I honestly don't see how that could be possible. No one goes through that much effort for a little gold.
Most hackers aren't horrible spellers and everything else either, they know what they're doing, and they do it well.
if they wanted your account, they would have sent you something convincing, like when people had sig-links with fake login pages overlapping the page that it goes to. Now THAT was smart, if it wasn't for my passwords being saved, I would have lost my account that way. Haha.

but I honestly don't think anyone has the time or patience, to hack someone's account through those kinds of means on Gaia, when they can just keep sending false PMs and getting results from dumbasses. 3nodding

Dylan | Not like I would've had time to vent to you. I've been running around for the past few days anyway. >.< But that was way too easy to catch. You're telling me there are scammers that are that stupid? That's why my mind jumped to that being a sign that a hacker had their eyes set on me. I mean their name wasn't colored, they asked for my username, they misspelled things, their avatar was a total cosplay of the Lead Admin, their information was a little out of date... I won't even go on because it was so painful to look at. But no matter. I transferred my stuff around anyway since I was almost done.

ADD | My friends aren't exactly nerdy but they practically speak in code. I'm not a hacker expert, so I'm sure you would know more about hackers than me, I just know that a few cosmetic changes aren't going to make me feel comfortable. I'm not gonna just say, "Whelp, that outta do it," after I change my password; which I don't really want to do. I've had that password a while, since before they added that number rule, and have grown to like it. Anywhat. It's not the gold and items really. If I really wanted, I could easily get the items I have now again. It's not hard since I don't have much good stuff. I'm more worried about the guild I created to store information in being lost to me if someone hacked my account, my pms being available to a hacker when I have important information to me in them, them fooling around on my account and bothering my friends, etc. I mean, the items I'd hate for them to have because they'd think they pulled something over on me but I'd get over it. I wouldn't get over them being in my stuff or messing with my friends though. That's why I was freaking out about the whole thing.

I feel a little better after last night. I downed some chocolate syrup, started dancing around to burn it off, and then the next thing I knew my mom was shaking me and telling me to go to bed. <.<

Grim - You're not in any real danger. And hackers generally just go after items, nothing else.

I have seen many attempts for me to be hacked.
And I'm still fine. 3nodding
