Faer was once again awake and irritable. Wondering if the Lady Vampire was alright she paced the household, the kids were outside and playing with the animals. The only one in the house beside herself was a cat she had an affinity for. It was currently watching her and purring slightly. So wrapped up in her thinking she did not hear the doors of a vehicle close, what she did hear was a child's scream. Faer started and was about to walk outside when the door of her home was blasted to smitherines. In walked vampires in uniforms, her children with their mouths closed over with hands. The leader of the squad walked in afterwards.
"You were at the warehouse were you not? And you killed my men... Why? You swore long ago that you were neutral, and that's the only reason I hadn't had you destroyed." His voice was cold, his eyes hard.
"Yes, I was there. The only reason I killed your men was because there were children scattered around me, shot to pieces. Your men had no care to watch who they shot at. Innocent children your men killed, and for that I killed them. Now, if you lay one hand on these children, your life will be forfeit, and I will kill you in the slowest, most agonizing way possible." Faer's eyes were a chilling gold color, seeming amber as she concentrated her gaze on the man, seeming to strip the flesh from his bones.
"Ah, but they were Wastelander children were they not? You had no right to defend them. No right at all, and for that." He signaled one of his lackeys, who with a simple flick of his wrist, broke a finger of the eldest boy in her home. It was the last movement he ever made, for with a glance from Faer, his hand was wrenched from his arm with a pop and squelch. He fell to the ground, writhing before going quiet.
"And I warned you not to touch my children. I suggest you get out before he bleeds to death. If not, you shall die here and now. If you ever lay a foot inside my house again, you shall find your feet removed, then your hands, then your tongue, and then your nose. I shall leave you alive with your eyes and ears, so wherever you go you can see the revulsion on the faces of people who see you, and hear the whispers of pity emitted on your behalf." Faer was totally serious, and the man heard this to the point where her hard as ice voice had him quivering to his shoes. Reaching into the Void, she pulled her weapon out and the men immediately dropped her children and turned tail, leaving their commander in the dust. He ran after them, shaking with every stride.
Faer crouched in her home, taking her children into her arms. At least now she knew who had ordered the attack, and she would kill him, but for now, she would have to heal her "son's" hand. Her magic had spiked in anger, and it would surely affect anything she had created, including the flute she had given the Lady.
Said flute had began to glow a bright bluish grey, vibrating before floating for a moment, before clattering to the floor. A crack had formed, but it would sstill work.
Faer checked her magic, steadied it, and went back to settling down her children.

Her eyes looked thoughtfully at Glein as though the though of being suprised was rather imature, "I am not so foolish nor old fashion that I believe age should determine rank, nor should it be a main factor in leadership taking roles. After all, in my human days I aquired the rank of Commanding General of the Vatican Supernatural Execution Squad Number VIII." She shrugged and laughed a bit, "Yeah...great job we did huh? ..." The humor was dry and trailed off into a trace of something like regret or shame. But as suddenly as it came, it left and her eyes flashed back to being emotionless and alert. "You don't have to sit so far away...I won't bite again for a day or so, so you needn't yield so much distance."
Suddenly the pulse of magic comming from her trench coat on the bench across from her. She looked at it with narrowed eyes, thinking it was a tracing device and then she rose an eyebrow as she realized what it was: the summoning flute. But why had it suddenly sprung to life like that?
Curious, she rose a hand and directed it at the hidden compartment within the coat. The flute, ever shinning and radiating with pulsing light, floated into the air and came towards her, landing smoothly in her outstreched hand. She looked at the device, examining it and trying to find a reason for the reaction...but only found a clean split down one side of the instrument. It was...odd...magical devices of this power couldn't be broken by anything but by the source that gave it power or forged it.
Deciding that finding a cause was within her time frame, Kelbora fisted the object and whispered a word in the ancient language of magic. Magic in this day and age was hard to come by, even for vampires, only high level and very very old vampires knew how to wield its power. Technology was for the new generation, though she was very adaquit with both.
Suddenly the flute flared with a combination of her power and the Elemental's. It flared and dance with fire running along itsides before it froze over, then crummbling into dust before it vanished...flying to its master upon the winds of magic. She hadn't meant to activate the summoning charm, merely learn what made the thing tick. She suddenly twitched and looked at where the flute had once been with a frown...the flute had a fail safe: Any kind of magic activated it...even when the magic wasn't meant to be used for summoning. Damn.
"If what that woman said was correct...we'll be having a guest joinning us very soon." She said, her tone flat, even, and tired. This was going to be a long day.

Faer's ears perked at the magic of the flute speeding towards her. But why would her flute do that? Her answer to the question came quickly when the grains of it flew into her outstretched palm. Looking at them in grave silence, she used her magic to piece it back together. She was livid at the moment, still pacing after the vampires had invaded the home. She couldn't leave... But she had to, she was summoned. Giving her eldest boy a pat on the head, she told him to watch the other children and whisper her true name on the winds and she shall come. Only he knew the name, and he would only call it under dire need. For her true name controlled her essence. She would be a tool for the the one who had her name.
With that she transported, arriving to where she assumed the Lady Vampire would be with a sound like a cracked whip. Brandishing the flute at the Lady she scolded her fiercely. "You shattered my flute to bring me here? I had said that playing the first note would do it but you had to break it?" She was obviously flustered, disheveled. She also seemed overly tired and exerted. "Nevermind. Finally you called me, i've been dealing with an obtuse vampire, calming children, and being obviously annoyed with the incessant pull!" To say that the Elemental was fairly pissed was an understatement.

If Dion had been sitting on a bench without a back, he would have toppled undo the ground in his shock. "What in the hell?!!" Was all Dion was able to say as the elemental arrived. The OCRA rocked slightly from the sudden additional weight, but evened out after a few moments. "Ok Lady, You really need to let me know who your bringing along BEFORE you scare the crap out of me from their sudden apperances!" Dion growled, for teh moment forgetting he was most likely overstepping his bounds, but the shock of hte elemental's sudden arrivel was not helpful on his nerves.

The Elemental in fact did not take kindly to the man's crude way of taking her entrance. "First of all, kindly sir, I am not in fact being brought, I merely came fro halfway across the continent because someone broke my damned flute!" She stood perfectly erect in the rocking, as if not moved an inch by it. "And i'm quite thrilled to hear your lovely baritone growling at us! Your growling at a Vampire AND an Elemental! That is quite a deal of courage!" She flourished her flute at him two, as if it was a sword and sat heavily on a bench across from the Lady. "Where are we? And where are we going?" She seemed to have calmed a bit. All her anger from the past few hours gone.

Sergei stood on the outside wall of the abandoned base he called home and watched the vampires stream into Moscow. He scowled and flicked away the cigarette he'd been contemplating. He'd never much taken up smoking. It annoied him. Just like most other habits that people found addicting or enjoyable. His only bane was vodka. He'd already tossed back a few glasses. Right now he was simply waiting. Waiting for someone who knew his reputation to come up and offer him a job. most likely he'd be killing off some officer or important figure. He'd laughed at the reporter who'd been blown apart by the missle strike. Maybe that would finally teach these damn bloodsuckers to stop sending media civilians into battle zones. It irked him how much that was done, dispite the fact the said reporters were usually killed. He sighed and turned back to the main part of the base, thinking how much was left in the bottle before he'd have to go get more.
"Sergei!"
He turned quickly and smoothly, and was pointing a pistol at a girl no more than nineteen before he'd even had a chance to think about it. He sighed and holstered the pistol, tsking under his breath and speaking to the girl in Russian. "You should know better Selia. I could have blown your pretty face off of your skull if I wasn't careful. Then your father would have my hide for a coat. I thought you knew better than to sneak up on me." The girl smiled and hugged him around his waist. "If I knew my uncle was becoming paranoid, I'd stop coming here." she said affectionatly. Sergei sighed. His neice knew that he'd never shoot her, but it was still smart not to go rushing into an unknown situation. He didn't even walk into the base without first checking the perimeter. Sometimes he'd had guests over that would not be so hesitant to shoot a young woman. Not that Selia was helpless. She carried a pistol in her belt and had an assault rifle slung across her back, and he knew that she carried at least three knives on her at all times. She had chosen to support the Wastelanders wholeheartedly in their resitance movement, and often took advantage of his love for her and her father to win support. Sergei ruffled her hair and looked out to the front of the base. Fourteen soldiers appeared, all in snow camoflage. "So, this little uprising is all thanks to you?" He asked, dismissing the soldiers at a glance. Selia blushed and shook her head. "Of course not uncle! I'm not that high. I was sent by the commander to see if I could win some more support. So I came here." Sergei shrugged. "As long as I get paid."

One of the soldiers walked forward, and lowered the snow mask he had on. "Pay will not be an issue. Whatever your price, i'll gladly pay. I'm Wasteland Leader Jim Raynor, your neice's commander." The man said, with a slight British accent, his eyes still hidden by teh googles he was wearing. He awaited Sergei's answer, wanting to see the famus mercenary at work, and not against him.

The Lady frowned and remained still with her arms and legs crossed, her eyes both in dull annoyance and hinting complete defeat of her once perfect plan to silently invade this country. What was next...the legendary Angels coming to their aid while blood thirsty mercenaries trailed their hides?
"Before I begin to explain anything, Lady Elemental...you are not to touch my Pomme de Sang. He is my human donar and by the bounds of Master Vampire and Servent, he is mine to protect and feed from." She said, using ancient words of Vampiric language that she had little doubts the long lived Elemental wouldn't understand. "If you harm him in any way, it is punishable by having to deal with me...and powerful though you may be, you do not want to deal with me." Her tone was calm, even, and confident. Just by looking at this young woman she knew she was smart and somewhat knowledgeable in old Vampiric ways. Her swift acknowledgment of her blood lust from before had made that quite clear.
Before Dion could say anything, Kelbora turned her eyes in a sidewards glace at him to explain.
"Sorry I didn't mention this before, but you are now what old Vampires call a Pomme de Sang, of Apple of Blood in the old language of French. Basically, because I bite you and healed you, not to mention let you live, I transfered over to you a mark. This marks you as my perminate donar until one of us is dead. Think of it as a mutual exchange of gifts...I get your blood which makes me appear more human and keeps me alive, and you'll in herit long life, you'll become far more difficult to harm, you'll heal even quicker then you already do, and no other vampire will be able to feed from you or turn you. Basically, you're immuned to Vampiric bewitchments and abilities through me." She then smirked, "Sorry, but there wasn't anything I could do about it. I'm an old vampire...and since I didn't kill you or turn you, this was the last option in order to keep you bound to me. Our contract is signed in blood, and now you see why I usually don't leave my donars alive. You'll...be the first."

((Jim Raynor? That sounds familiar...))
Sergei looked at the man appraisingly. He had the build of someone who was used to leading the troops into battle and actually fighting. But the accent confounded him. What was an Englishman doing here in Russia? He knew that Wasteland soldiers fought all over the world, but he assumed that they couldn't travle very far. And why had the man spoken to him in english when Sergei had been speaking Russian? If he could understand it, why not speak it? Sergei frowned, then spoke. He was not ery good at foreign languages, and had been told that he had atrocious English. Even to him, it sounded guttural and wrong. "My usual rates are being known to you, if you are really being working with Selia. If you can be paying me half in front, I will be gladly fighting for you. What are you needing me to do comrade?"

(does the name StarCraft ring any bells?)
Jim Raynor nodded. He opened on of the pouches on the front of his combat vest, and pulled out a chip. "In this is all your pay. All you have to do is plug it into a ATM and it'll let you take it all. As for the job itself, We need you to play havok with the Empire's supply lines. I don't care how you do it, just ensure it's either very difficult or impossible for them to resupply." He handed Sergi the chip, and closed teh pocket, and replaced his mask. Using hand signals, he ordered his soldiers to move out, leaving Sergi and Selia there after vanishing in the snow again.

The Elemental stared long and hard at the Lady Vampire, as if testing she was serious. Seeing that she was, she started to chuckle, then laugh, and then roar doubled over. It was funny. For what need did she have to harm the man. What reason? She was sure they were probably staring at her like she deserved to be in a ward or something but she didn't care.
Finally calming down, her sides in pain, she stared at the others, silently, her eyes totally dry, her cheeks red for lack of air. "Well, I haven't had a laugh that great in....What? An age or two?" She placed her elbows on her knees and her hands under her chin. "Well. I don't exactly see the reason for you to threaten me, seeing as I have no reason to harm your.... Chewtoy." She smiled sarcastically.

Kelbora remained in her normal position, face expressionless, eyes blank, she'd had 2000 years of practice with hiding her emotions. The cackling of the Elemental didn't bother her, and whether the Elemental gave reason for the threat or not was of no concern: She was making a general statement. Period. However, at her..."Chewtoy" comment, she frowned and her eyes narrowed ever so slightly. Not only had she offended Dion, but her as well. She would not tolerate being offended.
"...Lady, that was no threat, that was a promise and a ground rule if you will. And I did not mean to summon you, so you're free to leave at any time; and after a comment like that...suggest you either hold your tounge with your insults or toss yourself right out of this plane like a good little Witch." Calling and Elemental, a creature of pure power, a Witch, a make believe human who used tricks to dazzle the minds of weaklings, was one of the greatest insults to one of this woman's standing. And Kelbora knew it full well. "A Pomme de Sang is not a...'chewtoy'. To humans of ancient times, it was considered a position of high honor to be a treasured and valued being to a Master Vampire. Now...if you're quite through with your disrespectful behavior, I suggest you remember your proper etiqute before another member of high ranking non-mortal status."
Kelbora, The Lady of The Fallen and of Shadows, was over 2000 years old...much older then this rather youthful Elemental so as far as she was concerned, she had the right to remind this young one of how to properly address and elder and a fellow high ranking creature of non-human origin. She wasn't intimidated by the lass, she didn't have a reason to be. This woman, old in her years but not in her spirit, knew how to pick her battles...and a simple scolding wouldn't provok a fight. Kelbora had shown no sign of violent intent...though she did promise it should this woman go to far.
"I thank you for your offer to let me bleed you before, I do not forget a favor, however...I must inquire as to what business you have here with me or the Wastelanders. So...care to share, m'lady?"

The Elemental's face went from smile to deadly calm in one second. She did not like being called a Witch, no, and no matter how much she wanted to jump off the plane, oh how she wished to go back home, she couldn't. The Void hadn't liked it either, and her stomach roiled with the power. It was definitely not happy with the fact that the Lady Vampire had compared it to street magic, for Void magic was alive, a manifestation of nothing but pure power, with a mind of it's own at time. Her face paling drastically at the effort of holding it back, she began to sweat, the power leaking in generous amounts but staying under her grasp.
"I would like to retract my earlier statement if you would retract yours. To mock the magic is not smart." Her voice was breathy, as if she had held her breath for a short time. "I could not think of a better word at the moment, i'm truly sorry." She tried to show regret on her face, but all she managed was a grimace through the struggle. "To answer your question though, I have two reasons. First and foremost, the children. Remember that don't you? Your enemies killed the children. I'll kill them. The second is I can't not be here. I'm a seer. I prophecise events, and I sense strings of destiny. I've been pulled to you, so you have somehow a connection to 'The One,' my eternal master until which I serve, I won't die. It's been prophecised that until I meet him/her, and serve him/her, I will not die."

Dion looks at them, bickering like a couple of children. "Ok, are you two going to keep bickering over who has more right then hte other on being here!?!" Dion stated, checking his chrono, seeing that the ORCA would be arriving at the base in a half hour. "Listen, you two can argue or bicker, WHATEVER!, once the Lady has seen the Grand Wastelander. I really don't want to have a headache from the two of you exchanging violent blasts of magic between the two of you, on a very fragile craft to magic." Dion said, motioning to the ORCA. Though it was extremely tough to break against technological weapons, magical on the other hand, it was a strong as a peice of paper in a hurricane. "We'll be touching down at Purity in half-an-hour. So i'm guessing it might be an hour before you two can go back at it. Ok?" Dion asked, looking at each of them in turn, a mere human in between two of the most magically aligned races roaming the planet.
