Parmida looked downcast as the Matron yelled at her (and the others). At least she hadn't been scolded for tracking in dirt... yet. Her eyes widened as she saw the sparkler, and reached out with one hand to get one. Her hand paused in the air as she remembered it was dirty, and automatically brushed it against her rather dirty dress -having forgotten that all of her was covered in dirt- to clean it before reaching out again and snagging one. She cooed as she waved it around in the air, making patterns of various sorts with the trailing sparks. She paused once more as her ears detected a faint noise, and wandered over to Selma, who seemed to be crying softly. "What's wrong?" she asked, confused. She knew the Matron had been harsh with the scolding, but she didn't think the Matron had been that harsh...

Selma lifted her tear stained face to look at Parmida before pointing outside. "I left Bun outside and now I can't go get him cause we're grounded. I can't sleep without Bun!" She looked at Parmida helplessly as if asking if the other child would be capable of helping her retrieve the lost plushie.

"..." Parmida wasn't quite certain how to help. She had her bunnie still, but she didn't sleep with it every night. She gave a brief thought towards loaning Selma her bunnie, but she didn't know how long they were grounded, plus the fact that she did like having her bunnie nearby, just in case. "..." She didn't know where Selma's Bun was either, otherwise she'd go out right now and get it. Maybe Tali and Niki could figure this out; after all, they thought up the game of "first outside the wall" too! She didn't dare tell the Matrons, they might keep a closer eye on them to make sure that they couldn't go out. "Let's go as Tali and Niki. Maybe they would know what to do..." She reached out a hand to help Selma to her feet.

Selma nodded and softly said "Ok," as she reached for the offered hand. She got to her feet and wiped away her tears with her other hand, while looking around for Tali and Niki. It didn't take long before she spotted them a little ways away playing with their "glo-sticks," her own long forgotten. Looking back to make sure Parmida was following her, she made her way towards the pair.

Parmida helped Selma to her feet, then started following Selma, sparkly in hand. She was still surprised that no one had noticed that she was covered in dirt, but she wasn't about to point that out. Maybe she should wear this color of clothing from now on... Wait, she didn't have this color of clothing... She paused for a moment to think that over, then saw Selma moving towards the pair again, and forgot all else as she hurried to catch up.

Vincent had made it into the building just in time for lunch. The matron sweetly bid him to do his chores and that there was a special surprise for him and the other's later. The same matron, later, began to ask about the others, irritated. Vincent stayed more silent than usual. Later the rest of the children tromped in dirty and delighted until the matron layed into them. Vincent was secretly pleased. He had made it outside the wall and back and didn't even get in trouble. The matron kept boring into them until she mentioned Vincent and how good he'd been. He also noticed that he other kids were throwing him not such nice looks. Why'd that lady have to say that? Well, it was their fault anyway for being late. They shouldn't have taken so long to get back. Anyway they were through before he was. His nice, special matron broke in to tell them about their special surprise but the large, unhappy matron just kept on. Oh well, at least they didn't know how wrong they were. Vincent was delighted as his special person handed him the long glitter stick. Sparkles jumped in every direction spraying the light with darkness. In some way it reminded him about the lightning that flashed with the loud noises rumbled though the sky. Thunder... he thought it was called thunder. He grinned at the other children but none of them were looking his way and his delighted smile drooped. Sighing he stepped away from the others and traced the stick though the air leaving glowing after images in the shadows. He wished it was dark, this would be much neater if it was dark.

Taliesin continued to wave the glitter stick around, giggling at the sight of the beautiful sparks drifting to the ground. They reminded him like of the bugs that sparked in the night when the Matron's thought he was asleep. He liked to sit and stare at them through the small window in his and Vinnie's room. Vinnie wasn't so bad... when it was dark and no one else was around... and he kept his mouth shut.
Out of the corner of his eye Tali could see the two other girls approaching him and by default Nikiana. As the last sparkles disappeared, he turned to them.

The redhead frowned as the last of the pretty lights faded away and she dropped the now boring stick. She turned to see what Tali wanted to do now and turned to see what he was looking at. Ah, Selma and Parmida were coming. Hmm... maybe they had thought up a new game?

Selma approached the pair, her face still tear stained, but a glint of hope shone in her eyes. "I left my plushie outside, while we tried to get over the wall," she said in a slightly more controled and hushed tone, aware that the matrons were probably watching. "I couldn't bring him with me...and I forgot to get him before we came back inside. I want to go get him cause I can't sleep without him...but we're grounded..." Her voice started to gain a slightly whiney edge to it as she looked at Niki and Tali, hoping they could help her.

Tali bit his lip uncertainly as he glanced toward the only remaining member of their age group. "003 is the only one not grounded... unless we sneak out tonight after bed," he added. A frown dripped onto his face. "I guess you should go ask him.."

Selma looked over to where Vincent was, watching him uncertainly. She didn't know him that well. Could she get the courage to ask him to help her get her plushie back? Would he even help her if she asked. The redhead turned back to Tali, giving him an uncertain look. "You think he will help?"

Vincent was digging the still hot end of his stick in the dirt to make the last of the glowing embers fade away. He looked up to notice the other staring at him and turned away; what were they up to now?

Parmida had stuck behind Selma as she asked Tali and Nika what to do. She glanced at Vin in surprise when Tali suggested that Vin could maybe help... He may be ungrounded, but would he be willing to go and get Bun? She waited for someone to ask him.

Parmida flicked a look at Vincent before she looked down to examine her shoes and mutter something under her breath about perhaps it could hurt to ask... But how else were they to get Selma's Bun back for her?
