*There were nine left, another six fell as a sword embedded itself in the wall and Eclipse stopped to pull it out. Aganth sliced the heads off another two and Vlad split another down the middle.* "They're gone... but I can tell... That's only the beginning. I can feel hundreds more... Varying in size and shape... It's only going to get worse..."

*Just then, Chronos appeared at the opposite end of the room.* "Hatta? Ah, darn, I was hoping to help these guys... Well, I'll be off then. It'd be a bad idea to stay this close much longer..."

*Chronos froze them in place before disappearing. This group was eight legged, each leg was as sharp as a scythe, and the faces were humanoid, hideously disfigured with a snakes tongue, four eyes, and black, fungus like protrusions coming out of its head. Its abdomen looked like it was covered in metal plates. Each looked to be nine feet tall. There were 78 of them in all, and behind them, there was a twenty foot creature, like the rest except that it had twelve legs. They were all frozen in place by Chronos. Eclipse walked through and chopped off the legs of all of them. they fell to the ground, and unfroze, each giving one pained cry before having their life end.* "Alright... What's next?"

"Ugh. I've got a special fate for these." *Eclipse disappeared again, and this time, a magic wave sliced through all the creatures, followed by a dozen more, surrounding them, collecting them together, and then shredding the entire group. Eclipse reappeared again, a black aura fading from his hands.* "I just want to fight the last one... whatever it's become."

*It seemed like only moments later they entered a huge cave in the center of the pyramid. In the middle was a beast. It looked like a dragon... but it wasn't quite. Its scales had melded together in places. Its eyes were sealed shut. Its wings had decayed from lack of use. Its bones showed through its skin... and Eclipse recognized her.* "No... Of all those who it could have been, why her?" *It heard him, and its head rose. That's when you could see it. There was a chain, obviously enchanted, hanging around her neck. A pendant hung at the bottom, gold, and still shining because of the enchantments placed on it millions of years ago.* "Millions of years... and this is where you've been... If only I had gotten here sooner, maybe... It seems I have no choice... Goodbye, Arthenia. Everyone, stay back, this is my fight." "Eclipse... I'm sorry." "Says the King of lies and the lord of deciet." *And the both of them took off. Arthenia had slowed with the ages of waiting. Eclipse began to weaken her immediately. He slashed at her neck, hoping to end the battle quickly, and he succeeded. Her head rolled on the floor, the life leaving her.* "Rest in peace... Dear Arthenia..." "I may not be able to say much... but I can tell you, she will. She is not destined for my domain, and even as we speak, her soul is purifying as it floats to the stars above." "... Thank you..." *He picked up the pendant off the floor, which immediately shrank to a size that would fit around his neck. He put it on and returned to human form.* "Let's go."

"She... She was the one I loved in one of my earliest lives... But... One day she went missing. She was always an adventurous one... I searched for a while... but with no success. Eventually I gave up..." *At that moment, he felt something.* "There's a problem... Everybody get close, we're teleporting."

"We'll find out soon." *And they all disappeared in a lightning flash. An immeasurably small amount of time later, they reappeared right by the house.*
