Commander Bunnie angel_of_joy Commander Bunnie Hey, everyone. I'm not new to Gaia, but I haven't been on in ages. Trying to get back into the swing of everything. So, to start off I've always been interested in the Hannibal movies and was kind of stoked to hear that there was a show. I started watching it a few days ago and it's really amazing, they're doing a better job than what I thought they were going to do. Unfortunately, it takes me forever to get caught up with shows. Between school and work, I don't really have a lot of free time. Most of my free time I spend on Mibba.com(a creative writing website) where I moderate the forums and the blogs. But, I'm hoping to meet some people on here. mrgreen My name is Brittany, but some call me Bunny. It's a pleasure to meet all of you. Don't eat me alive. Welcome, welcome! Mibba sounds interesting enough. Is it just original works or is there fanfiction as well? Mibba accepts all kinds of writing. smile Original, true, and fanfiction, and not just stories. There's places for articles, reviews, poems, etc. It isn't the biggest website (such as FanFiction.net) but it has a nice community feel. Well that's cool. I'm always looking for people to read my stuff, and i need a new beta.

My muse is very strange. I only get inspiration when I feel like something needs work, or plot holes need fixing. Hannibal in my mind is perfect just the way it is. Other stuff...not so much but I love the Characters so I feel a need to write so that I can fix all the flaws.

I feel like Bryan Fuller has taken all the ideas of Hannibal and has imagined them in a way that I just can't wrap my head around but that I enjoy so very much. That's why I can't get into it from a writers perspective. Although, and this may sound really crazy, I get characters in my head and they talk to me and lead me through my stories. Currently I'm writing pretty much exclusively for Hawaii Five-O so I hear Danny's voice in my writing a lot, but recently as I've been searching for new case ideas for Five-O plots that I am working on, Hannibal speaks to me in a way that leads me to more serial cases where as before I was writing very robbery, police chase, detective kind of stories to play back plots to the true plot that I'm trying to portray. It is crazy isn't it?

It is crazy isn't it? That's not crazy at all. I can completely understand where you're coming from as a writer. Though, I have a very high respect for those people, like you, who can do stories that do revolve around certain kinds of cases, which if you'd link me I'd check out. I watch a lot of shows that revolve around law/cops/etc (Law and Order, Castle, Sherlock, Criminal Minds) and it really grinds my gears when people take the characters out of that element, which is why I loved the characters in the first place. But back to Bryan Fuller, I don't think I have any words for how amazing he is. The show, even if you take out some of the genius behind Dr. Hannibal and Will Graham, there's a lot of aspects that I just adore. His cases aren't one dimensional, like some shows, and they tie in together in some way, there's a steady flow of progression, basically. Then there's this whole imagery thing where we get to see things from Will's perspective and it just blows my mind.
