Shiori nodded, but she didn't so much as look at the bottle.
She simply sat down on the bed, thinking quietly. "I think he'll come back." she whispered quietly. "I hope so, at least. I can't quite stomach the thought of anyone getting hurt...."
Which was true, she wasn't lying about that. She was having second, third, even fourth thoughts about doing this to Aled. Something about his eyes calmed and unnerved her all at once.
"They're going to have quite a battle ahead of them." she watched his feet, unable to hold his stare any longer. "But they have just as many tricks up their sleeves as their enemies, I don't doubt."
This was starting to feel awkward for the woman.

"Wait." Shiori shook her head, quickly moving to his side. "Wait.."
She gently caught his sleeves with her fingertips, looking up at him. "Stay with me... I enjoy the company...."
She rested her head against his chest.
She wouldn't even consider taking the medicine, wouldn't look at it. She shirked the subject entirely.
"You look exhausted yourself..."

Shiori shook her head. "It doesn't agree with me." she protested quietly. "I don't need it.... You shouldn't worry about me. What you need to worry about is taking care of yourself... Your enemies are far too dangerous for you to be so tired."
She led him to her little couch, sitting him down and pouring him a cup of wine. "Relax." she soothed, starting to rub his shoulders. "Just relax. They're going to be alright, I know it.."

Shiori looked deeply saddened by this plea. "I haven't felt better though, Aled-kun..."
Even if it had been barely a week, she felt much better without the pills. It was odd, in fact.
"Are you sure they're alright??"
She reached out to take the bottle, examining it closely. "No one would've tampered with it??"

Shiori sighed, examining the pills one last time.
She didn't have a good feeling about it, but she did as he asked, swallowing it down with a sip from his glass.
"If it makes you happy...." she leaned her head on his shoulder, although she wasn't very pleased at all. "Then I will from now on."
She closed her eyes, growing quiet for a while. "Why do you like me?" she asked suddenly, "Why are you pursuing me so stubbornly?"

Shiori blinked in shock.
It had been one thing to be kissed by Aled, but to hear that....
"You hardly know me... how can you be sure??"

Shiori didn't know how to react to that.
Kami-sama, if only he knew....!
She kissed him gently, trying to push those thoughts to the back of her mind.
When she pulled away, she refilled his wineglass, stroking his cheek gently. "I trust you." she whispered, which at least wasn't a lie. "I always have."

Shiori blushed brightly, smiling softly. "I hope you know I mean it with the utmost of my heart." she giggled slightly. "This is so strange for me..."
It seemed like she would've been a spinster forever.
Naturally, she was a good hostess and refilled his glass yet again. She poured herself a glass this time, slowly sipping on it.
No way in hell was she going to be completely sober for when she had to hurt him.... Every moment she spent with him, every little kiss made her ache at the very thought of it.
But he wanted her to be healthy, he said so himself.
"I could always tell you never lied to me." she admitted after a while, already tipsy off a single glass. "Your eyes were too kind.... Hard to be mistrustful of the honest, don't you think?"
