Mari brought in the food and was sitting it on the table. James looked towards Smash and still had the small smile on his face. "I go to the same school Raine is at. We're in a class together, but I suppose we just never noticed each other before." He laughed and Cyan just started to reach for some food, but Mari smacked his hand. "We're waiting for a bit to see if Garreth comes."

He smiled and gave a small chuckle at her sudden realization. "I'll give you the fact that you didn't notice me. You are a bit more noticeable than me with your blue hair. I look like another part of the mold." He then responded to Smash's statement. "Yes I am, as well as my father and mother. We're not from Verisana originally. We came here from a different world that's filled with our kind." He was being polite and Mari took her seat beside him and smiled. "Wow. That's interesting. Do your parents work here or in the other world?" He smiled and looked at her. "They own the natural apothecary downtown. They're herbologists."

Mari smiled. "I seen that place. Didn't go in, but I think I might now." Cyan leaned back and was incredibly bored at the moment. He didn't really care about Raine's friends. He then looked at Smash and laughed at his question. "We met because I bought a game she wanted and she stole it from me." He smiled as he said this and Mari glared at her. "Raine!"

James just laughed and put his hands up and made a calm down motion. "I didn't even want the game to be honest. I was just getting it to tease her and start a conversation. I was going to give it to her eventually." Mari shook her head. "It was still no reason for her to take it from you." He looked at Raine and scratched the back of his head and mouthed a 'sorry' to her while giving a hesitant laugh.

Soon enough, the door was heard opening and Garreth shouted. "I'm home. Sorry, the meeting went long." He then walked into the dining room and was still wearing his school uniform. He seen the boy and wondered who he was. James looked over at him and did a bit of a taken back motion because of how he looked. He wasn't scared, he just didn't expect that. Garreth wasn't angry, though and gave a small laugh. "Yea. I get that." James felt bad at this and stood up, holding out his hand. "I appologize. I didn't mean to have that reaction. My name is James. I'm Raine's friend from school." Garreth just shook his hand and nodded. "Garreth. Nice to meet you." They both took a seat and then with that Cyan shouted. "Can I eat now?" Mari gave him a dull stare. "As if you're starving or something. Go ahead and dig in then."

Garreth had given a small shrug and shook his hand in a bit of a so-so motion. "It was alright. Ups and downs as usuall." Cyan was just eating and not paying attention to much of anything. He never really did anything that was worthy of talking about at the table considering the latest was him just getting in trouble in school. Mari looked at James and smiled. James got himself a plate and started eating. "This is really good Mrs.-- I mean, Mari. Thank you for inviting me." He had to catch himself because he was always taught to be polite to his elders. Garreth looked at him and gave a small laugh. "You're my sister's friend? You seem a bit too polite to be hanging around her."

Garreth and James started talking about school and clubs that they were in. They both had a few things in common that had to do with academics and they were both on a debate team for their school. Mari listened to the conversation and smiled. Garreth seemed to be getting along with him and she was happy that James didn't act differently towards him by how he looked. James however let his curiousity get to him and spoke up. "I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but I'm wondering what race you are. Both of your parents are well... Human." Garreth went a bit quiet and James somewhat stammered trying to word the statement in a better way. Mari understood that he was just being curious so she answered him with a smile to show him that it's alright. "Hunni, I'm only half human. I can look like Garreth by applying a different energy to my body. The other race is Angelician world is Angelicus." James still felt a bit embarrassed and was scolding himself for questioning it and Garret smiled. "Dude, it's alright. You were just curious. You said it nicer than most people have."

Garreth was still finishing, but Cyan finished soon after. He stood up from the table and looked at his mom. "Thanks for dinner, but now since you made me do homework and I'm not finding this interesting at all--"
"Cyan!"
"--I'm out!" He took his plates to the kitchen then left, running down the stairs. When the boys started to get a bit older, they wanted their own rooms so Smash and Mari ended up remodling part of the basement to make a room and Cyan took it because he wanted the space and he used the other part of the basement for a sort of workshop. Mari glared after him and finished up her meal. Garreth smiled and looked over at her. "Very good, mom. Thanks." He got up and stretched a bit. "Nice meeting you James, but I need to get on some homework so I can have the weekend to do what I want." He waved and took his plate to the kitchen, then going upstairs to his room.

She looked up at him and gave a smile. "Sure." She looked back at James and smiled. "We enjoyed your company and you're welcomed back anytime." He smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Mari. And thank you, too, sir." Mari got up from the table and patted him on the shoulder before walking into the living room and sitting down on the couch. James got up and started pushing the chairs into the table to try to help Raine out.
