"Believe me, if he's not a good kid, have at it. Just don't hate him because he's a boy, though." She looked up at the sky and smiled as she seen a speck in the sky. "I think that's her now."

they were getting closer but turned to him and decided to warn him now. "listen, my dad is kinda touchy on the me hanging with boys thing. your life might be at stake here so be careful ok?"
he looked up to the sky and sniffed a bit. it was them alright. he kept an eye out for the boy.

James just laughed and smiled at her. "At the first sign of danger, I'll teleport. Don't worry about me." They got close and he landed before she did. He held onto his staff and didn't transform it into the charm, yet. Mari seen him and smiled a bit, walking over to meet him.

she let out a sigh. he really didn't realize that it wouldn't be that easy. she landed in front of him and looked at her mother. "hey mom. this is james. james, my mom. over there is my dad."
he decided to walk over and he smiled a bit, mostly because he was told to be nice.

He switched the hand he was holding his staff in and held out his right hand to Mari first and shook her hand, then holding it out to Smash. "Pleasure to meet you ma'am. Sir." He smiled and kept ahold of his staff until he could back up and transform it. Mari smiled and looked at him. "It's nice to meet you too."

he shook his hand and looked im over a bit. "nice to meet ya bud."
she smiled a bit and rubbed her head a bit. "sorry about not being here sooner."

He took his hand back and transformed the staff back into a charm and hooked it onto his necklace around his neck. He continued to smiled and Mari looked at Raine. "We'll talk about it later. Come in and sit down. Dinner is almost ready." Mari walked into the house so she could get dinner on the table. James stood there and looked at Raine, smiling. "She's very nice."

he nodded then followed her in. he went to the table and let out a small sigh.
she nodded then walked to the house. "yea. mom is pretty kool. you dont wanna get her mad ether though, trust me."

He followed her in and nodded. "Right. Hopefully I don't get on either one of your parents' bad side. They seem like good people." He smiled and as soon as he walked into the house, Cyan looked at him and raised his eyebrow. "Who's this?" He looked at Raine for the answer and gave her a dull stare.

she gave him a small glare and didn't forget how he yelled at her on the phone. "this is james. james, this is my little brother, cyan."

James held out his hand to shake his and smiled. "Pleasure to meet you, Cyan." Cyan shook his hand, but laughed a bit about his tone. "Whatever. This your boyfriend or something, Raine?" James could only just laugh and shook his head. "I just met her today. I don't think anyone could move that fast." Cyan grinned and then took his hand back. "Good, because heaven help you if you went out with her." He then took off towards the kitchen before she could get ahold of him. He sat down in the seat next to Smash and leaned back in the chair. Normally he sat by his mother, but with her being on his case, he wanted out of her reach.
Mari walked into the kitchen and was holding a chair. Usually Garreth would sit on a side by himself because of his wings, but today he would have to make an exception. She looked up at James and smiled. "You'll be sitting here next to me and across from Raine. We'll keep you away from Matt today. Oh yes. My name is Mari. I'm not one for the whole 'Mrs.' title. Makes me feel old." She laughed and placed the chair at the table.

she growled a bit from him an made a note to kill him later. she went into the kitchen and sat down across from him.
matt chuckled a bit and looked up at him. "can you believe it? they make it sound like i have it out for you or something."

James laughed and shrugged at his words. "Imagine that, sir. I don't see why." He took a seat and looked across the table at Raine and then looked at the seat beside him that was empty. "Will someone else be here tonight?" Mari left to go into the kitchen and get the food. Cyan answered the question for him. "Our older brother, Garreth. He had a meeting or something at his school today."

raine stayed in her seat and kept quiet for a bit, not knowing what to talk about. smash was sitting at the head of the table and looked to him. "so what school do you go to?"
