave, lol. Although I have started to use the oven more. Shake and Bake and chicken have become my son's new favorite. Go figure. I still hate to cook ground beef for some reason. I guess I'm afraid I'll burn it or something. My friends make fun of me, hehehe.

Aww! Ken are you a meat and potatoes kind of guy? I love to cook up a good pot roast in the crock pot and have corn or green beans, salad, buttery biscuits or corn bread, and some type of 'taters. With crisp apple pie or ice cream for desert. Mmm mmm good! We usually only eat like that when we have company anymore though, lol. By the time we adults get hungry its already 9 or 10 pm and by then we are so hungry we eat whatever is quick and easy.
