 Mikey slid himself to the front of the stage, next to Roch. He’d donned his furred vest again, and was positively glittering under the lights as he addressed the dance floor. “Yo dudes and dudettes, spending this evening with you beautiful creeple has been a total slam but sadly, oh so sadly, we’ve only got one more sweet tune for you.” He made the saddest puppy dog face he could manage, making a little gesture over his chest that suggested his heart was breaking. “But it’s a good one, and maybe, just maybe, it’ll give you some… Inspiration for the rest of your prom night.” The werewolf winked, grinning widely as he picked up his guitar and, nodding at his bandmates, he began strummed swiftly into a smooth melody, his voice crooning out the lyrics. “Like the legend of the phoenix,

That damned blue blush just kept returning to her face every time Mot offered her praise in one way or another. Placing both hands on her face, propped up by her elbows on the table, she sighed with contentment. Best boilfriend? Best boilfriend. "You know, it's funny. I couldn't even cook a piece of bacon when I first started school. I nearly gave Mort food poisoning..." She giggled, shaking her head lightly enough to make a few strands of hair fall onto her face. "It's a good thing he's a zombie..."

In that hug, and the kiss on his cheek that would have probably dissipated him merely days ago, he felt an aching familiarity. So maybe she did regret her decisions, after all; he knew this was what one felt like when one did. He spared himself the indulgence of running one hand down the side of her head, where goldspun threads made hair that had once haunted his dreams. Then he let her go, and accepted her apology. He watched her until she disappeared. And he realized two things. One; the world had just irrevocably changed. And he had no idea what that meant for any of them. Nothing held him back anymore. But he had no idea what step to take with his newfound freedom, first. And two, he realized only as he picked up the shoe Mjoll dropped and tucked it away safely. Two was that, belatedly, he realized he was going to have to figure out some way to apologize so hard to Olivia for not keeping his promise.

"Yeah, but Cerberus tends to come in groups of three to some extent, so it..kinda makes sense they come in threes..." wait, that statement got confused somewhere...
Never the less, Tomoko smiled brightly as the pair swayed with their silly little dancing (even when the songs changed, that was okay!). That was why prom should have been happening - to have fun with friends. Sure having a date was nice, but it was nice to see people and have a good time. She could wait for eternity before worrying about a boilfriend (or a ghoulfriend, she'd never thought about either, though).
"Siblings are pretty nice. I have thr-..two.." She corrected quickly enough to hope it wasn't too...over the top. She didn't want to explain why she'd thought there was a third one, after all...

"Honestly?" Mot was shocked. Somehow he'd assumed Gene always had a knack for cooking. But then again, that was like saying Mot could always shoot, or always make detailed designs with wood crafting. The reaper had to laugh, feeling bad for the poor zomboil who had her first meal. "Jeepers, Gene. Actually, Xiu accidentally drugged me once when she tried to give me a tea for my insomnia." He said with a grin. "It made me completely loopy before it did its job."

As he averted his eyes from Gabby and a retreating Thackery, he caught sight of a glowing tail and a familiar ghoul in tow, closer to the flame than she usually dared. He couldn't help but smile, as he watched the two fumble about dancing; they were about as skilled as he was, which was not very much. Still, it made him happy to see that they'd made it to prom, and it seemed as though they were having fun. Stranger still, it made him a little happy to be able to have creeple to be happy over... He'd never really experienced that before. Maybe he didn't entirely mind having friends. phantompanther13 Efflo is very happy that they made it chirigami you guys do not need to respond to creeper pony tho xD

There was absolutely no way that Shine was going to miss seeing the band, considering the involvement of both Nahm and Mikey. So she opted to wander over from the Midway for just one quick moment...and was not disappointed. The music was loud, and it took a great deal of restraint to not just turn around and leave, but she reminded herself that she wanted to be here. She really wanted to see them. She really...wanted to...

Snorting a little and then looking around to make sure no one caught her doing something so very not classy at a classy dance, Gene broke into small giggle fits at the thought of Xiu drugging Mot. "Really? I guess we both started as screw ups..." She chuckled again, before snapping at a gnome to bring them glasses of water. Glares were exchanged, but all Gene had to do was shift her hand to get the b*****d to move along.
"Are you still taking her medicine, then?"

Mot laughed, finding Gene's sudden snort adorable in a way. Stay classy, Gene. "Yes, no one starts perfect, right?" It was honestly one of the things that made working hard on a goal easier. No one ever got where they are by innate talents alone. He hoped. The gnome that gave Gene sass was given a dirty glare from the cowboil. Mot may be thin, but he is much taller than you, gnome. The reaper softly shook his head. "No, I don't take it much anymore. I started getting immune to it after a few weeks. So now I only make the tea if I'm very hard up for sleep." He admitted with a shrug.

It was like watching a scarling dance, where the couple was terribly awkward and one could fit another person between them. Olivia remembered where Mjoll had placed her hands and so she repeated this with Andrew. It was hot upon contact, like simply taking his hand but as always it always cooled to relative temperatures for her.
The song was changing around them, the beating getting faster but Olivia didn't noticed at first. There was counting to be done, and her head was occupied with that until the rhythm was down. His question pulled her from her thoughts and her eyes seemed to focus again and blink at him for a moment.
"Oh, oh yes, dancing is fun." She nodded. Was he blushing? Or was he just getting hotter? "I don't normally dance, but I've seen it before." And thats when she noticed the song was different.
"Is there a different dance we're supposed to do with this one?" They were still doing the waltz after all. It didn't seem to match.
They had also been noticed but Olivia was a little preoccupied. Thankfully Bastion was in the clear for now for not bringing back her Horseman friend.
nio love Olivia will be sad when she realizes! meanie! ;A;
sammpai well, I can at least respond in quotes. Oh you creeper. You'll be noticed yourself soon enough ~

"I suppose that is a good reason also." He answered her about the cerberii, thinking about it for a moment before shrugging a little, rolling his shoulders simply, so he wouldn't tug on her arms too much, she was so much smaller than he had been - the fact that she could get him down to her size sometimes was a victory and a half, he was sure.
Ear swiveling at the statement, he wasn't certain if he was allowed to ask about that quick fix up, looking down at her with a somber seriousness, before shaking his head, trying to clear it up. "I have no idea if I have family or not - as I've probably told you before. Orphan at birth, kind of cliche sounding, but that's what I got." He figured, shrugging again lightly as he heard the music changing again, going to slow down a little more, enjoying their little dances.
"Someone related to me could come up and slap me in the face, and I would never been the wisest. S'not like I'm sad or anything, I don't know any better." He figured. "Maybe you could tell me how it is, we can have tea soon, without everyone around here - you've been pretty busy, you only come and harass me about my hat before classes. I want a Tomoko day~" he sing-songed to her.

The idea of Mort actually being glued to her hip for the rest of the night was highly preferable, especially given how for the past few hours, and honestly the past few weeks, he had been terribly busy. To have him with her, especially at the end of such a glorious evening, would be an absolutely wonderful treat. For the moment, though, the witch was content to lean in close and speak softly. "Proud of me? For what? I have not done a single thing, whereas you have helped to organize this lovely evening!" Belladonna smiled up at him, doing her very best not to think of the fact that even he had mentioned she would not loose him tonight. Not tonight, but sometime in the future. Thankfully, two things happened simultaneously that most thoroughly distracted the witch enough that she was able to let go of the unfortunate thought. The first thing that happened was that Alexander came over and actually spoke with a voice that seemed to be back where it had been missing before. The second thing that happened was that a really fantastic song came on. "Hey! Come back here, Mr Handing Out The Crowns!" The witch called, letting go of Mort only long enough to dart forward and grab the other zombie and pull him back. "I love this song! Dance with us!" With a grin she waved her scepter at him, a movement that meant he could not say no because she was Queen. And then because she was Queen, and well because of the song, she decided it was ok to bust some fun moves.

Alex really hadn't gotten that far after harassing his favorite zombie and witch couple, and was only too quick to turn around with an easy grin on his face when Belladonna called for him to come back, giving her a shrug of his shoulders, and opening his mouth to say something along the lines of "What do you want from me? I'm a busy guy!" When she grabbed for his shirt and hauled him back, and then began waving her sceptor at him like some kind of bludgeon. Message received, Miss Queen. Though really, the zomboil wasn't actually busy at all, and with the change in the music selection along with the tempo once more to a song he actually quite enjoyed for it's catchiness, and not for it's content, Belladonna did not have to drag him far before he was dancing his way back towards where Mort had been left turning and giving Belladonna a small bow once he reached the destination, and giving his zombro another, much smaller and innocent looking shrug. Yes, he was supposed to be patrolling. Yes, he had a boilfriend around here somewhere...but the weremantis was pretty much a champion at blending in to his surroundings and becoming as unassuming as possible at any given moment. Alex had a quick glance around for him, hoping if he could catch sight of the boil, he might be able to coax him into joining them on the dance floor for another song, though this time without the influence of a drink to spur him into ridiculous action. ramenli in case you want more dancing idk alex is everywhere
