The Oracle laughed. What a wonderful time she was having. Sending people oput on errands so that she might answer them a small, trivial question. In less than a day her little home was pre-pared and stocked and she had a constant flow of people asking for favors. In front of her now sat a gaurd who was asking some questions that she was nto all that sure she would answer.

"You need to know where the "blue elf" has gone do you?"

"King's orders."

"That' doesn't mean I'll tell you. You're king has no power over me."

"While on the land of Deep Water, law sates that you are a Citizen and are therfore accountable..."

"You tried a line like that with this blue elf, and it didn't work on him either, now did it?" A rude, cocky smile. She hadn't had this much fun in years.

"Damn it woman, I've brought you your pig's heart, give me what you owe!" He slammed a fist on the little wooden table in front of him.

She smiled faded. "Very well." She didn't need any kind of ritual to see the future, no spoken word or object. She saw everything with her blind eyes. "To find the one you seek you must find the ones you don't. Those seen as beneath you know and can lead. Find those beneath you, and you will find your blue elf."

"That riddle does not help! I paid the price, tell me where he is."

She smiled. "You asked how you could find him. You aught to be more careful with what you ask." She waved a hand. "I might have lead you myself, but I am blind."

"Give me another task, and i will ask the right question."

She lifted her hands and shrugged her shoulders. "Sorry, only one question per customer."

Dreadmore sat at his desk looking thru a nearby bookshelf.
Infront of him he was fixing his goggles.
He saudered some pieces together so the special designed gems he forged thru alchemy would stay on.
He put them on and they were good to go.

Malik nodded lightly. then gestured a slave over to him, smiling softly at Piper's affection, kissing her gently.

"Put up banners. I want them easy to see from a ship. two symbols. first, the symbol of Innoruuk. below it, the symbol of Lloth. that shoudl get his attention."

Then back to Moonstone.

"Tell me about this girl you picked up. I'm curious as to what posessed your brother to pick this girl up and attempt to bring her to my home."

Onyx opened the door, hearing Bode, and came out, jogging a bit to her and hefting her up, a little spin and hugging her.

"Glad your safe, sister."

Then a darker look, somewhere between a frown and a scowl.

"I coudln't find the ship, they took Ironsides and Whirlwind. but we'll get them back, don't worry. I'm not giving up on that lizard or her anytime soon. We'll just have to see if Malik knows something. he's a drow, he might know some way to help."

Bode squeeled and giggled when she saw Onyx. "Brother!" It felt so good to be in his hug again. She threw her arms around his neck and squeezed as tight as she could.

"Brother Moonstone brought me home, but I don't remeber how. And then piper gave me this dress, cause I was all dirty." She too lost her smile at the thought of Ironsides. He had been a really good freind...

She had been about to say that she didn't care if the woman came back, but then she remebered what Piper sauid about hurting the woman's feelings. "I don't want....to give uo either."

Moonstone took a few more bites of meat, listening to the unfolding plan. "Her name is Whirlwind, and dressed very much like the slaves you have here. Although I must admit, she looked much more ragged and...worn you might say. Almost like she had just about given up on something." He shrugged. "I didn't get much of a chance to talk to her. Onyx just said she was a former slave."

He rubbed his chin a bit. "Onyx might not show it, or even see it himself, but he has a heart. He doesn't like to see people suffering," he recalled a time when they were young, when Moonstone had taken the raven item from Onyx to play with..."Nor does he like it when sometihng is taken from him."

A shrug. "That, and he's a flirt."

Piper rolled her eyes and straightened her posture, one hand going to rest in the small of her back the other hooking two fingers under her collar to tug idly. "Yeah...invite the drow...whee, can you at least let me pick a room to hide out in first?" Didn't much to relish the thought of acting the part of little surface pet in her own home at all. Oh yes, if he was going to be going about being inquisitive in this direction then she was going to continue being difficult with him about anything she could think of. She clicked her tongue and sat down in a chair, undoing her bandanna a moment...gods her ears hurt.

"I have no intention of hiding you, Piper. or treating you like a common slave. I don't want him to think of me as just another drow. I want him to be possibly leery, or surprised. I want him to wonder if I've managed to ally myself to powerful surface elves. then he might be more inclined to listen to any proposals we might make."

A slight grin.

"The thing to fear most is what you don't know."

Onyx smiled lightly, and patted her on the head, adn headed down stairs, still not in the best of moods, but at least he'd stopped cursing nad being overly violent. be Moon woudl be able to see the anger seethign behind those eyes, the need to find and kill what took Ironsides and Whirlwind away from him.

"Afternoon. Lunch time?"

A raised eyebrow from her. "Powerful surface eleve...I thought to the common drow we were a rather softhearted, shameful, aloof group..." Though she couldn't deny that he had peaked hre interest. What, did he intend to prove with her...she wasn't that intimidating by many standards. "Have to say this is a little change from your normal plan of action..." Then a look over to Onyx as he joined them, carrying Bode with him.

Moonstone frowned. He liked the idea of the drow comming here about as much as he liked the idea of the Crimson Guard comming here. "Are you certian that's wise? We were hit pretty hard. Granted, we were in a horrible disadvantige, but they aren't anytihng to seer at."

Bode saw the table laden and heavey with food, and realized she was starving. Her eyes sweeped said table, searching for a favorite dish...when suddenly she saw Mr. Malik. She went stiff, and utterly refused to leave Onyx's grasp.

The Captain appeared in the center of the cell, dressed much as he was before, his violet-red eyes shinny brightly, a slight smile to his face. "Oh, how I do love great chaos..."

He looked at the prisoner, "Sorry about kidnapping you, placing you in this cell, and then offering to torture you endlessly torture should you not agree to my terms. If you had simply surrendered, no of this would have happened, and you and your crew would be off where ever they were going, should I know, I would have said."

"I'd ask you if you are ready to take hand directly in the fall of D'Mitri now, but I am not allowed to ask you questions, so my orders you shall take. Tell me I am allowed to ask you questions, which you will answer. Honestly, or dishonestly... Whichever you feel will help me in my cause..."

Whirlwind was sitting on the bed, one knee up, the other down, an arm slung across said knee. She had been staring off into space, wondering again about the flow of time, even though she has said she wouldn't.

She smiled. "You speak eloquant words while threatning and offering...." salvation wasn't the word, nor was freedom, "me a path at the same time." She chuckled. "You make it sound like I have some sort of power over you." Intriging. "Such an odd demeanor, for one of your kind." A cheeky smile.

"Very well, Captian. You are allowed to ask question, and I will answer that which I believe will best help your cause." She looked off into the distance agaoin. "Or mine."

"What is your cause as it relates to mine, for one." The elf's eyes narrowed and he smirked. "Would you like some arms and armour?"

Tarathiel's posture relaxed, and his facial expression deminised. "May I know your name?"
PostPosted: Fri Sep 23, 2005 6:41 pm

"My cause is to rid the underdark of a certain king, I am sure you know his name, and his lineage if I can get my hands on them." She clenched a fist, digging half-moons inot her palms. The pain was a simple reminder...for the longest time she would rather have ahd that physical pain, then the other kind.. "I don't need armor. My kind isn't allowed to wear it. It's to heavy. We are a people of the wind, we cannot be slowed down."

"As for a weapon? A bow-staff. A bow of the Kari b*****d Tribe to be exact. Made with wood from the surface, blessed with the rings of the Earth Mother, chimed with bells made of white porclin." She gave a cold stare. "I have not been home in a very long time. But I strongly suspect my people no longer exist."

That was an old grudge though, adn it's edges had softened considerable. This was not a world for the weak. "I am Aella. I am Whirlwind." She did relax a bit though, under the Captain's own obvious leasurly posture. "Am I to keep calling you Captain?"

"Surface wood, that sounds impressive. The last time I was there, it was quite uninhabitable... I shall look into your request."

He smiled softly, "I am Tarathiel." He waved a hand in a circular pattern before bowing his head and waving his arm acros infront of him and to the side, he straighted and smiled again.

"So, Aella Whirlwind, I have one favour to ask... Don't kill Lord Jiscal... just yet. He is a most willing assitant in the production that is the fall of that king. He is onlydistant cousin, trice removed, soon to be the next in line... Should I have my way..."

"Then agian, I promised that same crown to a dwarf, who also wants revenge... Seems to me, I promised quite a few people the crown.... Hey, do you want it? Can't despose of a ruler and not leave someone in power of my chosing."

Tarathiel moved his hands towards a specific corner, and quickly went through a series of movements. Within moments, the first jailor, Stoneshaper walked through the wall. "Did they find something?"

He prduced a wooden staff, "This will have to do for now, but we shall find one, if they exist." The servent handed the weapon to the captain, who simply handed it straight to Aella. Stoneshaper walked back through the wall.

"Strange people druids are... I heard they used to be defenders of law and the natural order... Well, I can see their long stay in the dark has opened their eyes somewhat to darker roads..."
PostPosted: Fri Sep 23, 2005 7:06 pm

"I suppose they are hard to find. We onyl had one or two if I recall correctly." She smiled. "But it's my best."

She almost laughed, blinked slowly isntead. "I will not say "nice to meet you," Tarathiel, because I am not yet sure if it was. I will tell you when i know." Rude? Perhaps. But it was her way.

She sneered when he mentioned Lord Jiscal. While she had seen many "lords" come and go through the harem, adn she wasn't all too certian if she had encoutnered this particular man, but family always had their...tendancies to show up in her small room that was suppused to be used for sleeping. How could soemone sleep obn a bunch of pillows? they never stood still when you tried to turn around. "Fine. But I have not need nor want for power. I have my own, and it is enough.

She took the bow and stood. She twirled it, tossed it, caught it. Testing it's weight and balance. "It'll do for now." She fiddled with her top knot a moment, tightening it. "Druids? Hardly. I have very little druid blood in me. We are a clan of bastards, after all." Then a cheeky smile again. "There are only dark roads in a place where there is no sun."
