:::Then, as though on cue, Cora walks from the guest hall, curious to see who's voices were coming from the main room.
She entered to see her lover, and a woman she'd never seen before standing there, dressed oddly compaired to either of them. Something seemed strange...but she couldn't put her finger on it.:::

:::Kara turned to see who had entered. All thoughts of Cora flew from her mind immediately. Without hesitation, she reached to her right hip and pulled from under her jade studded green loin cloth, an apperatus that was strange, but obviously a gun.
She aimed it at the blonde woman, dressed as an Omegatropolis Officer:::
Freeze, pig.

*Alex's eyes went wide at Kara's reaction and he immediately jumped up, standing between Kara nd Cora*

:::Cora stood very still. Old protocol rushing back to her suddenly. What to do when a gun was aimed at you. Particularly, an officer would stand still, because rebels had yet to find guns that could fataly wound him or her. She wished Alex would get out of the way, because the gun WAS potentially fatal to him. She decided to just try and calm everyone down:::
:::She donned a faceless expression, and spoke very calmly:::
Alex, it's alright, you can move.
:::Then she spoke to the woman:::
I've done nothing against you. Who are you?

You don't know what's going on here Alex. She's here to kill me, and my brother. This b***h is from my time. She's from the enemy side, and the figured out a way to follow the prince and princess to where they're most vulnerable.

There's zehropheryl-arsenic in this gun, Tropo. It could kill either of you just by breaking the skin. The Terran's created it to keep us safe from YOU.

:::Cora yelled angrily, repremanding him for saying such a thing. She was starting to lose control of the situation. She realized that the chemical this woman mentioned translated into a chemical combination that, seperated, she could have survived, but together really was deadly to her... but as for what this woman was saying, it made no sense:::
Ma'am, I don't even know, who you are. I don't even know what a Terran is. You come from a very different time from me. I don't mean you any harm, I swear.

:::Kara was also starting to lose confidence. The woman wasn't talking like the Tropos did. Her hair didn't look like Tropo hair. And if she was really there to kill her and her brother, then the cop was lying about not knowing what Terrans were, and Tropos, for some ******** up reason, didn't lie. Ever. But then she thought, it must be part of the tactic. But she knew Alex...? Had this cop been there for a while, waiting for a chance to kill her?:::
You're lying.
:::She thought quickly. If this woman really were on a mission to kill her, she wouldn't give a damn about Alex. Kara would avert the aim to him, and the Tropo would take the opportunity to strike... and Kara would know how to retaliate:::
:::Alex was facing her, so she quickly reached out with her free hand to pull him towards her from behind his waist. She held him into her, and put the barrel of the gun to his neck:::

*Alex's breath caught when Kara grabbed him, and he squeezed his eyes closed when she put the gun barrel to his neck. He wasn't afraid of dying, he just really didn't want to be dead. He found his voice, but it came out as barely a whisper*
Go ahead, Kara... Just.. leave Cora alone. I love her, you understand. If you kill her.... I swear to God....

:::Cora could stand it no longer, she lept from the spot, pressing something on her wrist. Then she focused deeply on the spot where Kara's finger was. She had been too paniced to think of it before, but now it was clear:::

:::From that point, Kara was determined to focus on nothing but the actions of the cop... but what Alex said, shook her again. Why did he keep calling the cop by that name? Was it a cooincidence..?:::
:::But the thoughts got in her way, exactly as she had not meant for them to do, and she realized that the cop was headed toward them already. She meant to pull the gun away from Alex's neck, and toward her attacker, but she felt her finger stick to it's place, as though it were frozen in the spot. The sensation lasted only as long as she had wanted to move it, but the delay had proved to be signifigant in the outcome. Just as Kara swung the gun in the Tropo's direction, the cop had reached her, and was pressing a neuro-nodule to her neck. Kara pulled the trigger in a final effort, even though she knew at that moment, she was as good as dead, but at least, so was the cop:::
