Okay, that was dumb. The pictures spun around and lights flashed, but when the pictures all stopped again...that was it? Guess so. Yep, dumb.
Wandering away from the slot machines, Kane was second-guessing the wisdom of coming in here at all. Then again, it wasn't as if he had anything else he needed to do. For once, he didn't have to concentrate on the things he needed to do to continue to survive. It left a rather large void in one's schedule. A bit unnerving, having everything taken care of.
Pausing at a table with a spinning wheel, he watched for a moment to try and figure out the point of this one. Didn't seem hard, just Pae'il putting money on colors and things, then watching the wheel go round, waiting to see where the ball stopped, then Pae who picked the right numbers and colors won. Didn't seem to be much science to it; just...luck. What the hell...? Shrugging, Kane dropped a token on black.

Okay, simple, but less dumb than the slot machine, Kane decided, accepting a bottle of wine from a fairy with a smirk. He held the bottle up to the light, studying it, then tucked his prize under his arm. Perhaps he'd sleep ever better tonight than he thought.
Riding the high of his previous win, he headed for one of the dealer's tables. There seemed to be some sort of game played with cards that was also going on. It seemed more complex than the other games he'd played already, and he had to watch a few hands before he started getting the hang of what was going on. There was some element of strategy to this one, as well as trying to read an opponent, with just a little luck thrown in with risk.
He sat down, waving a hand to signal that he wanted dealt into the next hand. He had to at least give this a try.
***
Kane grinned, flashing his fangs at the formerly-cheeky dealer who handed over his prize for winning. A knife? Really? He extended his claws, managing to look almost casual in doing so, as he reached to take the short blade. It was worth it for the look on the fairy's face. Not that he didn't think it seemed like a nice enough blade, now that he had it in hand. Even he had learned the value of a good blade. He normally carried one himself now, but hadn't thought he'd need it on a vacation cruise, so had left it at home with Vika, who would be doing the hunting while he was gone.
It just seemed like an odd prize for a casino to be handing out. Then again, it was rather elegantly designed, and from what he could tell, the fairies seemed to value sparkly or shiny things. Guess it seemed like a valuable prize to them, if only for that. Hell, he'd take it. Maybe Vika would like it when he got home. He'd take back his simple, functional blade and she could have this 'pretty' thing.
Content with his winnings, Kane headed back towards his room for the night. Perhaps he'd break open the bottle of wine for a glass or two before he slept. The knife he'd tuck away as a gift for his daughter when he got home.

Having lost at the slot machines he moved to another activity in the room. He didnt really understand the point of all these, but the ladies seemed to be enjoying them and it gave him a chance to flirt some.
He sat down at a table with cards and watched the game for a moment before asking to be added to the game.

Having won that and pocketing the odd little knife Vash moved on to try one more thing before he was going to go get more donuts and crash for the night.
The final game he joined in on was the roulette table and he didn't exactly understand the game but he tried anyways

Stitch scratched his head. "I guess you are right cousin it was all in my head." he laughed. "If you are worried about it then you should wear some clothing to cover up your then others would not think you smell like bacon. but I do not think it is good for cousin to stay out here on the deck you might have someone try to gnaw on you. Also I am hungry I think there is food on this ship somewhere?"

Of course, as soon as Vash left Zana was...alone. Again. The sudden awkwardness slammed into her as she looked around at all the unfamiliar faces in the dining room. "W-wait!" He was already out of the room though. She scrambled after him, moving around the other patrons with quick mumbled apologies. Where was he going? There! A flash of a red coat around the corner. Zana hurried to try and catch up. "Vash?" Wow. Her pale eyes widened conciderably as she entered the gambling area. So. Many. Lights. And pae! She nearly jumped out of her skin when suddenly she felt something touch her hand. "AH!" The demonic flinched back, snatching her hand away from the rather startled fairy. Something was in her hand! 'If you hit a jackpot with your token...' The poor thing stumbled out, and she slowly opened her grasp. It...was a token. "Oh...oh I'm so, so sorry. I...I..." Deeply blushing, she all but ran to the slot machines. "Vash...?" He had disappeared. Looking down at her coin, she hesitantly dropped it in the slot before pulling the handle. It was what the poor fairy had suggested, might as well give this a go?

Spinning...spinning...spinning...Clack-Clack-Clack! 1...1...2. Oh? She lost? Well, that was anti-climatic. Slowly she turned from it, wondering if she should just hide in her room for the rest of the trip. Wait-A flash of red! Summoning her courage, Zana headed left, but in the frenzy of pae and machines she quickly lost the male again. Sighing in defeat, she turned to leave. 'Care to give it a spin?' What? She looked over at the fairy managing a rather large wheel. She glanced to the right where the exit was in a quiet yearning. She was so out of her element here. 'What do you say lil lady?' Okay. ONE spin. The demonic turned again and without warning, sharply tugged on the wheel.

'Oooo...Tough luck.' The fairy was back then at encouraging other pae, leaving her largely forgotten. Lost...again huh? Now she REALLY was going to leave. She pivoted on her heel and started for the door. 'HEY! You! You look like a winner!' Again? Zana glanced over at the cheeky grin of the blackjack dealer. 'Come on...give it a shot. You could win big.' She was so bad at saying no. Grimacing a little, she sat down. "Okay...now, how do you play this game?" The dealer couldn't conceal his excitement. A sucker.

She was watching wide-eyed at all of the games around, wondering which to try first. Or if she wanted to try any of them. Thalia had certainly kept tabs on where he was, and did not wander very far away, content to shadow the one with the flute. He seemed cheerful enough playing the games, and that pleased her. Seeing him try his hand at the roulette table, she considered it as well. Well. Why not? What was the worst that could happen? Grinning, she approached the table, setting it in motion and waiting to see what the ball would land on. Black. Black. Black black black... ... Oh well. She gave a pragmatic shrug. It'd been worth a shot! Despite who she was, she hadn't really ever been much one for gambling. Perhaps this was a sign that she was on the right track with that! Thalia looked up in time to see the other looking around. Realising he was looking for her, she waved and bounced up on her toes a bit so that he could see her above the rest of the ones there. Making her way over to him, she saw that he had been considerably more successful at roulette than she'd been. "Congratulations!"

He grinned and picked up the fruit/cheese knife and the thingamajigs, though they looked more like earrings to him. He laughed a little at the orange pae and nodded. "True, but I don't think he'd be very tasty for...Meep was it? Is that a wild soul?" he asked her as he stood away from the table. He was happy that he won, but the look he'd gotten from the dealer was kinda mean. "Thanks! I'm Kobalt, by the way, it's nice to meet you." He looked around to see if there was something else he could give a try and his eyes landed on the roulette wheel. "Wanna give roulette a shot with me?"

A smile reappeared across Hjortur's face as he found his new friend, waving back to her as he motioned to the bottle. Had it not been for her own quick movements back towards him, he would have made a quick line to meet her himself. As it was, the idea would only put them further into what was becoming a particularly busy area: perfect for fun, less so for conversation.
It would surely only be a few minutes of talk before they could return to their dance. After all, he could already feel a slight irritation coming from his skin, having forgotten just how quickly he dried out once above water. Soon he would need to return to his room to rehydrate.
Eh, but he was never one to let something like that get in his way.
Proudly, he held up his bottle. "Many thanks~! I was thinking perhaps, later tonight, before we part, you might honor me by joining in a drink or two?" Finding a very particular place to set his drink down, hidden behind some decorations so he might find it again, he grinned slyly up at her. "But first, there are many here that I feel could use some music to their ears and some dancing upon their feet~!" Some of them looked so unhappy; that would not do! At that, he resumed playing his flute, moving around Thalia with some nimble footwork and, silently with his eyes, invited her to join once again.Amasis So, with Thalia's power, does her dancing only create celebrations when she wants it to, or always? /curious

Fueled by his earlier loss, the dealer stared Zana down over the matched cards. "Alright, one more, missy...and this time, I'm adding this one-of-a-kind, rare, silver bowl to the wager," he stated, setting a silver thimble on the table.
(Roll two more 10-sided dice. A 1 or 2 keeps you in the game this time, but a 3 or higher means you bust. First die is yours, the second is the dealer's.)

The fairy seemed to burst with contempt as she placed down her final card, affirming her sinking feeling she had lost this hand. "I...oh. Thank you." Ducking her head, she quickly stepped away from the table in embarrassment. This setting wasn't exactly her thing as it was. She had to go, now. And that was exactly what she was going to do.
Her room was...decidedly boring. Niday enjoyed the peaceful quiet of it, but it only made it increasingly obvious that her twin wasn't there. This was the first time since she had moved out of Apollo's lighthouse that they had been apart for so long. Feeling restless, she walked out of her room. Oh? What's that noise... Some sort of festivity was occurring. Curious, she followed the sound to the flashy 'casino' room. At first she merely blinked in surprise, having never been exposed to this sort of play. A fairy fluttered to her, pressing some sort of coin into her hand. Slots...huh. Well, perhaps this would take her mind off her dear sister. She moved to the machine's and stuck in the token.
