I prefer English. I can't stand listening to something I can't understand or have to read subtitles to.

For the most part I watch Japanese with English subtitles but sometimes I watch them in English if the dubbed version is better. A perfect example is the recent American releases of Miyozaki's films. The English dubs are excellent both in sound quality and translation. The original Japanese were recorded low budget and are often disappointing.

English...every once in awhile I watch it in subtitles with japanese words out of curiosity..but I honestly don't really like japanese voice acting so I usually watch it in english. Every once is awhile I'll like a certain show with japanese voice acting...once in awhile.

I give both Sub and Dub a try. If the English dub is good, then I watch it all the way through. After, I switch to Japanese with English subs, to get a feel of the original audio.

One thing I've always been annoyed by is if the voices don't match the character types; then I'd switch to whatever audio sounded better. xp

Used to be in English, but now when I can in Japan with subtitles. The voices sound more natural in Japanese....

If I can avoid watching anime in english, I will. Japanese audio with subtitles all the way. I've been watching anime for some time now and I find that no matter who the actors are, the english dubs NEVER fit the characters, story, or anything correctly. The japanese voice acting is much better, I agree that it sounds more natural as Stormbreaker said. The english just dont sound right. Which is why I never watch anime on tv, always get the anime in its original form. I have a few friends that like anime as well so we swap around and stuff but they are like me. Japanese is definitely preferred.
