"Not too badly, I feel better than yesterday at least." he replied. He felt less like he could drop any minute, though his legs still seemed to disagree about him walking too much. Saeki smiled when he heard Patrick’s words. They were really sweet. Even better, they were coming here! The young man’s smile widened at that news. He would love for them to be here a while again. Though he was surprised when they spoke of the food they eat here when sick. What could that be? He wondered. "That sounds great love, I’ll be happy to hang out again. Shall I make you a drink?" he replied and then asked the other. While he asked, he already walked back to the kitchen to make whatever drink they would prefer. Patrick did say they were almost there. Aki was still following him around though he made sure not to get in the way of his owner. He even picked up some of his toys to drop them back in the bag that Saeki had put in a corner for easy access. Once he realized his owner was out of side though, they bounced after them into the kitchen.

Saeki smiled as he listened to Patrick on the phone. They seemed relieved to hear he was doing better. But that was to be expected perhaps, as they loved each other dearly. "Yes, I’m glad it doesn’t linger too long. I wasn't feeling myself yesterday." he admitted. "How are you doing love?" he asked in turn, just as interested in Patrick’s well being as they were in his. After they replied to the drink however, they let him know they would soon be there and they hung up. Saeki chuckled a little and sat down on one knee in the kitchen so he was more at Aki’s height and he petted their head and the sides of their neck before giving them a hug.

The Akita Inu barked happily, wagging his tail like no tomorrow. "So be it, huh Aki? I’ll ask them face to face how they are doing." he spoke to the canine, his voice full of love for both his boyfriend and his pet. Saeki then got back up carefully so as to not overburden his legs just yet and he washed his hands before grabbing glasses. For Patrick he filled the glass with water and placed it on the table first thing and then he got to the fridge and poured himself some fruit juice. After that he walked to the living room with the drinks and placed them on the table near the television in case Patrick wanted to watch things together. He looked up when he heard the knocking and he moved to the door as quickly as he could right now to open it.

He was met with an always welcome face. His beloved was at his door and Saeki smiled at them. "It’s good to see you again hun." he said and stepped aside to let them in. It had not escaped him that Patrick had been careful the day before, perhaps to avoid catching the bug himself, so as much as it was tempting to give them a hug, the young man left it up to Patrick how far they wanted to go. "Come on in sweetheart." he said as he walked inside with them to the living room where he had placed the drinks. It was quite a sudden change from their time at the hotel not long ago, but for now it was best if they avoided Patrick getting sick as well. But they were always welcome, as always!

Saeki smiled as he closed the door and walked further in with Patrick as he listened to them while they stood in the hallway. He was glad to hear that they still liked coming here, despite the current situation. They even replied to the earlier question without the young swordsman asking again. Saeki chuckled a bit and nodded. "I’m glad to hear that." he replied. When they spoke of an air hug though that was a new concept to him and he shook his head. "An air hug? I can’t say I ever have." he replied thinking about it. He then looked at the bag they held up and smiled. Happily. They were so considerate and so sweet. "Thank you hun, that is really sweet of you." he said and if Patrick let him he would take the bag to the kitchen himself after making the air hug if explained how. He still wanted to be somewhat functional. It was still warm too so Saeki assumed they wanted it to be eaten right now. It smelled good too. "You want some too?" he asked Patrick, happy to share as always. They could eat together while they decided what to do today. Since the other seemed to want him to take it easy, Saeki would offer to watch movies or series together when not needing to walk Aki.

Today was the first day where Saeki felt almost 100% well. All the good care from Patrick, sleeping a lot and limiting strain on his body had done their job well and allowed him to heal up quickly. But by now the young man was getting restless and with his health returning so well he had been returning to his training. Nothing really rigorous of course, as he didn’t want to cause himself to fall back, but he was getting a few rounds with his staff in again and this morning he had gone on a light jog with Aki again. Usually he would jog the entire outing for Aki but this time he had made it a mix of jog and walk so he wouldn’t ask too much of his body at once again. They just arrived back home when he could hear his boyfriend’s ringtone go off and he smiled picking up the call. "Goodmorning my love, how are you doing today?" he asked them, his voice a lot better than the previous days.

They had been so busy with him as well as with work, he sure hoped they were doing well still. While he spoke with Patrick, Saeki took off his dog’s leash and collar and hung them up before he took off his shoes and walked further into the house. He would need a shower soon, but he could do that later. Right now he would focus on his call with his boyfriend and he always loved hearing their voice. The young man poured himself some water as he waited for their answer, he felt thirsty after that jog/walk.

Saeki smiled gently at the words. He really was lucky with Patrick. "Well deserved my love. You have been with me almost the entire time. I’m lucky with such a dedicated boyfriend." he replied. When he heard the other praise him though it was his turn to blush. "Wow, thanks." he said surprised and chuckled softly as they spoke of blushing. "You are very good at it yourself." headmitted and they wished each other goodbye for now and hung up. Late in the afternoon gave him plenty of time. He would pass the time waiting with some light chores and when it neared late afternoon he made sure the door was open so his boyfriend could walk in and went to the kitchen for drinks. He looked up when he heard a sound in the direction of the hallway though and he curiously went to take a look. "Patrick? Is that you?" he wondered out loud but he didn’t see them anywhere, in fact he saw nothing that could have caused the sound in the first place. The young man shrugged and dismissed it before he returned to the kitchen to continue the drinks. Even Aki had looked curiously but when Saeki walked away, the dog followed, as usual. Perhaps it was just the house settling after this day. The young man was preoccupied to be fair, he really longed to hold and be held by his lover again.
