Darion looked up at some thick jungle vines and began climbing the trees to harvest them at their maximum length. As he cut them down he let them fall to the ground. There was a total of five long vines that could be used perfectly for tying. Darion grabbed the batch of vine and brought them to Jack."I got the most durable looking vines, hows the wood cutting coming along?" He said as he watched Jack hack away. It was times like this where Darion wished he could make razor sharp objects with his ice.

Jack looked up and said, "I got the wood, its in a big pile right over there. Go ahead and come on down so we can tie those vines. Were losing daylight". After that Jack kept hacking away the last little bit they needed, sweat dripping down his face. He looked up, the sun was still high in the sky but he wondered what time it was. He was so used to peering at electronics to tell what time it was, he wished he had a pocket watch.

Darion grinned for a moment. He poked Jack's face and all the hot sweat on Jack's face froze, doing this would cool Jack down enough for him to become comfortable again. Darion sat down near the wood and began to tie up the vines around the logs."I can tell when it's becoming nighttime by the heat drop, natural heat bugs me so it's a relief for me to feel the temperature drop. I'd say we have four hours until the sun completely sets. I hope your fine that we don't sleep tonight...If you feel tired at all tell me an I'll get you so cold you can't sleep." He said as he finished tying some of the vines.

"Thanks", Jack said as he joined Darion in tying the logs. "Lack of sleep doesn't bother me as long all of are other necessities are met. Though I do question the logic behind sailing into the mist in the middle of the night. Then again, we are in a hurry". He finished tying several logs together. He started to imagine how the raft would look like when he finished it, and at the rate they were going , it looked like the raft would be coming straight from his mind.

Darion finished tying up his end and sighed."Alright...Done"He said as he rubbed his arms. Darion was ready for anything this place had ready for him."I'm confident that we can do this."

Nodding, he and Darion helped each other pull the raft over to the water. He handed Darion a paddle made of thick wood he carved out himself. He to had the same paddle. Now with the raft in place, Jack crossed his arms, looked back at Darion and asked, "Ready to go"?

Darion nodded and quickly stepped onto the raft, he smile as he did so."So here we go..." he said as he looked at Jack and waited for him to get on the raft, once he did he would start rowing.

Darion sighed as he stopped rowing."Hold it...I'll check this out." He said as he then closed his eyes and activated his chi sight.He saw something swimming in the water, unfortunately he couldn't really get a good look at what ever hit their boat."Well I don't know if it was a really big fish or a monster, but keep your guard up..." He said as he opened his eyes once again and began rowing. Darion kept a close look on the water to see if there was any signs of something coming towards them, such as ripples, bubbles or even a shadow. Darion was on high alert until they reached land.

As Darion peers over the side of the boat a woman dressed in nothing but a few vines quietly slides up onto the rear end of the raft. Her green eyes shiftily scan over the newcomers while her tendril-like hair makes a faint hiss. As she slowly stands up her nearly naked form is tantalizing enough to ensnare the attention of any man. The bright emeralds of her eyes seeks to meet these strangers.

Jack froze as a eerie shiver went up his spine. A hiss reached his ears. Something was directly behind them, but they didn't know what. Rather intelligently, Jack decided to not make any sudden movements, and actually use the reflection off of his glasses to determine what was behind them. Jack's face went white, what he saw was like something straight out of a fairy tail....A creature that seemed to be what was known as a Gorgon. And anyone could tell you, staring into one's eyes meant petrification. Quickly he said to Darion before he turned his head..
"Darion. Keep your head still and close your eyes. Keep using that Chi Sense of yours....We have company". Jack quickly summoned up two hatchets in his hands as dark purple ki started to surge around him. A crazed look of insanity crossed his face as he stood up, ready to pounce if anything should happen. With a steady tone, Jack asked the still creature behind him, still keeping his gaze on the reflection, "Call me foolish but I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt. Though I believe I already know the answer, are you friend.....or foe"? Jacks grip on the hatchets tightened.

Darion did as Jack said and activated his Chi Sight. Darion turned his head quickly and got the image of the woman."Keep your eyes on the ground and use your hearing on this one. I'll be your eyes." Darion sighed as he forgot to tell Jack about the Chi Sight down side."Jack...Bad news.About My chi sight, after five minutes I have to open my eyes..." Darion looked at the woman's chi points and sighed in relief. Everything was in it's natural place. Darion chuckled."Boy was I right to expect remakes of mythological freaks...I mean I thought unicorns and Dragons we're ridiculous but a Medusa copy cat? Dang...Poor thing I can see your facial features...You we're a gorgeous girl...You have my sympathizes." He said as the air suddenly got colder around him, He was reading himself for the incoming battle.

The woman did not reply but waited for the two strangers to move. In an almost dance-like stance she moved her outstretched hands with her hips, making her look even more snake-like. She looked like she was prepared to strike, but suddenly she stopped. The snake-woman glanced back at the water and dove back in off of the boat, probably leaving the two guys very confused. They would soon discover why she left. In unison a dozen ash-white heads floated above the surface around the tiny raft, all glaring at the intruders. Simultaneously they then lashed out onto the boat and started shredding it to pieces, pulling it apart plank by plank. If Darion and Jack didn't do something they would soon fall into the murky swamp waters of these monsters.

Darion saw the heads float up and in an instant grabbed jack and jumped on the water, when he did ice instantly formed at his feet and he began running on a path of Ice that would grow with each step with Jack on his back.Darion was going much faster then he did on land, it was something about ice that made him move faster then usual.

He heard a splash in the water, the chill up his spine that was caused by the Gorgon was gone, only to be replaced by a new chill of danger. It was suddenly then that all of a sudden the men they saw earlier emerged from the water and started to tear their boat apart. He was about to react but Darion grabbed him by his collar and took him with as he started to skate on the water using his ice. It took quick rebalancing, but Jack managed to find his center of gravity as he placed his feet on the ice, allowing the forward momentum created by Darion to carry him along.
Jack saw this moment as an opportunity. Since Darion grabbed the back of his collar, Jack was skating along the ice facing towards the men in the white ash. It was time for a little run and gun. As Darion did his thing, Jack began doing his as a burst of purple ki surged around his body as a crazed look of insanity contorted his usual calm features. Two dark purple ki hatchets appeared in each hand. As they would skate along, Jack would constantly throw hatchets of ki towards the men in white ash, which is exactly what he did. Best results, each hatchet would impale themselves in their pursuers, and since Jack was a crack shot, he fully expected those results. With Darion at the wheel and Jack at the guns, he was confident they would get out of this situation alive.
