More Speech [cont.]

=====

"Pay. Pay-v tofu." Mos told me.
"No, Mos, Pave. Pave." I replied. He rolled his eyes a little and repeated "Pay-v."
"Pave, Mos, Pave."
"Pave. Tofu!" He cried. I chipped off more tofu and handed it to him. "Y'know Mos, maybe you should learn to say Storm's name, too." He looked up at me like I was crazy and said "Storm!" I fell sideways off my chair and he stared down at me, knowing I was crazy. "You said Storm!"
"Storm." He crawled forward and grabbed a chunk of tofu, stuffing it in his mouth. He smiled as he chewed and bits of tofu dribbled out the sides of his mouth. "Torm." His mouth was too full to hear it legibly, but he had said it again. I was stunned. He was an interesting baby, that was for sure. Todays lesson ended with a bang, literally, as I made quite a lot of noise when I fell off my chair. Mos can now say "Tofu, Pave, Mos, and Storm." Great. He's really coming along.

A walk around the park

=====

Today Mos was feeling particularly active, so I took him for a stroll around the park. He was very excited to see the butterflies in the afternoon. We went to a local coffee shop and he tried something called a "Lemon Raspberry Loaf". It was quite good. We went to the library where he found a picture book with texture included, lamb's wool, cat's fur, dog's hair, baby chicken's feathers. He felt all of this many times and when he came to the picture of the lambs, he pointed excitedly. Yes, it was just like Mary and the other twenty lambs that he raised. At that point, he was very hungry. We stopped by a grocery store and picked up a pound of tofu which we ate in the park picnic area. The benches were hard, but Mos sat on my lap and giggled. It was a great day, and so I think we'll try going out to the park more often. It seems to bring out a happier side in Mos. The nitemares are still terrible. We need Storm over here again. Haha.

Roleplay at the HQ #5

=====

Pave stepped into the HQ holding Mos on her shoulders. He giggled and looked around. "Storm!" He said. Pave nodded and set him down on a chair.
"Storm will be here soon." She told him. She sat next to him and leaned back. He had had another nitemare last night and neither of them had gotten much sleep. She needed Storm back so he could help Mos, she thought to herself. Mos still looked excitedly around, waiting for his friend to arrive.
==
==
Gabo held his pink haired ToR as he headed for the HQ, the boy's finger's curling around his dad's long silver hair. It hurt the half demon slightly, as he always found his head to be a sensitive area, but he let Storm do as he pleased.
Besides, when he saw Mos he would forget all abot him, right?
Gabo finally found himself at the HQ's door, and as he pushed it open quite lazily, he spotted Pave and Mos, waving to them with a grin.
"Hello, friends." The silver haired boy greeted them, working his way over to the two, and placing Storm on the chair next to Mos.
==
==
"Hey Gabo. How has Storm been?" Pave asked casually. She had stifled a laugh when he entered with Storm tugging on his hair, but now she was calm again.

Mos perked up immediately and when his pink-haired friend was set beside him, he held his arms out. He was warning Storm that he was going to hug the boy. "Hug?" asked Mos. "Storm hug."
==
==
"Just fine, thanks. And Mos?" The half demon asked, that same goofy grin on his face. Gabo took a seat next to Pave as he awaited her answer, and let out a small sigh. Storm was a hand full latly, but he was thankful that the boy hadn't receeded into his shell.

Storm blinked a few times, taking a moment to process the reguest the boy was giving him. Oh..a hug? Well, he was sitting down, so he supposed he couldn't be knocked off his feet..
Making up his mind, the pink haired boy nodded, telling Mos that it was ok.
==
==
"Well he's been missing Storm. He had another nitemare last night, though." Pave sighed, too. There were little rings under her eyes. "He needs Storm, I think. To stop the nitemares." She thought that might have sounded a bit odd, but she couldn't take it back now.

Mos smiled and scooted forward, pulling Storm into his arms and holding him there. "Storm." He whispered into the boy's ear. That was probably his new favorite word, and he used it a lot nowadays. He was glad to have Storm close to him. Pulling away from the hug, gave Storm a look that said "What's going on?"
==
==
"Another nightmare..?" Gabo asked with a worried tone, shaking his head. That poor boy..Mos was helping Storm out so much, that it kind of made him sad to see that Mos was in need.
"Just so you both know, I'm sure Storm would be glad to help out any time he can. I got the impression that he liked it over at your house. But Mos can always stay over at our house, too."
The half demon smiled, trying to reasure Pave. "Infact, I just set up a bunck bed in Storm's room."

Storm no longer felt strange when Mos hugged him, he'd become quite acustomed to it. And it was enjoyable when the boy didn't knock him over.
The pink haired boy seemed slightly upset when Mos let him go, but he allowed the boy to leave.
"Nothing.." Said the looked Storm shot back, he didn't really do much of anything when Mos was gone.
==
==
"I know Mos would love to come over to your house!" Pave said excitedly. She wanted Mos to socialize, and the news of bunk beds made her even happier. "Mos should get together with people, I think him at your house would be awesome." She nodded.

Mos clapped his hands and showed Storm a face that said "I missed you." He still remembered holding Storm's hand all night after his hand woken up in the middle of a nitemare. He smiled a little.
==
==
Mya was carrying Dante on her lap, whistling happily as she took her way back to the HQ. "That Dragain girl's really nice, and her little angelic Ingina seemed like a possible friend-in-making, no little Dante?" she asked the baby, watching her play with the keychain she had been given earlier.

Dante smilled faintly, not so sure of it like Mya. Yes, Ingina had given her the key chain, but that didn't exactly make her a friend. It would take more than a bribe to convince her. Though it had been a clever move indeed. She was stroking the white fur, submerged on her thoughts, when Mya entered the HQ. Great, more strangers...

"Hello!" Mya said sheepishly, smilling widely.
==
==
"That would be great for both Storm and Mos. Feel free to drop by any time." Gabo smiled and flipped his hair, trying to remove his bangs from his face.
"But you'll have to tell me what he likes and doesn't like. As well as anything else I should know."

Storm felt a strange warmness grow inside of him when he saw Mos smile, and he nodded to the black haired boy. It was easy to see that he had missed Mos as much as he had missed him.
==
==
Pave looked up. There was a new girl in the HQ. She had met her before. Who was it that she was carrying? Maybe a new friend for Mos. "Hey there. You're...Mya, right?" She held out her hand and looked down at the little ToR she was holding. "Who's that you've got there?"

Mos looked at the thing with blue hair. It had lots of messy hair, he thought. The eyes were covered by a cloth. Why was that. He turned to shoot a questioning look at Storm.
==
==
Gabo blinked, looking towards the door at what Pave was talking to. Oh, someone new? He hadn't herd her come in..
"Hello, there." The half demon greeted the new face, his trademark grin in place.

Storm didn't seem to noticed the new commer until Mos shot him a look. Shrugging slightly as the black haired boy's question, he began to study Dante and her caretaker.
==
==
"Yes, I am. And you're Pavement, if I remember it well." Mya said, nodding and shaking her hand while she tried to balance Dante on only one arm. Good thing she wasn't heavy... Sitting besides Pave, Mya let the baby seat on her legs as she had done before, stroking her head softly. "This is Dante, my little girl. It's more like she picked me, but that's another story..." she introduced the little ToR, laughing lightly.

Dante kept obliviously playing with the key chain, more interested on it than on the issuing conversation between any of the other people on the room. Besides, those she sensed that were of her size, and therefor her age, seemed to be more interested on themselves as well, so it was no use trying to do anything, or so she thought.
==
==
"You can call me Pave if you like." Pave replied. "Dante is a lovely name." Pave studied the little girl. Dreadlocks. She loved dreadlocks.

Mos crawled a little toward the child playing with the keychain. He reached his hand out to touch the child, but Pave quickly pulled him upright and sat him back down near Storm. "Hands to yourself," she admonished.
==
==
Mya noticed Gabo and waved to him, blushing slightly. "Oh, sorry! Didn't see you there. My name's Mya!" She stretched her hand to him, sweatdropping as she felt rather ashamed
==
==
Gabo extended his hand to the girl, offering her a handshake. "It's nice to meet you, Mya. My name is Gabo." The silver haired half demon greeted her with a friendly smile.
==
==
"Likewise." Mya told Gabo, noticing Mosrael's attempts. "Oh, there's no problem Pave. I think it's actually better, since it seems to be the only current way for her to take any interest in someone. She's rather untrusty I think..." With that said, Mya let Dante sit by the other two ToR's, placing her on the floor besides them.

Dante's half hearted curiosity rised with Mos's attempt to touch her. When Mya put her down besides them, she kept fiddling with the keychain, but her face was turned to them, serious as always. Her winglets flapped lightly though, showing a bit of interest.
==
==
The coloration of Dante's hair caught Storm's eye, and he turned to look at her. She had blue hair, and he had pink hair..They were opisites in a way..
Storm never took his eyes off of her for a minuted, but he still kept in mind that Mos was there, and he made a note not to forget about him.
As Dante continued to play with the key chain, Storm blinked and scotted closer to her.
==
==
Pave's face was absent as she nodded, her mind was far away with Willy Wonka. "I know what you mean Will--I mean, Mya." She quickly corrected herself. Mos rolled his eyes and looked down at the girl's winged ankles.

This girl, Dante, had wings! Just like Ingina. He reached forward and touched the feathers on one. It was soft, like Storm's skin. He turned, still holding onto the wing, and smiled at Storm and giving him a look that said "Hey, check it out!" He turned back and stroked the feathers.

Roleplay at the HQ #6

=====

Pave carried Mos into the HQ and sat him on a chair. She smoothed out her grass skirt and waited. Mos was looking at the doors expectantly. They were both waiting for something to happen, but Pave got bored first. She rummaged in her pockets for a book to read.
==
==
Blue kicked open the door, he boots making a smack noise. She quickly made a face of grimace, she didn't mean to kick it so hard. She looked up, trying to see if anyone saw, and noticed Pavement sitting down. "Oh hey" she smiled, Gregor stared blankly at the new people
==
==
Pave looked up and smiled. "Hey." She stood. "I'm Pave, this is Mos." She told the girl. "Who is it that you have?" She squinted a little at the little red-head and suppressed a giggle. Irish, it seemed. She suppressed another giggle. She loved Irish people!
==
==
"Hey Pave, 'Alo there Mos" Her fading irish accent pronouncing the words as best as possible. "This here is Gregor, and i'm Blue. 'Ow long have you been here? Part of the TOR that is." she said grinning.
==
==
Pave's face lit up at Blue's accent. "We've been here since July, isn't that right, Mos?" Mos looked up at her and nodded a little. Pave looked back up and asked "How long have you had Gregor?"
==
==
"Gregor's been with me since August 4th" she said, setting a squirming Gregor on the floor. "Now, be a good boy while mommy talks to Pave."
==
==
Pave nudged Mos and set him next to Gregor. Mos didn't look particularly happy about this arrangement, but turned to Gregor anyway. "Play nice," Pave told him.

Mos grimaced at her and looked at Gregor. He didn't look very nice to Mos. Mos held out his hand and waited. He hoped the red haired boy would shake it, because indeed, the hair was fascinating to Mos. If Gregor would shake his hand, maybe Mos could get a better look at it.
==
==
Gregor blankly stared at Mos' hand, and cocked his head. What was this? He patted his hands on the ground, making small sounds in the plush carpet.
==
==
Mos shrugged and let his hand fall to his side. He could still get a look at Gregor's hair without a formal introduction. He pulled at a strand of his own hair and nodded in Gregor's direction.
==
==
Gregor cooed and pulled at a strand of his own hair. "Red.." he said slowly
==
==
Mos reached forward hesitantly and stroked Gregor's hair. It was red and he loved it. Mos made a gurgling sound in his throat and stroked the hair again. It was so pretty.
==
==
Gregor flinched a bit, and then got the jist. He reached foward and patted Mos' head.
==
==
Mos was a little stunned at Gregor's actions, but accepted it and continued to pet the red hair on top of Gregor's head. It occured to him that maybe Gregor would like a hug, just as Storm did. "Hug?" Asked Mos. He had learned by now that most of his friends did not want random hugs out of the blue, so he asked before hugging, now.
==
==
"Hug?" Gregor was still new to this whole-friend-thing, and had no idea what the word ment. Whatever it was, he was going to let Mos do it, curiosity claiming him.
==
==
Mos took that as a yes and scooted forward, his arms outstretched. He pulled Gregor forward a little and wrapped his arms around the boy's torso. It felt good to hug people, Mos knew, and he thought that it might feel good for people to get hugged, too. He smiled.
==
==
Gregor squeeked, this was new. Only Blue hugged him, and this was different. He flailed a tiny bit and stood a bit still. It was new, but was it good? The other boy was smiling
==
==
Mos let go and sat back, still grinning at Gregor. "Hug." Pronounced Mos. He was glad Gregor had let Mos hug him. Gregor was surprised, Mos guessed, but Mos was happy. Maybe Gregor was not used to hugs. Mos mentally shrugged and stretched out his arm to once more pat Gregor's hair.
==
==
Oh..that was a hug. It wasn't that bad. Something new..thats all. No use getting anxious over something so small he figured. "Hair." He said, pointing to his own.
==
==
Mos nodded and pointed to his own black hair. Then he started to feel his own hair. It was soft, like Gregor's. He smiled. Gregor was a good person to "learn" from.
==
==
Eamane had a worried look on her face as she opened the door to head quarters holding a tiny bundle in her arms. She looked around and let out a grateful sigh, at least she wasn't alone. Smiling she wandered over to the other 'parents' to introduce herself
==
==
Pave looked up and spotted the girl holding something coming closer. She smiled and waved to the girl. "Hi there!" She greeted her.

Mos looked up from patting his own head and spotted a bundle. What was it?
==
==
Gregor looked up too. What was that?

Blue looked up and grinned "Why, hello there"
==
==
Eamane's smile became a grin, friendly people at that! "Hello," she began in her strange lilting voice. Her eyes drifted over the children playing on the ground "I think i'm in the right place. I'm called Eamane" She pushed a lock of black hair behind her ear and pulled the blanket away from Tiri's face "and this is Tirio"

Tiri turned her head towards the sound of Eamane's voice with oddly unfocused eyes.
==
==
'Lo Eamane, i'm Blue, the red head over there's my Gregor. Welcome" She said, sitting back on the couch

Gregor looked up in wonder. Was that another child?
==
==
Eamane bit her lip and then nodded to herself as she put Tiri on the floor in a sitting position before joining Blue and the other girl on the couch.

Tiri remained almost motionless staring into the air in front of her.
==
==
"Hey there Eamane. I'm Pave, and this," she pointed at Mos, "is Mos." Pave looked forward at Tirio's face. She smiled. "Hello Tirio," she said.

Mos stretched his neck to get a look inside the bundle, but he couldn't see. This must be another baby. He would have to get a good look at it.
==
==
Gregor looked at Mos questioningly, and crawled a little closer to the newcomer
==
==
Mos shrugged and moved forward too.
==
==
Tirio continued to stare ahead seemingly unaware of Mos and Gregor coming closer.

Eamane carefully watched the children and turned towards Pave and Blue, wondering what they thought of Tiri odd behavior "she's blind." she told them in response to the unspoken question
==
==
"Blind?" Pave was a little startled. "Oh, like Dante." She nodded. "Can Tirio sense other people? Or is she completely oblivious?"

Mos heard someone above him say "blind" and his mind flicked back to Dante. He reached forward and put his hand right in front of Tirio's face. Pave looked at him sharply and told him "Don't tease her."
==
==
Gregor stopped in front of Tiri. "Lo"

"Oh.." Blue replied, "is that part of her punishment?" She was wondering why Tiri wasn't reacting.
==
==
Tirio tilted her head towards Gregor's voice as the other children came closer and made a grab for Mos' hand as she felt the air infront of her move.

Eamane shrugged "she isn't oblivious...but i don't think she can sense things other than by feel. Perhaps her other senses are slightly hightened but thats not abnormal in blind people...or so i've read" she added with a blush. She nodded at Blue "I think so..."
==
==
Mos was surprised by Tirio's movement. He hadn't thought she could tell where he was, but obviously she could. He pulled his hand away quickly.
((Then I had to leave.))

Roleplay at the HQ #7

=====

Mya watched Dante play happily with Tayten, the clownfish colored Griff, sat on one of the HQ's chairs. It was a good get away place this one indeed. Especially when the cause was related. Oh well...

Dante giggled as Tayten carefully tickled her with her furry tail, wriggling on the soft floor.
==
==
Pave carried Mos in on her back, Mary tailing behind and bleating. Mos was leading her with a little leather lead and giggling. Pave spotted Mya and smiled. "Hi Mya!" She waved.

Mos pulled his gaze from Mary and noticed a blue haired Dante in the HQ. He immediately narrowed his eyes and inspected her.
==
==
"Hiya Pave. How's stuff? That's Tayten, a really cheerful Griff." Mya smiled, pointing to the orange shape that kept tickling Dante oblivious to the rest.

Dante could sense Mos and something else around, maybe a pet of his. He was Storm's best friend from what she recalled. Not to be trusted, therefor. So, she ignored him, playing with Tayten like nothing else was there.
==
==
"Hey Tayten." Pave nodded in the Griff's direction. "This is Mary." She pulled on the lead and Mary walked forward, chewing on the carpet. "Mos's lamb."

Mos saw that Dante didn't register his arrival. He sighed in a relieved way. At least she wasn't going to start screaming again.
==
==
"Heylos, Pave. Nice to meet ya!" Tayten said one her slightly squawked voice, waving to the woman with one of her clawed paws. She eyed the lamb briefly, but looked down to Dante as she realized she was licking her beak. "Not food, not food..."

Dante tilted her head slightly, looking puzzled to Tayten. What wasn't food? Didn't matter anyway, she wasn't hungry... Instead, she wanted to play more with Tayten. She had not reason to speak with Mos, so she wouldn't. Even though the fact he had a lamb (that was a lamb?) interested her.

"Awww, it's so cute! It's Mos's?" Mya asked, grinning.
==
==
Pave nodded and smiled. "Mary is Mos's favorite lamb." She patted Mary on the head and set Mos down next to Dante. "I do hope they can get along today." Pave said.

Mos scooted away from Dante quickly. She didn't like Storm, she must be crazy.
==
==
"Doesn't look like it..." Mya moaned, annoyed.

"Hey, look at this kiddo! Mos, is it?" Tayten, much to Dante's dismay, had (finally) noticed the little boy. He could only be a friend! He looked so sweet, he even had that tasty, oops, sweet little lamb! Sometimes I so hate being mostly carnivore... she thought, holding up a smile to Mos.

Dante's smile couldn't be any yellower. Great. Just great. He'd probably want to burn her too...
==
==
Pave poked Mos hard in the back and he scooted forward again, more annoyed than Mya. "He's just being rude. Mos, play with Dante."

Mos looked up at Tayten and scowled. This...griff...was smiling at him. Tayten acted friendly, but Mos thought that the animal was probably just like Dante. Insane. Mos dropped his gaze and pulled Mary over to him. She was better to be around than Dante, in his opinion. At least she didn't scream.
==
==
"Don't speak too much, or you'll run out of air..." Tayten mused, giggling at her own pun. "Well, I was going to let you up my back and give you a free flying trip since you're a friend of the little devil here..."

Dante pulled Tayten's tail at this point. But the Griff didn't care.

"... But since you're taking care of that nice lamb, I'll just have to go stretch my wings alone..."

"Tricky Tayten..." Mya muttered, grinning.
==
==
Pave smiled at Tayten's joke. Mos was being antisocial today. She hoped this wouldn't happen, but of course, she could not prevent it.

Mos flicked his hand in Tayten's direction, signalling in a lazy way that he didn't care. Pave frowned at him, but he ignored her.
==
==
Dante climbed up Tayten's back instead of Mosrael, wanting to fly. If he didn't want, that didn't matter!

Tayten, however, didn't agree with that. "Now you think that you can dismiss me just like that? Well, no one turns down on Tayten, the Griff of happiness!"

"That's a new one..." Mya muttered, grinning.

"And, for that, you're coming either way. You'll like it, you'll see!" Tayten grabbed Mos with her paws and threw him over to her back, behind Dante. "Now hang tight both of you, we're going to have some fun!" Setting of into a run outside, they were all in the air with a beat of Tayten's wings, taking them over the roof tops of the city.

"Be careful!" Mya shouted, running after them to the entrance of the HQ with a smile.

"Yaaay!" Dante squealed, clinging to Tayten's neck. The air, the wind around her felt so nice...
==
==
Mos screamed. Pave jumped up and called after them, "Be careful now!" She settled back inside and sat. "I'm sorry Mos is being so disagreeable." She apologized.

Mos gripped tight to anything he could reach, pulling and screaming, flying through the air. This was certainly not his idea of fun!
==
==
More used to the wind, Dante managed to let her hands go of Tayten's neck. Mos was screaming her ears off! "Calm!" she said, setting both her hands on his shaky shoulders. Despite the bandage, care and time, her burnt hand still stung a little, but it didn't stop her. Bellow them, the city was past them and a lush green field stretched bellow, a lake not too far away.

"Don't be, I guess Dante's scream must have annoyed him lots... Especially since he's so close to Storm..." Mya said, seating again beside Pave.
==
==
Mos pulled his shoulders out of her reach and stopped screaming. She had touched him. She didn't scream, she just said "Calm." He didn't know why he didn't burn her, but he was glad that he didn't.

"I suppose," Pave replied. "He's just been funny lately. I think the nitemares are getting to him, poor boy. But it's better than being burned, I would guess."
==
==
"Nightmares? At least Dante's pain's physical... Do you know what he dreams about?" Mya asked, frowning.

Dante had just realized he hadn't burnt her. Mos didn't burn her. Only Storm had. So it wasn't his fault. "What see?" she asked. More than his unexpected company ticking her off slightly, what was bothering her the most was not being able to see what was around them. Or bellow, for that matter.

They were beginning to fly lower, lower, lower, only staying 5 feet above the ground. The lake was getting near too.
==
==
"No, not sure." Replied Pave. "He always wakes up screaming. Can't tell me about it yet, though."

Mos searched through his limited vocabulary and selected a word that he knew well. "Tofu!" He shouted.
==
==
Dante couldn't help but giggle. She had no idea what tofu was, but the word sure was funny!

Tayten, however, shook her head. "Not tofu, that piece of tasteless crap. This is a lake, with water." She stopped flapping her wings, now gliding, and dipped her paws and underside on the water, the ToRs feet also touching the water, up to their knees, before Tayten raised on the air again.

"Fun!" Yup, Dante sure was liking it, her little winglets flapping too with excitement.

"Sigh... I wonder what these kids will have to go through..." Mya said, shaking her head.
==
==
Mos giggled at the feel of the water. It was wet! He splashed a hand in it before Tayten moved upward.

Pave nodded.
==
==
The sound of their giggles was by far rewarding Tayten for her patience. "Okay kiddos, back on the floor or your mommies will be worried. Mya not too much, cause she already knows I'm insane. Just for fun though..." Not minding her dripping fur, she quickly turned back.
==
==
The door to the HQ was flung open, and in stepped a chipper, long haired boy.
"Hey, peeps." The half demon greeted Mya and Pave, glancing around the room for a breif moment, a silly grin on his face.
At his side was a pink haired boy, his fingers lazily gripping onto his father's loose, black pants. Storm was quiet as they entered, as he always was, and he searched the room as Gabo did, his pink orbs staring at seemingly nothing.
==
==
"Hi Gabo... Storm..." Mya felt like going all 'eek' and stuff. Not cause she didn't like the guys, nothing about that, but what of Dante when they arrived? "I foresee impending hell coming..." she muttered, sweat dropping.

"So, was it fun or not, Mos guy?" Tayten asked, winking to him.

Even the question wasn't for her, Dante nodded, happy. Nothing could spoil this... All pity her innocence...
==
==
Pave smiled and waved to Storm and Gabo. "Hey there."

Mos giggled and clapped. He made a strange noise in his throat like "Yee!" That was so much fun! Once he had gotten used to it, of course.
==
==
A faraway squawk made Mya inwardly panic. Still, with lots of years of hard way trainning, she had gulped it down and kept it well hidden and locked inside, still smilling.

"There it is! Time to land, so hang tight! I still have to get this part done right! Without crashing, I mean!" Tayten said, already seeing the HQ.

Dante didn't understand what she had said in the end, simply clinging to her neck again.
==
==
Mos screamed again and grasped Dante tight around the waist, nearly squeezing her breath out. He didn't like this new sensation...

Pave smiled too, wondering about the scream she had heard. Hopefully a scream of joy?
==
==
Gabo waved to the two girls once again as they greeted him, that grin
still in place. "Where did Dante and Mos run off to?" The half demon
questioned, placing Storm down in his usual area on the floor.
Gabo blinked rapidly as his sensitive ears rang as a result of the scream,
though he knew the others had heard it with no trouble as well.
"What the heck was that?" The boy asked, flicking silver locks off his shoulder.

Storm let his dad set him on the floor, his face dull, staring at nothing.
Where was Mos..?
The pink haired boy seemed oblivious to everything, even the shrill scream
from outside, lost in his own little world.
==
==
Pave looked up. "I don't know. It sounded...Mos-ish." She smiled nervously.
==
==
Gabo looked confused, and he blinked once more as he stared in Pave's direction.
"Why..is Mos screaming?" The half demon raided an eyebrow, but then shrugged it off. That Pave, she was a weird one.

Storm looked up at Pave as she spoke Mos' name, his head tilted to the side slightly.
==
==
"Why scream?" Dante asked Mos. Maybe it was because she couldn't see how far from the ground they were at, or a fast they were approaching the HQ. She just didn't figure it out.

"That would be Dante and Mos returning from a flying trip with my clownfish Griff, Tayten. Prepare for impending doom." Mya said, sighing. Walking outside, she watched them coming closer, closer, closer... "Careful with the claws!" That was the last thing heard from Mya before impact.

Bam!
A blue and orange mass speeded through the room before coming to a halt on the opposite wall's side. Mya was squished under the weight of Tayten and both ToRs, feeling like she had been overrun by a full speed airplane. Tayten was pretty shaken up but laughing madly, her left wing pending on an odd angle with a trail of feathers behind. As for the infants, they were both physically fine, ready for another crash.

"Weeeee!" Dante squealed, completely disorientated. Now she was truly blind, even her 'sensing' abbility heavily scrambled.
==
==
"He went on a ride with Dante, on the back of a Griff." Pave looked pityingly out the window. "He's never flown before. Oh damn, he's going to be scared up there." She looked down at Storm and smiled. "Hey there Storm. Mos will be right back."
==

Just as Pave said that, Gabo's face turned pale, he was speachless.
The half demon watched without words as Tayten made a crash landing into the HQ, laughing wildly. He never seen..such an odd creature before.
The silver haired boy raised his eyebrow once more, staring in disbeleif.

Storm didn't look up until the crash was seemingly over, having just then noticed the winged creatures arival. But..was that Mos' on it's back?
The pink haired boy was happy, but he didn't know what to do with this odd emotion.
Then he saw Dante, his head hanging slightly, eyes focused on the floor.
==
==
Mos hopped off, his eyes wide as quarters and his mouth hanging open. He jumped and laughed. "Yee!" He said. Then he spotted Storm. His face split into a grin and he ran forward. "Storm!" He called.
==
==
Dante rolled down Tayten's back, giggling wildly as she wriggled on the floor, liek someone was tickling her. It had just been too funny! It even blocked Mos's call for Storm for the moment, her little brain still blocked. She just had a blast!

Tayten, grinning, staggered her way near Pave, also giggling, even though she was starting to control herself. "See? They're back in one piece like I said!" she pointed out, her tail flicking from one side to another.

As for Mya... "Tayten, you're so dead..." she groaned, gasping for air while she crossed her arms, gripping on them. She was going to feel that in the morning... A silverish liquid slowly poured through her fingers, shinning under the daylight.
==
==
"Mya, you alright?" Pave looked worriedly at Mya and then stifled a giggle. It had been rather funny to see Tayten drop out of the sky and flatten Mya. And at least the children were alright.
==
==
There was a pain in Storm's chest suddenly, though he knew not why. Mos was here, that's what he had wanted, wasn't it? Then..why did he feel like this?
The pink haired boy didn't feel very happy, the sight of the his best friend's smile made his stomach hurt.
Mos had fun..without you..Mos had fun..with someone else. Mos had fun. With Dante These things repeated themselfs in his mind, but he tried to ignore them as he looked up at the black haired boy.

"Nice entrance." Gabo commented, talking to Tayten.
The half demon grined, a hint of laughter in his voice, his sharp teeth glinting.
"For an over grown chicken." The silver haired boy couldn't help but add, smirking slightly.
==
==
"Storm hug?" Asked Mos bouncily. He was very glad to see his best friend, and thought this merited an especially good hug.

Pave let out a giggle and covered her mouth, trying with all her might to remain mature. It wasn't working.
==
==
"Thank you!" Tayten first told Gabo, smilling, before hearing his last comment. "Oooh, you think you're so funny!" she squawked, half annoyed. Still, the moment just called for a demonstration...

"I'll survive being hard pressed and pounded for the time being... Damn those sharp claws!" Mya groaned, glaring to the Griff. Instantly, though, she started giggling, and then laughing, only in a matter of seconds, to end up hysterical and rolling on the ground. "TAYTEN!" she managed to yell between the laughs, her eyes retainning the same angered expression as before the surge.

"Now you..." Tayten said, smirking, turning her baby blue eyes to Gabo. "... For your information, I'm a Griphon, or a Griff, and I think I deserve more respect then a chicken!" she squawked, her eyes almost shinning. The same 'symptoms' Mya was experiencing started to mysteriously cripple to Gabo as well. "Did you know that laughing does wonders to your health?"

Dante was recovering her normal serious posture bit by bit, and what she 'sensed' wasn't of her liking. At all. Storm was there. He probably wanted to burn her again since she had just spent some fun tme (even if at the beginning it was forced...) with Mos. She wouldn't let him. He was going to pay...
==
==
Pave burst out laughing too, unable to control herself. Obviously it was running in the room, everyone else seemed to be in fits. She laughed until she couldn't hardly breathe, then sucked in a big breath and let the laughter slow down.
==
==
Storm took his eyes from Mos' form, his eyes cast downward once more. He could feel something deep inside of him, and it seemed to a result of the look Dante had shot him. He felt strong emotions pouring from her, a heated fire of hate and fury. Or..perhaps it was just in his mind?
The pink haired boy shook his head 'no' to Mos' question, lazily at first, then feverently.
You don't deserve his hugs, a voice said, playing in the back of his mind. Mos doesn't need you anymore.
Storm stopped shaking his head, eyes wide, then he pulled his knees to his chest and laided his chin on them, as if nothing had happened.

"Funny, no. Smarter then a bird-brained jokster, yes." Gabo chuckled to himself, not quite sure why he was acting this way. He usually wasn't this obnoxious to strangers..or was he?
The half demon stared back, his golden eyes fixed on Tayten's blue orbs, raising an eyebrow at her words.
Gabo suddenly burst out laughing, his silver locks bouncing with his body.
"Dont..get..me wrong..Chicken. I'm..laughing AT you.." The half demon panted, talking when he could paused between laughs.
==
==
Mos faltered and stopped. Storm didn't want a hug? Mos felt somewhat rejected, didn't Storm like him anymore? Storm was surely kidding. He moved forward slowly now, not wanting to upset Storm. Storm is acting funny. Mos thought. He brightened at the idea of a sneak hug and crept around behind Storm, readying himself to spring.
==
==
Storm kept his head against his knees, ignoring Mos as he snuck behind him. A black light caught his eyes, and he looked down to see that the orb of his bracelet was glowing slightly.
The pink haired boy thought little of it, covering the purple jewel with his slender fingers, dulling the glow. After a few moments, he removed his hand, the black light having disappeared.
==
==
Mos sprang, jumping onto Storm and positively glomping him. He squeezed tight and smiled. This was truly: the best hug -evar-. "Storm hug." Mos said simply. He wanted Storm to know that he still wanted to be his friend.
==
==
Storm's eyes widened, as he was completly taken by surprise. He love the way Mos' hugs made him feel, it almost made him forget about his earlier emotions, but not quite.
The pink haired boy shook his head 'no' as his best friend was hugging him, but he did nothing to stop the other boy.
==
==
Mos held fast to Storm, smiling and giggling. Pave smiled affectionately. "So cute." She commented.
==
==
Tayten grinned impishly, narrowing her eyes. "Chicken? You're the one who's so... chicky... Aaaah, look at the time! I have to go and deal with Mya, or else there are several risks our health is taking, especially mine. Meanwhile, you be a goooood boy and lie there laughing like there is no tommorrow, even when every tinsy bitsy muscle and patch of skin are aching as if you had spent your entire life working out non stop. How does that sound?" Sweet, sweet revenge. She trotted off to Mya's side, her attitude changing completely. "Sorry sorry sorry!! I know I have to work on my landing, and that I didn't close my forepaws to keep the claws away, but I was on a roll, ya know? The kids were having so much fun and all..."

"Tayten... You're excused, even for the slashes on my arms... they'll regenerate in no time... But do you MIND???" Mya moaned between the gaps. Tears of her forced joy rolled down her cheeks, while she kept rolling on the ground, curled into a ball. Her stomach was beginning to kinda ache by now... She could feel calm invading her though, sign that Tayten had lifted her control. "That's... one of the... cruellest tortures... I've ever known..." Mya said, gasping for air.

"Can be a great cure too!" Tayten pointed out, chirping in the end. "For physical diseases, mental diseases and an inflated ego!"

Dante turned away and went to Mya, just wanting to become oblivous to what was going on behind her. Even if was just to gain enough calm or control to figure some way to get even from Storm. Focus, focus...
==
==
Gabo squinted slightly, raising one eyebrow as he often did, looking quite confused. One of his fangs was showing as he stood there, looking dumbstruck. "'Chicky'? Are you implying that I look like a girl?" The half demon asked, a hand resting on his hip, not a perfect gesture to disprove Tayten's comment.
Pausing to take in the creature's next few words, the silver haired boy started to giggle.
Was he laughing because he wanted to, or was it the effect Tayten seemed to posses? Before long Gabo was laughing loudly, tears streaming from his eyes, and he had to run outside of the HQ; his pride not allowing him to laugh in front of the Griff.

Storm allowed the other ToR to hug him, but he still had a distant look in his eyes, almost as if he didn't recognize Mos. The pink haired boy made a disconcerted noise, close to a small sigh, and look back to the floor. It seemed that he was caught up in his own thoughts.
==
==
Mos looked sadly at Storm. Why didn't he acknowledge him? He let go of Storm and sat sadly next to him.
==
==
"Feeling better?" Tayten asked Mya, her tail curled around her paws in a guilty manner. Her right wing was still bent awkwardly to the ground, even though it didn't trouble Tayten. She hadn't tried to move it any way yet too...

"Ya. Damn, that was a big strike! Could you keep that going on for any longer?" Mya asked, her breathing regular again. She put her bags behind her ears, the silvery substance stainning her hair lightly. Three slashes could be seen on both arms where she had the hands before.

"Yeah, I think I've mastered my power! Cool, huh?" Tayten squealed, again on a good mood. She'd have flapped her wings in an impulse of joy, but a twitch of pain ran down her hurt wing. "Eek!"

"Told you you need to practice landings... Let me see that. And shut your beak, it's your fault!" Mya ran her hands through the feathers, searching for what bone was out of place. "Consider yourself lucky, just a little pull..."

"Eek!" Tayten winced again, as Mya snapped the bone back on place.

"There."

"That's it? Yuppee! Now I'm gonna search for my lovely voluntary subject for an ego treatment! No one calls me an overgrown chicken and rests unpunished!" She was already ready for another adventure. So, she ran outside, spotting Gabo's laughing figure. "Hellooooooo..." she teased, grinning.

Dante had an idea. Maybe if she searched in the cupboards around the place she'd find something that she could use to revenge herself. Yeah, that sounded like a plan. Since she couldn't see anything that could suit her in the lounge, she sneaked through an open door and proceeded with her vengeful quest...

Speech

=====

Well, since Mos is getting older and visibly starting to grow, I decided he needs more than five or six (can't tell if he's learned more) words. So here goes nothing.
(Far to lazy to color code. Please don't get confused.)

"Mos."

"Pave."

"Good! Now, can you say hello?"

"Ello."

"Close. Hello."

"Hello!" His brain must be getting bigger, I swear. He picks up on things faster now.

"Okay. Now we'll say..." I paused, thinking hard about what to teach him. Might as well start with what Ingina knows, eh? "How are you?"

"Hello." rolleyes

"How are you Mos?"

"How arrrr yoo?" Great, my son is a pirate.

"How. Are. You."

"How are you? How are you!" Mos grinned at me. I don't think he knows what it means. I'll have to tell him later.

"Good." I didn't mean to teach him this, but I said it so much that he picked up on it.

"Good!" He yelled. Ow, my eardrums.

"Okay Mos, what do we learn next?"

Mos thought for a second before replying. "Effie!" How...wha...Double yoo tee eff!!! He knows Eph's name. Not surprising, I guess. But really, who knew?

"Well, you've picked up enough to start an intelligent conversation, let's continue it. Tolstoy."

"Tolsoy. Tolsoy. Tolstoy." I know he won't need this ever, but hey, why not?

"Les Miserable." I think he thinks I'm crazy now. But teaching French to a baby? Really now.

"Lay mizerableh." Close enough. Now for his second language.

"Mi. Paroli. Kelka. Esperanto." Mos is surprisingly good with difficult languages.

"Mi paroli kelka Esperanto." Insert jaw drop here. So he can speak Esperanto fluently, but he can't speak in complete sentences? The gods must be crazy.

Just for a laugh, I decided to teach him a fun phrase. "Mi voli mi voli mi estis a fisxo."

He looked at me for a second and then..."Mi voli mi voli mi estis a fisxo!" So he wishes he was a fish. Nice to know. Took a break from teaching for a little lunch. What did Mos want? "Tofu!" I need to teach him to say please.

Speech

=====

After lunch, it was back to the language board while I tried to teach Mos to say a few more words.

"Please."

"Pwease." I hope he doesn't stick to spewing cuteisms the rest of his life.

"Please."

"Please!" If he knows what it means, I'll give him a cookie or something.

"Now Mos, if you want to get this tofu," he immediately listened to me when I said tofu, "you'll have to say please."

"Tofu! Tofu!" He bounced up and down.

"Say please Mos."

"Tofu tofu! Tofu pleeeeease!" He got his tofu.

"Good job Mos."

"Good Mos tofu Pave how are you!" He shouted. So he's not quite got the hang of speech. Oh well.

"Okay Mos, what do you wish you were?" I hoped he at least understood this. If nothing else, let him understand this.

"Mi voli mi voli mi estis a fisxo!" He giggled and clapped his hands. He's smarter than I give him credit for.

Learning to Write ((a.k.a. "Lernin tu ryt"))

=====

Due to Mos's visible growth ((omgomg his new vest is adorable)) I have decided to teach him how to write. Now, if I kept a completely up-to-date journal on my every thought, I think it might go something like: "Cigarettes Chaos. Home clean
where was that? Maybe better g-- forgot what I was
oh! can't forget" So maybe I can teach Mos to do something like this. I have to go buy a journal for him. He might actually know how to write things, I'm not sure. He spends a lot of time with video games, and Winnie the Pooh might just teach him how to spell.

I think he's decided to call his journal "Mums". He can't spell very well. I'm going to have to teach him to spell better. But he's at least got some punctuation down. Poor boy can't spell "clothes". He had it right the first time. Where did I put th--

Strange Skin

=====

[NOTE: This flashback does contain a teensy bit of descriptive content. Read at your own risk.]
When he fell asleep, Mos knew that the dream would not be a nightmare. He didn't know how he knew, but the feeling of nightmarish dreams was not there. It was hot. Very hot. Sweat was dripping off of Mos's body. Mos looked down at himself. He was wearing a cloth tied to a rope around his waist. His body was not a child's. He was a man. Not a young, strong man, but an older, tanned and aging man. He looked at himself. The sweat dripping off his face was blue, red, white, yellow. He put a hand curiously to his face and found paint mixing on his fingertips. What was going on? He looked down at the ground. On it, a small child, a girl, probably his age, no, his real age. Next to her, a baby lamb. It looked exactly like Mary. The two on the ground were not moving. He bent down to examine them. The girl's neck was sliced almost in two. Hot, sticky blood dripped onto the red sand underneath her. His mind told him to recoil and run, but his body, somehow used to this disgusting sight, laughed. His mind stopped and rewound. Laughing. Laughing heartily at the slain child. He turned to the lamb and saw it's neck completely ripped from it's body. The bloody mess was staining the wooly fleece red. He laughed harder. This laugh was violent, cruel, harsh. He stood, dripping with sweat and laughed. A maniacal, frightening laugh at the gods, the heavens, his underlings! He opened his palms to the sky and a knife blade dropped out. He looked down. The blade was red and dripping. Bloody knife. He laughed again. The laughter built to a crescendo. Like a piece of music, there was a diminuendo. It rose and fell, dropping every time he looked into the sun, rising every time he looked down at the dead child, the bloody lamb. His whole body ached. He clutched his stomach and let the mirth spew forth. He was laughing himself sick. This new body, this laughter was cruel, hateful, spiteful, maniacally insane. And suddenly it stopped. Not slowly, not in a gradual process, it simply halted. His body froze and he could not move anymore. Mos let out a gasp and rocketed back to the present. The lambs scattered away from him and began to eat the hay set at the corner of Mos's room. He gathered his wits together. "Paa~aa~aave!" he screamed. His mother came running into his room, holding a gun and looking around wildly. "WHAT'S GOING ON?!??!" She shouted. Mos looked at the gun and hid under the covers. She put it away and entered the room. He peeked out and opened his arms wide. She hugged him. "Was it a nightmare?" She asked. He shook his head. "I do not know what it was. I--" He broke off. "I was old. I have paint on my face and I kill two things. And I laugh. I laugh until I was sick and then I stop." Pave let go of Mos and stared at him. His eyes were a strange mixture of deep green and a light veil of yellow hues. He continued. "And then I woke up. What happen, what was that?" He looked up at her. She shook her head. "You've had a memory Mos. From when you were a--" She paused, not sure how to phrase it. "From your past life." Mos sat confusedly on the edge of his bed. The lambs nibbled at his toes, but his expression was gloomy.
