Foras almost had the full page colored with little middle doodles, he was working on coloring the background when he heard the sound of someone approaching. Reactively his stiffened a bit, but when he looked up to spot Batholith he relaxed and gave him a soft smile. He offered the notepad to the older nightmare to get a better look at, than started pointing out various pictures.
"This is the fountain here. And there was this cute little bird in the tree over there. I've never seen a Nixie before, so I tried to draw her. I like the leaves on that tree over there...And this is you!" He might be surprised that Foras actually wasn't all that bad, he'd been drawing as often as he could get away with it since he was big enough to hold a crayon. Of course, he was still young, but you could identify the objects, animals, and nightmares he drew easily. There wasn't quite enough room to get the detail in Batholith's eyes however, and so they were a solid purple, one of Foras' favorite colors!

Auren sigh softly, seeing the other Nightmares and students around them more and more, but feeling Pepper's hand holding his made him happy as she is squeezing his. He held her hand tightly and turns to smile at her, trying to cheer her up at least. At least he's not alone here which is a big relief. "Thank you . . ."
The pretty Nixie was crying now, and he frowned. It's not nice to see someone upset and crying, but at least the other Nightmares were cheering her up soon after. He was pulled by his friend, moving closer, and smiles at the suggestion she made. "Yeah! There's good food at the cafeteria, and water too if you're thirsty." He spoke up to the Athena, thinking that if they're in the fountain that she might get more thirsty later on. It seems that Myles is really happy at the mention of food, and it was his turn to tug Pepper away from them so they can have room to step out of the fountain. "It's not far from here. But . . . do you want a towel first?" The Grimm is soaking wet from the waist down, and fears that he'll get sick really quick from being cold and wet.

"Towel?" Myles blinked and wondered why on earth he would want a towel. "Why would I want one?" he asked and then looked down at his pants. "Oh. Nah, I'm used to being wet!" he said. "I go swimming all the time, so I don't even notice half the time." he smiled and his tail wagged a bit. "It's dryer here than at home too, so I'll be dry in no time!" he grinned but then frowned. That also meant that Athena was going to dry out sooner too. He sighed, maybe they could find somewhere warm and damp to talk after food.

"Awwww. Well, Ah guess if yer ears cain't do it, yer ears cain't do it." The idea of giving gifts made sense to her--well, she was a Baphomet, and anyway, while Demon culture might rule politics throughout Below, it was Baphomet traditions that reigned royal in the courts of romance. As she understood it, practically every race did a tendency to do a little bit of Baphometin' when it was time to start layin' on the lips. She approved of that.
She also giggled at Myles's story about his parents. "That's love rahght there--the ability to say t'a person, yer an embarrassment, but that's okay--yer my embarrassment." It was something her parent said to her sometimes, whenever they were in a mood to talk about romance. Usually in the context of complaining about romantic novels and rom-coms...Hey, now there was a question! "Do all y'all have movies or plays where you come from? What's popular rahght now?"
She watched the ear wiggling and giggled once again. Yes, very saucy!
She nodded at Pepper and Auren--those two had good heads on their shoulders already. "Yes, let's get some grub. It's been a big day fer all o' us. As fer a towel, uh...well...we got custodians here who get real pissy if we drip water all over the floor. Just kinda a thang with some folks--Ah'm guessin' not with Nixie, though!
Public declaration?? In front of everyone? Neptune thought he might die of embarrassment if that ever happened to him. And he'd certainly never be the one to do such a thing. Definitely not. Simple gifts would suffice, he supposed. It was good to know that was a thing grimms did... though the arranged marriages kind of piqued his interest as well... was it something that was looked upon positively? He hoped so, anyway.
Talk of food reminded him he was actually quite hungry... was it okay to go with them? The baphomet girl seemed keen on going... he could probably just stick with her, then. He nodded in agreement with her statement, the custodians would not appreciate wet trails all over the hallways...
"It... it'll um... take a while to air dry... actually...... y-you could shake off a little but um... a towel will help." He nodded a bit, then glanced at Athena... She was completely soaked. Probably better to just get her a change of clothes, honestly. But then she'd dry out more, wouldn't she....
"My parents really love each other. It was hard for them starting out, but things are okay now." he shrugged a bit and helped Athena back down to the ground proper.
"Yeah, we have all that." he held up a hand and listed off several movies that were popular three to six months ago. "Plus there's the ones the Nixie's make, like movies about giant sharks and crocodiles and forbidden loves flicks, and of course the legend and myth movies." he said. "And we get a mix of plays from our own stuff and what the Imps bring us."
His ears flicked. "Oh, well if it'll cause problems...I guess Athena and I need towels then..." he shrugged. "Yeah it's not really a big deal...everyone's damp at some point during the day."
Athena simply smiled and slipped out of the fountain, feeling much better....for now. "So...food?" She asked, wringing her dress a little. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to wear a white dress when she was in a fountain...but she didn't care.
"Towels would be nice!" She smiled brightly, nodding eagerly. Wet towels right? Or ones that could help her keep wet? She'd like that!

Pepper was grateful for Auren being there with her. She hadn't even thought about them needing a towel! Most of the time she didn't track messes into the halls, so they didn't bother her. Moving out of the way, Pepper watched as the two newcomers got out of the fountain.
Reaching out, she slid her free hand into Myles' and started to lead them towards the cafeteria. She figured they were less likely to get separated from one another that way. The other nightmares were free to follow, but she was all out of hands to offer them. "The cafeteria's down this way. But, maybe we should get you guys a bit dried off?" she pulled her hand free to tap it against her mouth. It wouldn't be a good thing to trail the water all over the place. "Does anyone know where we can get some towels from without having to go back to the dorms?" she asked.

Anyone
General suggestion for anyone/everyone to take up~
Ares had watched the events from the edge of the crowd, drawn in from his soccer practice by the crowd. He wasn't a Grimm, but the foreigners would certainly be changing things up for everyone at the academy, regardless of how this played out. Soccer ball in hand, he slowly worked his way through the crowd to one of the chimera who had spoken. He'd made a lot of sense and the imp wouldn't mind chatting about the situation with him.
"You've a good point," Ares said as soon as he was within easy hearing range. He kept his voice on the quieter side, not wanting this to become a group discussion. "Nearly everyone here is an orphan, why should the Grimms be yanked from the school just because this pack wants to teach them." The imp shrugged, moving to dribble the ball on his knee. Spending most of the Q&A session standing still was problematic and doing just that small bit helped calm him down a bit. "It'd be easier on everyone if they just sent someone here to teach, like the rest of the races did."

Kid even relaxed when he was around. Cripes.
Batholith leaned over and looked at the drawings, nodding in approval. The kid had a real gift for art--most kids his age couldn't draw for crap, but this one, well, it wasn't perfect, no, but he could at least tell what the subject was. The heads were a little big, but it lent an almost endearing quality to a crummy day. "I think you got the Nixie pretty well," he murmured. "Her ears look like feathers, but other than that, yeah, I can really see that it's her. Nice job on the leaves, too. I never drew leaves when I was a kid--just squiggles." He looked at the picture of himself--were his ears really that big? And his eyes, they had been colored in purple. Huh. What Bath wouldn't give for actual purple eyes. Some people romanticized them, but try walking around for a day with rainbow colored eyes...
"I like the way you drew me," he said very quietly. "I think you drew me very well. Have you ever drawn yourself?" He handed the notebook back to Foras and watched him. His promise from earlier still stood, and now his iron core had turned to steel. He would keep this little guy safe. He had made a promise.
"Y'keep mentionin' the Imps. Are you tellin' us that Imps knew about Nixie an' livin' Grimm this whole tahm an' di'n't tell us?" There was a disturbing thought. Her family--she--liked Imps. The idea that Imps would hide something so important...well, they could be devious for their own purposes. Maybe to protect trade partners and hog them all to themselves? Yeah...that would be Imps for yah. Sweet people, lovin' people, couldn' ask fer friendlier, but they di'n't let anythin' stand 'twixt 'em an' a business deal. "Or is it just a few Imps? Have they imported Sea Nemesis II yet, or do they reckon you've got better taste than that?"
She was asking an awful lot of questions, but so was everyone else--was she hogging the conversation? She looked down at the Grimm in her arms and tilted her head. "Say, friend, am Ah talkin' too much? You'll lemme know if Ah'm talkin' too much, please. 'Cause sometimes Ah get t' natterin' and then just never shut up." She smiled. "Mah name's Melisara. Would y'lahk t'go with 'em an' get somethin' t' eat?"

Neptune shook his head slightly at the little demon's question, though he was sure she wouldn't notice... Ah well. He supposed that maybe someone else knew. Did they even keep towels outside of the dorms...? Maybe by the pool... but the pool was even farther away than the dorms were. How troublesome.
He blinked as Melisara started speaking again, her question interested him, too. Why hadn't the Imps shared their knowledge with everyone? This entire time everyone thought that the grimm were extinct, save for the cache stones, and yet there was a whole bunch of them hidden away with an entirely new race of people. He didn't really understand why they'd keep that quiet, even for business.
Her sudden question to him drew him out of his train of thought with a slight jerk. He blinked a few times, then tilted his head to look at her before shaking it slightly. "O-oh, no, you aren't um... t-talking too much... you have a lot of.. really good questions and uh...suggestions, too..." He nodded, managing a small smile for a moment. "I'm-- I'm N-Neptune... a-and um, yes, if... ifthat'sokayiwouldn'twanttobotherthem..." Oh he really should get better at not mashing everything together... hopefully she understood him...

The janitors could get as pissy as they liked as far as Zahneel was concerned. But it was clear that Athena would need something to help keep her from drying out.
"Towels are a good idea, but not for getting you two drier. I can go get a bunch and soak 'em down for Miss Athena. If the janitor complains, we'll just say we're being hospitable. I'll bring them to the cafeteria?"
Her tail gave a half wag, hoping that this idea would find favor. She wanted to know so much more about these underwater cities and sharks and different customs! She was especially curious about the aquatic pets that weren't skyfish.
"I'll be right back!" she said as she darted off. Maybe she'd bring Tracker Jack and Cornelius along with the damp towels. The little puffballs might amuse Myles and Athena.

He turned his head slightly, blinking as a voice came from beside him. The Imp wasn't personally familiar to him, but he knew they were in the same grade. Arden nodded a little bit, appreciating the support. "Thanks," he offered, sighing a little bit as his arms remained folded across his chest.
"I guess they just have a different power structure," Arden tried to reason but he believed in that idea too. They already had professors of every race. Maybe not specific race studies classes, but every one got their share at some point in their life across their classes. "Don't like delegating that teaching authority," the Chimera sighed, scratching his cheek.
Arden rocked onto his tiptoes slightly, watching as the two younger ones worked on climbing out of the fountain. Food did sound good, and he was happy that his peers were at least being welcoming and inviting. He turned back to Ares. "Maybe if the Grimm do do something, it'll convince the other leaders to maybe step it up," he suggested, ears wiggling the slightest. "Some have barely pretended to care about the kids here." Arden chewed his lips. Maybe he was too much of a bleeding heart, but thinking of all the Freshling learning from book and word of mouth just made him upset. Probably why he usually avoided thinking too much about it.
Kobe smiled to Keegan then looking to his pack. "I'm gonna try and talk to Myles by myself and get some more questions answered... I-if I'm not back soon, save me?" He laughed nervously, slipping down from his pack members back. He scurried over to Myles, trying to stay brave. He took a deep breath and tugged his clothing. "C-can.. I talk to you.... Alone?" He asked shyly, looking up to him. What if he said no? He had so many questions!! He knew his pack would too. His tail tugged between his legs, giving away his brave facade. "P-please?" He asked quietly.
