purplekitty And I get the stuck up business convention guests. Who will throw their credit card at you and ask if you can check them in at lightening speed. dramallama I am ever so grateful not to have to deal with those upon check-in, but they inevitably cause me trouble at some point during their stay with their overly condescending attitudes and resentment to the fact that they are not the only paying guest in the hotel and are, thus, not the only guest entitled to use hotel amenities like the pool or the fitness center.

Hello everyone! I am brand new to the guild, live in the Titusville area, and would like to try and make it to some of the meetups. n_n
Sounds like it would be interesting/fun to meet up with fellow Gaians in the area. How many do you guys normally have, or do you have them at all anymore? [Things seem rather deserted within the guild, so I was curious as to how many people are still up for this kind of thing]

We still have meetups every now and then. 3nodding Sometimes it's just hard figuring out a time when everyone can make it.

Vickicat Hi! We still have meetups every now and then. 3nodding Sometimes it's just hard figuring out a time when everyone can make it. Awesome!
I am sure it can be very hard to find a time where a decent amount of people can attend. Everyone has a different work/life schedule.
My schedule is pretty standard. My Sundays are completely free, and I am usually free Saturday afternoons. n_n I work during the week and am about 30 minutes outside of the Orlando area, so anything Monday-Friday would be difficult for me to attend.

Anyone working overnight shifts is "Free" everyday, but ends up sleeping the whole day anyway. I work 11pm-7am Thursday Night through Tuesday Morning.
Weekends are not impossible, just hard for me. It is especially difficult to get Sundays off from work. No one is allowed to take days off unless someone else in the department volunteers to cover the shift. Of the two people that are off on Sundays, my boss will NEVER cover for anyone and the other guy is almost always covering for someone's days off already. sweatdrop
If it's a Sunday Morning Breakfast, I am more likely to make it, but evenings can be tough because of work.
Although... I could have sworn that there was a possible breakfast meet-up idea... I think it was on the table... somewhere around here...

I am assuming you do not have weekends off? What kind of volunteering? ninja At the big cat rescue I mentioned in my introduction post. n_n I've not been able to go for the past two weekends due to family, but I go back this Saturday.
@Zelexia- I look at overnight shifts the in the same light as a day time shift. I work during the day, so technically I am "free" every evening; but odds are I am tired and don't want to do anything then. [I have an old persons sleep schedule]
I could probably do a Sunday Morning Breakfast event, so long as it isn't ridiculously far away. n_n

I am assuming you do not have weekends off? Nope, and I probably wont for like ever cause of my seniority. I do have three days off though, weds-fri. So thats fine with me. xp Oh yeah *looks at Zel's post* I suppose I am free, but I use that free time to sleep during the day. pirate Yes a breakfast meet up sound good! I'm moving next week so it may have to be the week or two after.

We usually do meetups in the airport side of Orlando (rather than Apopka and such, closer to you at least), but I'm guessing you know that I-95 is usually a ******** at the am, and 528 can be as well. I guess there's always I-50, but I don't know much about it.

That road is the worst.
I go SR46 to head towards Apopka and Altamonte, and always take 528 to go towards any of the malls in Orlando.
