Belamos arrived at the Temple with the two girls in tow. He had trained both of them since they were academy students and now, on the eve of the true battle, it was time to test their abilities. Vanishing in step, he would reappear a few meters away. Shifting his gaze between the two girls he spoke "You have both grown stronger in a rather short time. The enemy, Kogarashi, is coming to our gates sooner rather than later. Let's see how far you've come. Nohea, use your blade and try to tap into this new power you have inside you- don't try to control it but rather unleash it. I'll guide you. Aurelia! Let your creativity shine through your Light. Display the power of my name and your mother's birthright!" He wouldn't underestimate them- while they were just kids they were extremely powerful for their age. He shifted his foot back into a ready stance as he awaited their first move.

Aurelia followed Belamos and Nohea into the temple while preparing herself for whatever her father would throw at her. Knowing him, he would not be against holding back, even against family. She recalled all the work and such that she had been through leading to this moment. It was time to show her father she was capable of carrying on her family's legacy. Green eyes faded to a sickly lavender, the twin irises circled by a border while summoning a spear molded by black chakra behind her. She spun it around using one hand as had been taught to her since Aurelia was just a small princess. Her eyes looked over at Nohea. "Follow each other's lead, okay?" The black chakra spear twisted with some fancy finger work and soon caught fire as Aurelia held it in both hands and steeled herself. Once she was ready, the genin rushed forward and aimed to strike at her father with a simple thrust.

__Their trip to the temple was largely uneventful. Mostly Nohea had spent the time thinking about what had happened at the gates and her new friend. Even thinking the word had left her gitty. All she had to do now was not mess it up! How hard could that be after all? Oh! Maybe she could get her a gift? But what do people like? Fish seemed like a tasty choice but salt was so much more practical. She would have to think on it later when Belamos started going on about war. Just another thing to feel elated about if she was honest with herself.
She had no idea who these Korgarashi people were and she had no idea who a majority of these people in this village were. All Nohea cared about was the two people in front of her and whatever battle they pointed her to. Speaking of a battle it looked like she would be getting an early present by getting to show off everything she had learned thus far. A toothy grin spread across her face as she nodded to Aurelia. Finally a chance to pay him back for that fight in the academy. Pulling Hiramekarei from it's place on her back Nohea dropped low to the ground before using her speed to blur from sight, the action world look much like the shuushin movement but it carried with it no chakra. This was simply her raw speed and the culmination of all her training so far. Reappearing behind Belamos the shark girl applied chakra to her blade to change it's form now into a long game-like whip. It's already close proximity to the Sun God thanks to her quick movement from eailer would induce a nausea making it harder to react. Using this then to her advantage Nohea attempted to wrap the whip around his arms and torso, if she was successful he would be entirely helpless for her sister's attack.

The two were indeed strong and seemed inclined to assist one another in this impromptu tag-team. Good. He had made Nohea the protector of Aurelia after all. When they readied themselves, Belamos did likewise. He summoned Shoyoku to one of his hands, twirling the legendary lance once over. In his second hand, he created a golden short spear, one made out of condensed golden light. When Nohea and Aurelia launched into their joint attack, Belamos was ready. As soon as the swords-maiden disappeared Belamos turned his shoulder to face the charging Aurelia and checked his six. Of course, there was Nohea, skidding due to a stop from her high-speed movement. It was only logical to attack his rear if one's partner engages head one. Unfortunately for her, it was a strategy that Belamos knew well and had used himself multiple times.
When she changed her weapon into a chakra whip and lashed out at him, Belamos extended Shoyoku to her and twirled it in the air. As the whip curled around the Sunspear Belamos drove its tip into the ground. Using the implanted spear as leverage he grabbed onto the wooden shaft and leapt a few feet off of the ground, twisting in the air to dodge the spear thrust of Aurelia. Still holding onto the spear he would kick out at his daughter before falling back down to the ground and quickly retreating before the onslaught of the two women. "Don't hold back!" He called out, grinning at the thrill of battle "Show me your best!"

Their first attack hadn't gone how it would have in her head. Her father weaved through the attacks they threw and countered almost effortlessly, The kick sent Aurelia sliding away and clutching her chest as she fell backwards. It took her a moment to get the wind back inside of her body but would begin to let off an aura of steam as she paused to cast a jutsu. With a simple dog hand seal, a clone of herself poofed into existence beside her. "Good, because I'm just getting warmed up." She looked at Belamos before a thought popped up in her mind. Hey, that was a pun! Unki would be so proud of her!
She twirled her spear around and would pump herself up, infusing chakra into her arms and weapon while approaching her father again, dodging and weaving with the clone to throw off which could be the real Aurelia. Once she was close, she aimed to attack her father at his chin, raising the blunt end fast enough while the chakra in her system would unleash itself. Six more versions of the strike would come at Belamos in the time it had taken for her original to attack. Even if it didn't hit, the force behind it would cause a pushback effect strong enough to gain some distance.

__Pure adrenaline rushed through Nohea's veins, she was loving every minute of this fight. Belamos's speed, strength, arsenal, they all far outmatched both of their combined efforts. So why then was she so happy? The logical part of her brain told her she should be careful and collected about this. Caldwell had warned her of the bloodlust in battle, but the shark girl still had a long way to before she mastered it, and to be honest? Who would want to?
Eyes going wide Nohea screamed out in a berserkers rage. Electrified chakra lite aflame over her body and caused her muscles to engorge. Immediately the girl threw reverted her sword back to it's original shape and threw it like a boomerang. It's course led it not to strike Belamos, but to fly over his left side. Because of the way it was thrown the chakra in her blade sought to return to her, and in the process would cut through the Sun God's back if it had to do so. Even lost in her battle trance Nohea still held herself with reason, her plan was to trap the man between her blade, Aurelia, and herself.
Then using the spear still implanted in the ground Nohea swung her body around the handle and used it as a means to propel her small frame across the battlefield in flight until she reached her sister's clone. Hands already outstretched in preparation the shark girl flipped herself off of the Cline's shoulders to bring her full momentum colliding with Belamos. Her leg coming down to strike him in a single furious blow that she would then quickly follow up with a second spinning kick to the head. Her body moving with all the force of a hurricane.

Well, he had asked for their best after all. When Aurelia charged Belamos danced backwards, keeping his eyes focused between his daughter and her doppleganger. Their combination attack was tricky and hard to dodge- an assault that left him taking the butt of the spear to his chest and knocking him back a dozen or so feet. He slid back just in time to catch the return flight of Nohea's weapon. He moved, but not quick enough- the spearman caught a nasty cut across his back from his shoulder blade to his opposite rib. It was long, but not terribly deep wound, yet still hurt considerably.
When Nohea landed and launched into her assault she would find that Belamos always managed to stay one step ahead of her, leaning, pivoting and otherwise dodging all of her attacks. When, at least, she managed to finally connect with him the girl's fist would pass harmlessly through the Male's chest. Belamos smirked down at the girl and crossed his arms before slowly fading from existence
"It appears I have underestimated the two of you..." The voice came from behind them. As they turned to find it's source, the real Belamos Karna would be standing a dozen or so meters away. However, the man standing before them now bore little resemblance to the man they begun their fight against. His skin glowed from within, his clothes rippled and flowed outwards as if propelled by some unseen wind. A glowing aura surrounded the man who now bore a overcoat comprised exclusively of fire. His brilliance was such to behold that it would hurt the eyes of those who looked upon him. He held Shoyaku in his hand once more which was also made up of a dancing flame. Even the blood which dripped onto the ground was not the red blood of mortals but rather the golden ichor of the gods. "...but I can see that was a mistake. You have grown strong indeed and now, I face you not as children, but as young warriors. I will show you my strength as you have honored me with yours!"
As he made his explanation a hundred small, rippling, circles of light appears behind Belamos, beginning at the ground and continuing in a random pattern for dozens of feet into the air. From these circles the tips of spears, dagger and other such weapons appeared. After a moment, twenty five of the weapons would shoot out of their target- Aurelia.
As for Nohea, well, Belamos would enjoy seeing how she defended after seeing her offensive prowess. Raising his foot off the ground, he brought it back down with a soft 'Tap' As soon as he did a ripple of flames spread through the ground. The fire would spread out for over 150 feet in either direction and consume everything they touched. Stone would catch flame just as easily as wood! Strangely enough, while the flames were mind-mindbogglingly hot and as real as any wildfire, they did not burn the body when one came into contact with them. Rather, it was the ambient heat they produced that made them so deadly. And, a moment after their creation, they revealed their second secret. From a fire directly beneath Nohea and pillar of blinding light burst forth and, should she not dodge, would consume her in it's midst.

Nohea would begin her own frenzied assault on Belamos, swinging her weapon around and producing such savage strikes. Aurelia's own strikes hit their mark as Belamos was thrown around wildly as she smiled in hope. She had finally managed to land a hit against her father. Said hopes were dashed upon turning around to see the actual Belamos crossing his arms in front of the two. Aurelia huffed and got into a defensive position as a terrible heat come off of her father's body. His weapon dribbling with a golden ichor, the child would look at Nohea once before the weapons were thrown her way.
The child brought her weapon up and began to whirl the rod around as the golden weapons were deflected away once after the other. Clangs and clings of weapons meeting one another were born while Nohea was off surrounded by a circle of fire. Thankfully Aurelia had grown used to such Shakuton techniques being part of his lineage of course. After the the final weapon was deflected Aurelia brought hands hands together as her Paths flickered, her eyes changing to a darker gray. Several chains would fly out towards Belamos, connected from the child's body. To finish up, she made a single hand seal and raised her hand to the air. Four large spheres of shakuton chakra would fall from the air, heading towards her father's position.

__All her fury was for naught when Nohea's attacks passed through Belamos's golden visage. Realization quickly dawned on her that he must have used some sort of illusion or teleportation to have gotten out of the way, along with her very own weapon coming right at her now. It was a hard thing to adjust while in the air and if it weren't for her specialized training she likely wouldn't have succeeded. Not that her efforts were completely perfect either, bright blue blade of the chakra weapon flinging cut along the side of her cheek and her right shoulder.
With the weapon passed by her the shark girl yanked backward trying to slow it's momentum. At her touch it's form dissipated and came slamming down into the ground beside her with a little redirection from Nohea herself. Couldn't have it coming back only to unintendedly strike her newly found sister. Crisis then averted, Nohea picked herself up amid the flames since then willed into existence by the sun god. It wasn't enough to burn her but her skin being more accustomed to wet and slimy environments left a feeling of deep distress.
Her body lethargic after her previous attack lead her torwards allowing Aurelia take the lead, but when a blast came from below her she found herself unprepared for a blindside maneuver. Perhaps she could use it to her advantage though? Without a doubt the sneak attack had been her favorite initiation, but the veteran ninja had always been able to guess her direction without much effort. This could be her chance.
Letting the light consume her body Nohea trusted in her armour's electric protection to shield her. Before the technique ended the shark girl dropped her sword with a henge placed on it to change it's appearance to look exactly as she did. This fake-Nohea would fall to the ground as if she were defeated by the blast of light, meanwhile her true form would have used the chakra enhanced muscles of the shuushin technique to blur from sight and appear behind Belamos. Her body noticeably lacking the armor she had on before as it had been consumed in the attack, it's cackling would have only given her away anyway. What took it's place however, was all the raw fury Nohea's tiny bloodied fist could manage.

Soon Kameyo and Hajime arrive at their destination, the boy grumbling all the while. He seemed totally distraught about being left out of the fight. But he understood his 'Kage's orders and wishes. He would follow them to the T.
Kameyo had filled the space of their travel from the Spire with empty matters, talking about the weather and how new she was to Arashigakure, since she was just a visiting rogue. She wanted to speak about the war that the kage felt was impending, but it seemed to be a sour topic for everyone in the village, especially Hajime, who was told not to fight. "Anyways, I'm glad you're taking the initiative with your training. Sage training is important. It allows you to channel the strength of your animal contract while also harnessing the natural energy around the world. It's quite fascinating. I think we should try to fit the senjutsu training to your specific animal contract. I'm the sage of the fish contract, who are you signed with?" She looked at him expectantly, studying his face to see how he felt about working with a rogue, let alone one with stitches and tendrils moving beneath her skin.

As soon as Kameyo and Hajime arrived from a dark corner what seemed like a blob would land. Only this heap of clothing would begin to contort into the shape of a human. A familiar sight to Kameyo as being the bodyguard of Ika-Shokuji. Who was absolutely without a doubt a normal human. A diving helmet on his head he'd briefly interrupt the pair. "Madame Kameyo blub. I was informed to tell you that you are to be given authorities in regards to the readiness of your accomplice. If you believe them fit for the field you've been granted permissions by the kage to allow them so blub. Bear in mind because of this their safety will also be your responsibility should you believe them fit for the field blub." The incredibly limber normal human would say in a professional manner. Before adding something else. "Of course, the kage won't say this but even should they die he likely won't hold you accountable anyway due to your affiliation blub." Nohr was a blunt bodyguard, Kameyo was essentially given responsibility without responsibility and the stings towards Hajime didn't seem to stop with the man believing he may very well die. Toso's agent would then like a ragdoll wobble away. On the plus side this at least meant that Hajime would have the ability to join the war effort. If only should Kameyo allow it.
Both women launched their attacks with precision, strength and coordination. Had they been facing a lesser opponent, it was likely they would have overcame his defenses. But not this man. Not today. As their attacks closed in they would find the space Belamos had been occupying a second ago suddenly empty. It was as if he had been removed from existence with nary a sound. It was movement at a speed that not even the fastest of shushins could hope to match. A speed that was matched only by the rays of the sun. The only trace was a slight trail of light which directed them upwards to a free-standing pillar. Standing atop it was Belamos, looking off into the distance. His face was scrunched- as if he were trying hard to hear something far away. Without looking down at the pair he spoke "We're done here. The enemy is approaches" Letting his Divine Persona fade, Belamos turned his attention to the two women below "Nohea. Aurelia. You two are no longer children to be hidden away during battle. In this conflict you will stand shoulder to shoulder with men on the battlefield. What I have seen today show's me you are ready"
He glanced between them, meeting both of their eyes as he spoke before he dropped down from his perch and approached the two, walking first to his daughter. He placed a hand on her shoulder and spoke "You have made me so proud, my little sun. You are the warrior I always knew you would be, but more than that, you have your mother's heart. You will serve your people well. I will speak to the Arashikage, for I believe you more than fit the title of Chuunin." He patted her once more on the head before turning to Nohea.
To her, he spoke honestly and directly, but also with a softness to his voice that had previously been reserved only for family "And to you, Nohea, there is scant I can offer you. You are not a shinobi of the storm, yet you prove your character by risking your life to defend it's people. You have revealed yourself as a woman of the utmost character, and while I have little I can do for you now, there is one thing I can offer you..." Belamos extended his hand, palm outwards to the girl. In his hand appeared a necklace made of a braided silver chain. At it's end was a golden sun with a red spear inlay-ed in the center- the personal crest of Belamos Karna. "...is my name. If you accept, you may bear the name Karna with pride and honor. You will have a seat at my table in peace and a spot at my side in battle. You will be a member of my family. The choice is yours" He would empty the necklace into her hands and remain silent, letting her mull over the implication
Hajime seemed totally fine with working with her, he wasn't one to judge. He didn't know anything about her let alone what may have led to her current state. Whether it be good or bad, she was willing to train him and he wasn't going to be a butt about anything, if he could help it. His eyes met her's and he smiled, listening to her talk. The older lady, in comparison to himself, was rather pretty in his own opinion, and the young man would listen close, before raising a hand to say. "Uuuh, I actually...what do you mean animal contract? I don't think I'm signed with anyone." Was his response to her question, his right hand moving to scratch the back of his head, chuckling to himself, a slight blush on his face.
Then that thing landed with, what he swore was a splat. Hajime jumped out of his skin and had his blades out, pointing right at it, before it began speaking.He listened to its words, and that blush turned a shade of red as he started to get a bit irritated. By the time it was done, slight anger and a lot of excitement was swirling around in his chest, before biting his tongue, sheathing his blades. He snapped his feet together, turned and bowed before Kameyo. "Sensei! I...I-I...as much as I want to, I respect my Kage's current decision and request that we continue onward to training." The kid was biting his lip, it was obvious he was trying to be mature, and adult. A shinobi, following his orders he was given.
Kameyo perked up at the guard's words - was she really being trusted with evaluating the skill of an Arashi shinobi? Had she earned that much trust? She felt herself already weighing the probabilities, feeling perhaps that she should stay by his side if she did agree to put him to battle, just so she didn't cost Toso an asset. However, the guard further explained that she would likely face no consequences and... her hearts warred with a variety of emotions - the woes of having multiple hearts were having multiple desires and reactions. A part of her was angry that she was only given the illusion of trust, but an older heart in her chest reasoned that it was to protect her own new alliance with the village. Another piped up and made her feel that it was a safety net so she wouldn't be torn down with guilt, like the kage probably was, considering how he was handling the chaos during this period of turmoil.
Her other two hearts, one she suspected to be her own, felt more warmed by the idea, though she also felt completely responsible for Hajime regardless. The choice was then taken out of her hands as he assured that he would remain in the village, a choice she had no desire to take from him. Too many of her hearts understood being forced into something, having no will power or control.
She tried to ignore the way her hearts fluttered at being called sensei. "Thank you for the update," she told the strange but familiar face. Then she turned to Hajime. It would figure that senjutsu was not common knowledge since it was a unique but uncommon art. "I mean animal contract as in, one you discover in the Sage Lands, where you may sign in blood your name after earning their trust, so that they will lend you their strength when you require it most. It also permits you the ability to understand nature and utilize natural chakra on top of your personal reserves."
She looked at the temple with a soft gaze as she remembered the adventure with Selina just a day before. "If you haven't signed a contract, you cannot learn the sage arts. That, however, does not mean there is nothing I could teach you. What elemental affinities do you possess? And do you have an idea what sort of animal contract you would be interested in? I could sign you with on my fish contract and then teach you our sage mode. Only if you feel comfortable with developing minor scales and gills," she half-joked with a smile as she entered her fish sage mode; her skin glistened and she developed fish scale patterns across her face where stitches did not fall, and she developed an unnatural blue-green hue, her eyes slightly larger or perhaps just more bulbous in shape. It was strange, but not without an odd quirky cuteness to it besides the omnipresent scarecrow aesthetic of stitches and tendrils.
She looked up suddenly as her sage mode finished appearing. She sensed malice, coming from the direction of the Kage's office. Her panic was evident as she looked to Hajime. "We need to get back to your Kage's office - NOW." She waited not another moment as she turned on her heels and rushed to where they'd just come from.
