Arthur barely heard the sound of a baby crying over the sound of his lightning blot whizzing through the air, making that sizzling sound that it made when launched from his hand. But he knew when he heard that faint cry that something was going to go wrong, and boy was he right, Zahara was distracted long enough by Sevilin exiting with her son that she took the lightning bolt directly; when Arthur noticed what was going on he quickly stopped the spell but he did enough damage to piss the drow off as she slowly got up from the ground to grip the whip that she had dropped once his attack made contact with her. Then with another snap of her wrist the sound of the whip flying through the air could be heard and the effects were felt, a small grunt of pain could be heard followed by the sound of his katana falling to the ground; great there goes his weapon, but h got a nice little wound as a reward for pissing Zahara off. This is just great... he thought as he stood there watching the drow, he knew for a fact that if he were to dive for his weapon she would either smack it away or smack him to the ground then smack it away; plus the distance between them was enough so she wouldn't have to worry about him charging her as long as she had her whip. Just what could he do? Then with a small smile Arthur opened the palm of his hand as an idea popped into his head, in the center of his palm a flame was form them slowly it stretched outwards and curled around his feet until it was long enough like Zahara's whip, and with a sharp flick of his wrist Arthur made the fire whip fly towards Zahara with the intention of grazing her lightly; he didn't want to burn her just distract her long enough so he could get his sword back.

Meilikki smiled. "If yo wish to leave, simply sell the dead to the next owner. I simply want to ensure that you have a place to call home for as long as you wish." She stood, taking Taratheil with her. She had some things that would require her attention soon. Thekitchens would need to speak to her about that nights menue. "I will send Taratheil back in a moment. Would you like me to send tea, or some other refreshment?"

Deidrich bounded up the Cedric, now that Onyx had foucsed his attention on someone else. The big dog hopped, hooked his front paws over the lefs shoulders and liked his face. "Cedric! It's you!"

She chuckled nervoulsy. "I'm afraid of pain." A simple answer, if a comberson one. A fear of getting hurt restrained her, or made her lash out in fear. She could not predict which it would be.

Aella sumersaulted backwards, pivoting easily on her bare feet, being carefull to move slow to keep the bracers from tripping her. The thrusts were avoided for the moment. She closed here eyes, threw her staff in the air, grabbed a fist full of sand and blew it in Onyx's face before the staff fell straight up in the snad behind the vah.

"That's true...though there are ways to get around some things and what not on that part, rune mages are tricker than they seem really." Giving a chuckle at that as he remembered and incident where Fianna actually took the lengths by runic means to test his loyalty as a lover to her. It was quite the experience and he had passed with flying colors. Though a very funny thing to look back on.

"Could always try to route the population. If anything, humans are fragile creatures, probably more so mentlly than physically. They feel repressed and they feel discontent...which means either a revolt or moving onto a better place. You could always make your own city-state domain more appealing than Deep Water. A kingdom does not benifit if there are no people to populate it to a sustaining level."

Though a nod at Malik's own musings he was right on that. "Depends if someone is even brave enough to challenge you. After all, this place has faced more than one assuly already and you have always come out on top. News travels, that could work to your advantage...problem with lashing out is backlashing, so I would avoid it." One of those idea smiles. "You could always mock an assult on yourself, let news get out, and then you have a bit more reputation."

She raised an eyebrow at the appearance of the fire whip. Did he really think he could use it correctly? A whip was hard enough if you didn't know what you were doing, add in fire and it could quickly become disastrous. Replacing her own whip at her waist, she watched the fire streaking towards her. But all she did was grin at Arthur and use those quick reflexes to run and skid beneath the length of fire, coming up in front of him. She smiled at him for a moment before she spread her legs and then very quickly hooked his legs with her own, slamming her leg forward over the backs of his knees. Withdrawing she easily lifted her leg and kicked him. Depending on how far he fell, she could either hit his chest or his stomach. "Come on Arthur. Give me all you got."

'No, but thank you." Celeste said, as she turned in her seat to signify that she accepted that Meilikki wished to have some time with Tarathiel. Celeste was placing a lot of trust in Meilikki, more than most people could fathom. She felt a gentle uneasiness inside her, the same feeling she had carried for just over a year now. She loved her prince dearly, and could not help but wonder what would have happened should she and Elric been successful in their hunt? Surely, more of her people would be alive, but not the prince. Was one life more valuable than another, or was her time amongst humans and hunting an enemy so relentlessly causing her to experiance such doubt. SHe wanted to be held, she wanted to be told that every thing was the way that it should be. The people she wanted to speak to most were murdered many years ago. Her mother and her father slain, in battle, by the drow. She felt a loneliness only paralleled by the torment she believed her prince to have endured.

Cedric watched the movements of the combatants, trying to keep his mind from analysing the situation because he was still in battle mod from his short duel with Talon. Then, the three headed dog greeted him in his friendly manner. "I hope you were not drinking out of the toilet again, before you licked my face." The elf chuckled, not really carring but teasing the dog about his fowardness. "How are you?"

Arthur was sure she would try and dodge it to use her whip against him again, but what he didn't expect was that she actually placed her own whip back at her belt and then decided to use her own quick reflexes in order to dodge his own attack with that grin on her face; but before he could even try to deafend himself from Zahara's next attack she was standing right in front of him with a smile on her face, then with her reflexes she used her own legs to knock him down; pretty good moves on her part. But Arthur knew what was coming next, everytime a person did this move they always had to kick the person they knocked down in order to get the full effect of this technique, his father had done this to him many times. So Arthur let himself fall down as fast as he could so Zahara's foot would reach his chest, and when it came close enough his quickly moved his hands so they caught her foot in a embrace. With a small smile Arthur's one eye locked on Zahara's for a moment. "Of course I will Zahara, I just hope you can do the same..." And as quickly as he could Arthur twisted Zahara's legs as he stood up which made the drow spin around and fall down on her back hard, as she laid on the ground in front of him Arthur locked her legs with his own and fell forward, keeping his legs from hitting her in the stomach, as he used the movement to give a palm strike to her chest which would cause her to lose her breath, allowing him to attack her even more.

Dirt blinded but that didn't bother Onyx too much other than irritation.

"But pain is good. lets you know your alive."

After all, Onyx didn't need to see to find someone or something. his sense of smell and hearing helped with that. which ment with no eyes, he did hear the staff hit the ground behind him. which got a tail around it and prying it up, his hand catching it and tossing it aside.

His nostrils flared, and his ears swiveled, while he wiped sand from his face. the smell of sweat..though Aella's smell was always rather nice to him..gave at least an idea of where she was distance wise, ears did thier best to pin a location. and his dagger flew, hitting ths sand and sticking up at an odd angle, the idea to trip her while she was backing up.

Malik grinned lightly.

"Interesting idea. But it has to be believeable. Orcs aren't impressive..it woudl need to be something more..potent. What do you suggest the enemy of this little false assault be?"

She nodded and smiled pleasantly in that assureing way of hers, taking Taratheil to her rooms on the second the floor. She set the elf on the bed while she rummaged through a hope chest at the foot of afformentioned bed.

"My father," she told him, "or, what I had called my father at the time, gave something like this to me when I was small." She stood and handed Taratheil a wooden sword. "He said soemtihng aobut learned hand eye coordination. But that's hardly any concern of yours, you should just play with it as you will."

She smiled, knowing the elf would probably have prefered a real blade, but that would not have been very responsible on her part. "And if Celestte takes it away from you, I have another."

Deidrich's ears wilted. "I have learned better than to drink from the low basin. Mistress was not pleased." He let himself fall to the ground, his tail wagging and shaking his whole body. "I am happy, Cedric. because now you are here!"

Darn, the staff was moved. Oh well, she hadn't had to much hope in that move anyway. A quick step backward did take her over the dagger though, and she fell bakward into the sand. She kkicked up a small sand devil to hopefully confused Onyx a moment while she got herself up. It also did a good job of coating her skin and hiding her scent.

"Pain made me want to die."

Zahara hadn't expected Arthur to clue into what exactly was going to happen but he had. She felt him twist her leg which translated to her entire body and she slammed into the ground. Before she could move though, his hand came down right across her breasts and she actually screamed as pain radiated along the tender flash. Smacking him hard in the face she pulled her knee up to get him right in the stomach and then rolled so she was on top. "That hurt you jerk! i just finished breastfeeding." Thus while she was straddling him she began smacking him in the face before she wrapped her hands around his throat. "I can give all this and more Arthur."

"Well depending on how you would want to do it exactly, or rather the effect you want on those who will be told, intelligence has to be factored. Sevilin and Fianna could indeed give you the help you needed in that area, be it putting something like a dragon under their control or the like." A snap of his fingers.

"There's a game that rune mages play. A war game if you will, played on a board with pawns, yet there are actual players who are controlled in accordance. They do it as a training exercise in control. Now these beings are nothing more than solidified energies given physical appearance, but it's convincing."

"You think she'd be alright down here?" A little almost guilty look. "I haven't told Malik about her. Not that I haven't meant to...we've both just been so preoccuiped later it keeps slipping my mind.

"I'm alright down here, she would be fine too...and she's young so she would adjust easier. Besides dear, she's starting to get to that point where stories about you just aren't enough. It would be short periods, and she's old enough."

Tarathiel accepted the gift, and quickly began looking it over, investigating its every facet. With moments, he like every other child, had figured out which end was the one you stabed people with. He swung it gently. "Thank you, Meilikki-chan." Improper use of the Japanese suffix.

Cedric patted each of the dog's three heads in turn. "It is always a good day when I am around." He said, paying duel attention to the dog and the skirmish. "The basin sounds like it woudl provide a strange stimulus for your tastebuds. I prefer a tasteless water over any flavour or juice." Clear, unsoiled fresh water was literally a delicacy in the underdark. "What have done since the last time we spoke?"

Well the ending affect of him actually being able to strike her chest with his palm was not what he was expecting, what he was excepting was her losing her breath not allowing her to gain more and scream at him before smacking him hard in the face. Then before he could snap back from the slap across the face he felt a knee to the stomach then in a sudden movement Zahara was on top this time yelling at him how she just finished breast feeding before slapping him over and over followed by her hands locking around his neck. "Well so can I." He grunted to her last comment and forced his though the gap left between her arms and broke the grip on his neck and spread them wide as he gripped her wrists tightly. "I didn't know you just finished breast feeding your child! Besides that was suppose to knock the wind out of you Zahara! It's not my fault your breasts are so tender okay?" The one thing Arthur hated was being yelled at for something he didn't know about. Then he brought his knees up and shoved them hard into Zahara's back allow him to quickly push forward and allowed him to be on top again, and this time he kept both her legs and arms pinned down; and just incase he kept his head a little bit away from hers so she couldn't head but him.

By now..the dirt was out of his eyes, and the dirt devil didn't do much. one of the advantages of wings, he just jumped clean over it, and came down right by her hand going for a palmstrike on her chest, though being nice enough to slow it down so it didn't do any real harm, while his tail picked up his dagger and tossed it into his other hand.

"Pain can do that too. but there is pain in everything. even now. your rear hurts from falling on it. my eyes sting from the dirt you threw in it. but we continue becuase we enjoy the time spent even in our mock fighting, adn it helps us get better."

A twitch of his ears.

"Oh lord I'm starting to sound like an elf. I've been around Cedric and Elric to long."

"Really. chess with energy peices that move in accordance. that sound quite interesting. not only would it work, but it's something interesting to watch too. Not to mention give Fianna and Sevilin something to do with eachother that doesn't involve insults and threats."

Leaning forward, a grin again.

"Any speical requirements for this? runic boards or something?"

What happened when you pissed off a drow? Well Arthur was about to find out. "How could you not know? I've been breastfeeding for the past six months Arthur! She found herself beneath him with almost no effort on his part though it wouldn't remain that way for long if she had anything to say about it. Arthur thought he had her down, but what he didn't realize is she was well versed in magic and had many ways out of the situation he'd plopped her in. And now she was going to pay him back stroke for stroke. Therefore she used her magic to hit him right where he would be most sensitive, between his legs and then shoved him off of her and sprang to her feet ready to go at him again. Too bad she hadn't thought to bring the daggers she'd been using down or he could have used those and she could have squared off against him in a small blade fight. That might have been fun.

"And if you so wanted it to be, they could merely mimic the aspects of the game to be onesided, or of course to keep them on opposite sides and make it look rather real, put you between them and then let them have thier fun." A shake of his head then, though grinning seeing as he apparently had Malik's attention. "No, the rune mages set it up all themselves. Though I would suggest that they could have a place to conduct things where there would be nothing else around them that could siphon off thier energies. This kind of thing is actually quite stressful and challenging to rune mages, and they usually finish up bloody."
