Hlaine plopped down into one of the truck's back seats as well and turned around surveying the area just in case anything was planning to sneak up on them.
"Your a machine right? Is it a virus? I think I can help you then."
Hlaine wasn't doing this out of kindness but more of a tactical situation. If he helped Tomi now, she could help rescue this sky person. Four people were much better then three.
"You better not be referring to me young man...."
Hlaine rolled his eyes, typical AI.

"Your offer is kind sir, but it is a useless effort. I am a custom model, my father was a great scientist, even without all of my programs in me, if this virus infected me, it will kill whatever you have... and turn it against us... I guarantee it. That's what this virus does... I hoped my immune system would find a cure... but that's simply not realistic with our current time slot... It would take me hours if not days to defeat this thing... it's simply... too much..."
*She looked back at Max still offering him the box he gave her.
"I can survive... but only at about a 10-15% capacity at most. I'll be of no use, I'll remain in the car and out of sight, I promise not to cause trouble... And besides, I should save the box's energy..."

Skylark turned on Tomi, "Like hell your staying behind..." She gritted her teeth as she drove, "We've already lost too many of our number, I won't stand for another one gone," She slmammed the brakes when they reached the spot where they where ataked, she knew which direction they had gone, but she didn'tknow exactly where they were,"Max got the back tracker working?"

Sky looked straight forward fighting off the pain came from his chest. Drops of blood stated to show threw his shirt. The machine was making very small holes but it was digging in deep. The Smaller and deeper the hole was the more it hurt. Sky focused his mind else where. He focused it on Lamyas and Dracons eyes. The machine drilled into his chest again. His eyes flicked as the pain shot through his body yet again. but he continued to focus on their faces.
The pain inside of Max lingered, he repeatedly felt like he was being stabbed in the chest but it was becoming a natural feeling for him and he was able to fight it off with out much expression. He didnt understand what it was but he knew that he was feeling Sky. He didn't understand why but he knew that that was what it was. "That way." Max pointed in a direction that looked like endless rubble. The surrounding of the earth was completely destroyed, and again Max had no idea how he knew that this was the right way but he felt it in his gut.
"You do know the difference between the torture that we are giving you and the torture most endure don't you Sky?" Dracon saif as he slowly he paced back and fourth in front of Sky. He knew that Sky would not answer but continue to just stare at him. "The torture that we are giving you is for that sake of torture. You see, most of the time people get torture it is because they know information, we dont need information from you though do we? Everything you ever have known has been destroyed. We are doing this because we want to see the look on your face."

*Tomi had slowed down her functions incredibly, she only saw in a opaque veiw and most of her senses were turned off, and she had limited her movement also for the car ride, trying to conserve as much ebergy as possible. If she didn't she wouldn't make it back in time to show them the lab... but she did watch Max, studying his face. Though she did not use her sensors on him, she could tell by his sometimes winces that he was in pain. It displeased her to see him in pain... She was very quiet and only listened to them speaking, and unless Skylark or Max told her to do otherwise, she would stay like she was.

Hlaine looked around from the back of the car/truck/vehicle his various suit sensors looking around as well trying to detect something. He didn't see anything even with his night vision on however he knew something was out there. His finger moved from the trigger towards the safety flipping it off. It didn't hurt to be careful. Suddenly the viewscreen showed a flashing red exclamation mark.
"Where?" he said to Jenna.
"I'd say one thousand five hundred metres but they're closing in fast. Oye, driver girl! Might wanna step on it before the 'bogeys' find us."

Skylark grinned at it and hit the acellarator harder, and turned the way that max pointed, "Roger."

"If the robots are closing... in on us like this, it... is no doubt that we are close to their hideout... But... If they do not proze a threat.... that may be worse..."
*Tomi was quiet for awhile before she finally said it.
"They may be expecting us... They may want us to come..."
*Tomi finally moved her head away from the ailing Max and looked at Skylark.
"... We must be careful..."

The pain in max's side continued but it was of no concern to him. His mnind was focused on two different things. The first he was trying to focus on the point to where he had the feeling of Sky. He wanted to make sure that he still on the right path, but the location stayed fresh in his head. The second thing that his mind was concentraiting on was the setinals that were heading towards them, that they were heading towards. How were they going to defeat them, there was only four of them and most were wounded in some fashion. This was only going to get hard for them. Max's hand went to his side and gripped the hilt of his EMP sword. He knew what Sky would do in this situation he would get to the fallen man. Nothing would stop him. Max's brow hardened as he prepared for battle.

Larkin sat in the back of the truck looking out behind them with his rifle raised. "Nine hundred metres.......eight hundred seventy five.....eight hundred twenty.......eight hundred." Jenna droned on, her voice starting to annoy the warrior. The machines were closing in and fast. Hlaine switched clips just in case, just so they were ready. His carbine was loaded and his system's were running on full. "How long is it going to take to get to Sky?" he questioned.

Skylark thought about her gift, andsmiled at her steering wheel, "they may expect us," she laughed lightly the days events catching up with her, "We wouldn't want to dissapoint them." She looked back at Larkin, "As long as it takes..."

"If need be, I will fight too. Sky helped me, what is left of my reason programming says it would be a great trouble and ovexertion on my part as well as a risky effort, for by the time we reach him, Sky may be dead and we not know it. But what is left of my father's programming says that it is something that I am obligated to do and will profit from in the longer future."
*She said this very matter of factly, as most robots tend to do.

If anyone in the group could see through Hlailne's helmet he would notice he was frowning. This was a tactical nightmare. Four humans attempting to storm through a machine base? It was impossible from his view! He wanted to abandon the group right now, and fight later. However he knew he couldn't do that. He was bred to serve after all......this was not good from his view.....

Skylark pulled up to what looked like to her a abandoned bunker, and reached back for her shot gun, just incase. She opened the door, at the moment she knew that they knew they were here, and they were waiting for her to storm the castle, and rescuse prince charming.
She looked back at the others, "So heres what i'm thinking, Me and Max go in and case the joint." She held up her hand before any one could protest." We need...... Hlailne... to stay out here, and help tomi, so it is even a bit." She bit her lip, "If we come back, and give the clear, we can all go in." Skylark hated to leave the others behind, all of her soul telling her to take them with her, but her head said this way was better.

"My original functions were not that of destruction, however, I am quite able of it. The machines were using me as a stealth weapon after all before I was taken in. I will try my best in my current condition Skylark!"
*And with that Tomi took her box that was keeping the virus at bay and she put it on the back of her neck. Metal plugs and wires came out and attached it to her securely so she would have free use of her hands and she hopped out of the vehicle. Her eyes became black and machine like as she no longer saw the world as a human did.
